  • OOoh, I hope this year has special magic in store for you, CiCi, I pray, may your year go well!
Off, I had it right then. I had a wild doubt whether it would be "Psy-Psy Samah". And your new avatar, oooooooh, so cool!
Lol I don't want to keep derailing the dream thread with our bug talk but when I mentioned the YouTuber from my weird fleshy-spider abomination dream it was actually Petko from The Dark Den! I just didn't mention it cause I figured no one would know about him, lmao.
Maybe two veggie-eatting gals like us can trade recipes or even favorite brands of food? In fact, that might be a good topic for your new club! I love field roast apple-smoked vegan artisan sausage. I don't know what it is that gives it it's kick, maybe the golden potatoes. I also recommend the Beyond Burger, both of my parents are meat-eatters and can't tell the difference, neither can I. Cook that in a skillet and throw it on a bun with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and any sandwich goodness you devise and then get ready to drool.

With my family I'm lucky to just have representation on the dinner table. We're still fighting for equality here as vegans and veggies. I've gone to restaurants and church functions etc where there was nothing I could eat, and told things like, "Just pull the pepperoni off of the pizza."

My loved are not all sensitive about my diet. My dad is the best about it, even has no problem eatting meat in front of me, he just doesn't tease me about me not wanting any, and will make sure there's something I can eat too. I still get older relatives uncles etc who try to goad me with lines like, "Give me one good reason why anyone should be a vegetarian!" My mom has no problem asking me to pick up some salmon or chicken for her at the grocery store, even after I have mentioned that I'm not comfortable buying meat. I hear stuff like, "What's so wrong with wearing silk?" or "Did you get this from PETA?" My aunt tried to give me some collard greens with a ham hock in it around Thanksgiving, and that was her idea of a vegetarian. So yeah, they're a true southern family.

I love your new animal rights club! Keep it active and it could be entered for a People's Choice Award!

A lot of folks have said similar things to what you have said to me, that they like The Clubhouse, but can't come as often as they like because of courses and work, which I do understand, so I hope the team will bear with us. We'll see how the next few events go. I'm really glad you joined the forum CiCi Sama and have a little time on your hand to spare because you are blast, and have brightened up so many different places on the forum from The Clubhouse to Trivia to Off-Topic. If there was a member of the year award then it would go to you! /Raises a glass in a toast
Whichever you choose, I'll be the first to join you my friend! An all vegan Thanksgiving sounds amazing. My cousins are vegan and they have been hosting holiday dinners for the last few years so they cook lots of meatless options, one of my cousins is known for her delicious limitation meatballs! My family eats in a potluck style though, with lots of people showing up with food of their own to add to the table, so turkey, honey ham and all that stuff is still on the menu. Thank goodness for macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, cornbread, sweet potato casserole and greens. You have to watch out though, I am from the south where meat is really heavy in the dirt, so sometimes people just throw meat into random dishes. So never let your guard down.

I hope our Clubhouse can stay too by the way. There are several members like us who feel passionately about it. The Help Thread has given me new ideas about how we can make things more active, and I would like an opportunity to implement that, rather than just kill the clubhouse-- which is I think what is at the heart of the discussion, whether clubs should continue to exist or not. It isn't just about the Clubhouse itself as a place on the forum I think, but whether we want to have as much of this kind of content on PC ad we do any longer, should we support for them or let them die is I think the real question. And you know how I feel on this. I'll fight for them.

Yes, you are right in general forum activity has slowed down, and participation has been an ongoing issue for pokecommunity over the years. I'd say it also happens to be a busy time of the year on top of that. I have talked to members and many are buried under school work, and clubs do take more time and effort than saying hey on the daily chit chat, that's what makes them special, because there is an ongoing dedication to something. I think when Christmas is here and students are on winter break and people who are working have some days off from their job, we'll get a bumb. I actually had a giveaway in mind and an end of the year event, and hope The Clubhouse will still be in swing so I can do that ^_^

While there is certainly room for improvement here, and I want to increase the activity, I also think there's a pitfall in measuring success just by the number of users posting. I think whether it is rewarding to the people regularly involved is also important, which is one of the reasons I wanted this to be a public discussion so I could hear any members who wanted to say something, whether it be good or bad, because it is ultimately all about you.

Peace and love my sister, I have been reading a lot of your posts in other parts of the forum and think you are really interesting. I'm glad I got to meet you through The Clubhouse.

    -Sam
I just wanted you know that we have something else in common. I am a vegetarian too, so if you made a club for vegans and vegetarians then I would join and try to help where I can. I know there are some others in Clubhouse who don't eat meat like LadyJirachu. Alternatively you could make something like an Animal Rights club to attract more people and a plant-based diet could still be a big part of the discussion.

I know The Clubhouse situation is up in the air right now, but if there is a club you would like to make go ahead. I will approve it. If you want to post in any of the clubs go right on ahead and enjoy yourself since we still have the house for the time being.

I hope you are having a wonderful week, and if you are in the USA as I am then I want to wish you a very happy Thanksgiving CiCi Sama.
    Stay safe and warm!

I see, hmm! And I think posting something before finishing has a feeling of discomfort or uneasiness? I do enjoy your artwork, though, it has a unique vibe to it. The heart symbol turning into an actual heart is one of my favourite things about your signature! Oh, and the distorted text adds to the creepy vibe.

I love to write and draw! It's just that I have a bunch of other things to do as well. I write articles for the school magazine(-_-) but never wrote a story. I draw frequently, but my skills aren't great, so I draw casually, you know, to pass time or something. I used to draw dinosaurs a few years ago, but the book's somewhere in the attic. They end up like cartoons, some are OK, but as there's no audience other than one buddy of mine and my mother, I don't get much advice. This friend of mine's moved to another city, so my frequency of drawing has decreased...
Oh, I do understand your artwork now that I know who inspired you :) Checked out Kyttibat as well, their artwork is amazing! Do you post those other animal pictures on DevianArt?
And no, I don't write(so far, but an article might come up in the daily) or draw(I used to draw fakemon as a kid, though).
No probs! The bats are adorable, though! Just curious, what inspired you to draw art of this style?
Thank you for being such a good contributor to The Clubhouse. My areas of the forum would be a lot lonelier without all of your activity.

I hope you are off to a good start of the week!

    -Sam
well goodness, i can't speak for whoever was so generous enough to do that.. but my guess is she'd LOVE to see some pastel Sylveon gore *wink wonk* ;)
