Personality: Lan is the perfect Chinese girl: only listens, never speaks. She is very quiet to the point of being introverted unless spoken to. She is generally docile and listens to whoever is in charge without any complaints. She cooks and cleans well and always listens to her elders and her "betters". She can take the punishments given to her without a bat of an eyelash. Her expression is always a neutral one, but always seem to exclude humbleness. She will do whatever she is told without any questions asked. She is also a very polite girl. These factors together may make her seem like a mat that people can walk on. However, this is only a carefully cultivated mask that Lan has created.

Lan, truly, is a very sarcastic girl. Although she likes the quiet, she generally loves bantering with others, especially with her pokemon, and always let her feelings be known if she drops the mask. She feels that respect is earned and not given, different from her culture. She also knows that elders can be wrong and disobeys orders when she feels that they are stupid/morally wrong. She is a pretty good liar, manipulator, and actor. She hates people being mistreated with a passion, but finds herself hardened to death. She is rather cynical and generally hates being touched. She hates alcohol with a passion as well as cigarettes and other drugs. She is also rather intelligent and observant, yet she usually keeps things that she's surmised to herself unless someone is in danger. She can also think of tactics on the fly and can be a good battle planner. She only lets her true personality come out with people she trusts, which is a very few, and her pokemon. Trust doesn't come easy to her though. However, she may lower her guard a tad (enough to actually talk when not spoken too) if her instincts tell her that someone is alright. She generally listens to her instincts as they are usually correct. She generally slips into Chinese whenever she is upset or angry. She also speaks in Chinese when giving out commands to her pokemon during battles, just because it generally makes her opponent harder to figure out what she is doing. She can also mix up her Chinese and her English while speaking as her English isn't perfect.

She doesn't exactly have the best self-esteem which comes from her history. As such, she doesn't have much pride and acts as if she is worthless and isn't a good person/trainer. She absolutely hates being touched and dislikes any second floor. She also hates being near windows.

While battling, she states what she has to (attacks), but nothing more.

With her pokemon, she is very open. Although still rather cynical and dark, she does love her pokemon and would do nothing to ever harm them.

Appearance: Lan has straight, black hair that reaches to the middle of her back. However, she ties it up into a messy ponytail, as strings of hair can still fall on her face. She also has narrowed black eyes. Her skin colour is basic for Chinese people: a light colour with a tint of yellow. She is 5'6 and weighs 120lbs, but most of her weight comes from her developed muscles. She looks to be younger, with her skinny physique, which can cause people to underestimate her. She has quite a lot of scars, the worst being centralized on her shoulder blade. Without looking at her scars, she could be seen as attractive, but not the prettiest girl around.

Lan wears a black, Chinese styled shirt with sleeves that reaches up to her wrist. She also wears baggy, black long pants that allow her to maneuver around in well. They reach up to her ankles, not touching the ground. She also wears black, Chinese-styled flats that allow her to move around quietly. She doesn't wear any jewelry, nor any make-up.

History: Lan was born in Viridian City, Kanto. As a young child, she generally liked going to the Viridian Forest to play with pokemon as many of them were fairly gentle with children (just not pokemon trainers). Once, her mother went looking for her while Lan was in the Viridian Forest. When Lan came home, she was four at the time, her mother had not been heard from in a long time. Her father and Lan gathered search parties for her mother and they found her broken body in the forest. She had been attacked by wild pokemon, all because she wasn't a child. Ever since then, Lan had been scared of forests and pokemon that live there and her father had buried his sorrows in alcohol. Her father was a very violent drunk. At first, it started with yelling; an unstoppable rage when Lan had dropped a plate while trying to prepare dinner. Lan was five. As the only women of the house, even though she was a small girl, she had to pick up the chores that her mother had; cooking, cleaning, and caring to the "man" of the house. Once, when she made something not to her father's liking, as he was drunk, he punched her squarely in the face. She was still five. This seemed to be the twig that broke the dam. Whenever he was drunk and upset, he would hit her, sometimes beat her. That wasn't to say that he didn't love her. Whenever he was sober and saw how injured she was, he would beg for her forgiveness and shower her with affection. Lan never knew what was worse: the fact that her father beat her, or the fact that her father beat her and was sorrowful but never stopped. When she was nine, after a lot of drinking, her father snapped. They lived in a second story house in Viridian City. Her father pushed her out of a second floor window. Her father arrested, herself injured and scarred, when she was ten, she got her starter, Mareep, and left.

Lan went to Unova first. It was certainly different than Kanto, but she tried to blend in as well as she could. She tried not to stick out, not wanting anybody's attention. Many people didn't pay attention to her anyway; they thought her too quiet, too strange. She gathered pokemon and battled the gym leaders, winning all eight badges. She made it to the league and got in the top 32. During Unova, she didn't really experience anything exciting aside from the Desert Resort and finding two fossils as well as battling triple and rotational battles. She feels that she likes triple battles VS double battles, but ultimately likes single battles better.

Sinnoh was next. Like in Unova, she didn't really get close to anyone. She had met Cynthia once, but they never really got too close. They did exchange phone numbers, however. Cynthia was the first person that she truly let a small part of her emotions out. Like in Unova, she gathered her pokemon and won all eight badges. In the league, she got into the top 16. Now, Lan met her Spiritomb strangely. She had managed to bump into a man who gave her a key. Curious, Lan tried to see if there was any place where the key would fit. She managed to find the hole, but found that it didn't do much. After finding various treasures underground and talking to various people, she ended up passing the tower again. She brushed into it and then a Spiritomb came out of nowhere and attacked her. Using her pokedex and realizing that Spiritomb had no weaknesses, Lan captured it.

Hoenn followed soon after. She was also very careful, very closed off. However, she did spot her first legendary pokemon there. Lan was able to see Latios and Latias while roaming around Hoenn after getting all eight of the gym badges. However, it was a quick sighting; Latios and Latias had zoomed out of there after sharing a surprised stare with Lan. In the league, she got into the top four.

Johto came next. For some reason, she was a legendary pokemon magnet at this time. She managed to see Entei, Raikou, Suicune, Ho-Oh, Lugia, Celebi, and Mew. Like with Latios and Latias, she saw Entei, Raikou, and Suicune while they were roaming about. However, while Suicune ran away, Entei and Raikou attacked. Although she didn't quite manage to knock them out, Lan managed to injure them enough in battle for them to run away while only her Tyranitar was left standing. This was after grabbing seven badges. Ho-Oh was a creature that Lan saw flying. It gave off a goldish, rainbow colour that was quite strange to Lan. However, she was able to take a picture of it and has always kept that photo onto her. Lugia, like Ho-Oh, was only a pokemon she saw in passing. She was surfing near the Whirl Islands when a shadowy figure was underneath her and her Lapras. She also managed to take a picture of Lugia as well. Celebi and Mew are the ones she met together. Sort of. She met Celebi while traveling through the forest in which Celebi resides. Celebi pretty much kidnapped Lan and took her to the past. When she realized where she was, she was in the Viridian Forest. She met Mew in the Viridian Forest after she traveled through the forest, twitchy. Together with Mew, she managed to stumble upon her mother in the Viridian Forest. It automatically hit her what was going to happen. Although she tried to save her mother, Mew had stopped her and so Lan watched her mother died. After this, she was sent back to the current time by Celebi. After this, she decided to go to Kanto without going to the league after winning all eight gym badges.

In Kanto, Lan had decided to visit her father in jail. As they weren't allowed alcohol, her father was sober. When he saw her, all he could do was apologize, chant "I'm sorry" over and over again. Lan took the apologies and left without saying a single word. The next day, he was found dead in his cell. Foul play was unsuspected. Lan won all eight of the gym badges and went for the Indigo League. She managed to battle her way to the finals where she lost. As the runner-up she was eligible to go against the Elite Four and the champion. She managed to defeat the Elite Four, but lost against the champion. However, she was able to severally weaken the champion's best pokemon, allowing the winner of her finals match to become champion. She also met Mewtwo in the Cerulean Cave, but aside from an exchange of glances and Lan's head meeting the wall due to Mewtwo, they didn't really have any interactions with each other. Ever since, she has been training in Mt. Silver alongside with Red. They didn't talk, but there is a certain kinship between the two. Completely platonic, however.

Lan heard about the tournament and decided to join.

I was going to use a serious character but meh. The one I was thinking of is too serious for this shindig. So it's time for Alyss to take the stage as a full-blown character!

Name: Alyss Redford
Age: 12
Gender: Female

Personality: Alyss is incredibly introverted. She's naturally shy and quiet. It isn't aloof in the slightest, merely a lack of social confidence. She blushes a lot, more than usual due to sudden occurrence of hormones in her body. Alyss has trouble speaking properly, saying um and hm or saying the entirely wrong word all together. Sometimes the girl will actually stutter or mumble to herself. Even when she gets used to someone she is not a chatterbox. Because of her quiet nature, she frequently gets underestimated and overlooked. She doesn't mind this as much; it means she is able to surprise others. It does make her upset when she wants to say something.

Alyss is not aggressive, not at all. Confrontation flatout scares her and it s a great surprise that she can battle. She says that when it is done right it is a relaxing and exciting event, something that captures even her emotions. She enjoys photography and one day wants to be a professional... if she can ever get the courage to sign up. Alyss usually second-guesses herself, sometimes worrying she hasn't thought about something enough. When you don't talk you think a lot.

The girl is currently being affected by fluctuating hormones, causing her to have trouble speaking to just about anybody due to how odd her body feels and the odd emotions shifting in her head. So don't expect a look in the eyes from her, even if she was fine. It also means she might be suddenly touchy-feely. There is a guy who she may have feelings for but she's not entirely sure about much of anything. It's one of the reasons she's in this tournament; to clear her head.

Appearance: Alyss is short and thin, just starting puberty if you want the truth of it. She doesn't have much of a bust and probably never will. It's not exactly the most important part of her life. Is she healthy? Yes she most certainly is. You wouldn't guess since her skin is naturally cream-colored. Her hair is black, the shade of a Blitzle's fur and long, reaching down her shoulders and a white bow on the left side of her head. Her eyes are a watery blue, the cheeks below them nearly constantly flushed pink. Her skin in general is darted with freckles. Are there a couple zits? Perhaps.

Alyss was raised rather differently and even now, two years off on her own, the idea of having her skin uncovered anywhere other than her hands and face in public is rather discomforting. So she wears a white shirt and black leggings, each featureless as neither is seen that much. Over this is a grey pocketed sweater and long white skirt respectively. On her feet are black socks and grey loafers. None of these are her favorite colors(except white, which reminds her of snow) but she isn't allowed to wear a white dress anymore, except for special occasions. On her belt is a fanny pack which has her camera.

Normally she'd do without it but her friends have convinced her to wear a blue Santa hat for the tournament, the cap decorated with silver snowflakes. Around her right wrist is also a bell, a Soothe Bell given as a joke since it hasn't rung in years. The story is it will ring when the person needs the sounds the most. Both clash horribly with her muted colored outfit but Alyss doesn't mind, except when the hat itches.

History: Alyss was born to a family nearing divorce as it was in Veilstone. Up until the age of five, she was raised to be a formal, modest little girl despite disagreements on both sides. On her sixth birthday she was sent to live with her guardian's family while her parents tried to sort out their relationship as it fell apart. Her guardian's family was in Celestic and there were more people there than she thought. One of these was an odd dark-skinned boy who called himself Zor. He happily kept an eye on her over the years, becoming the oddest big brother figure she would ever meet, especially when she met his Kanto penpal. Yet she really liked them and her friend Adam, who was more of a crybaby than her.

At the age of ten, the two encouraged her to go out and take a journey in Unova, get away from her parents' shadow and all of that. Despite the fear, she was curious about the idea and set off days later and made a long journey down to Canalave and its port, headed to Unova. Feeling prompted by an instinctual excitement, she decided to take on the Pokemon League challenge. Alyss excelled in the battling after a time, learning how to raise her Pokemon and fight with them, something new and thrilling to her. She practically floated into the League battles. She actually made it to the top eight, only to get beaten by a man's Electrivire and Vibrava combo. So for a while she trained, trying to get stronger. That was when she heard about this competition and thought: um, sure? It would be interesting that was for sure.

Species: Leafeon
Nickname: Arca
Gender: Female
Moves: Quick Attack, Magical Leaf, Synthesis, Bite, Shadow Ball, Solarbeam, Endure
Personality: Arca is a motherly, mature Pokemon who fusses over Alyss and all of the others, whacking their heads with her tail to scold them, no matter who it may be. She is slightly playful, enjoying being around young as much as they tolerate her. When her trainer is in danger, she pulls out all the stops, attacking with every bit of strength her tiny, tank body possesses. Flora usually stays out of her Pokeball, the better to keep her trainer safe and sound.
History: Arca is Alyss' first Pokemon, her choice instead of taking a starter. They've been close these past two years, the then Eevee being a key player in many of her victories, particularly in Unova. She was originally meant to be a Glaceon but while in Eterna Forest on the way to Canalave, they came upon a Moss Rock and she accidentally evolved. Regardless, the Grass type is quite happy in her current form.

Gender: Female
Moves: Foul Play, Night Slash, Scratch, Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, Extrasensory
Personality: Zanna is bitter and an insomniac. Well, she's not as bad as she used to be, thanks to Alyss. But other than her and maybe three other people, Zanna would happily claw the faces off of humanity. Bad trainers mean bad blood. Since she's not allowed to do that, Zanna settles for bashing their pathetic Pokemon into the battleground. Yes she's quite competitive. She hates losing, hates it more than a lot of things. The angry, wild Dark-type does have a soft side, but woe betide you if she doesn't like you and you see it. Taunting her is also not smart, she has a delicate self-esteem. She's also an easily jealous and clingy fox, not hesitating in creating lies to keep what she wants.
History: Zanna suffered from bad trainer. It wasn't physical, gosh no. She just never seemed to satisfy her old trainer no matter how many battles she won. It drove her to fight as much and as hard as she could. It wore her out almost daily. One day her trainer and Alyss met and traded, herself for a Gyarados Alyss had raised. Her trainer thought it had been a steal, except the Gyarados was much more docile than anticipated. Alyss endured quite a lot of biting and clawing throughout that and if it weren't for the near constant attention Alyss gives her Pokemon, the girl's hands would still be cut up. It did help when the Zorua finally evolved though.

Personality: Marina is a fun-loving creature who enjoys the water as much as she enjoys playing with children. She loves the spotlight too and is rather upset when its off of her. Is there vanity in this Water type? Oh yes and she does not care. She is true to herself and that is what matters. Well that and some nice blue Poffins.
History: This creature came from humble beginnings, a lake in Mt. Coronet and fished up by Alyss while she wandered lost in the mountain. Raised to the maximum of beauty potential, Alyss mistakenly thinking there were contests in Unova, she was slightly slower at gaining battling prowess than the girl's Gyarados. She did miss her battlemate when he was traded but the Pokemon was off to bigger and better things as far as she was concerned. Was she envious? Just a little. But she would be better than Gyarados- oh I'm sorry, Draon- ever dreamed up.

Personality: Aros likes punching things. Or to be more honest, being able to break things in general. He doesn't sweat the small stuff as long as he has a nice battle to get him going at some point and he is pretty much good to go. He is likely the most laidback of Alyss' team, which is good, considering he can likely beat all of them.
History: Alyss caught him at the Valley Windworks. Most of her team was caught in Sinnoh. He nearly beat the newly evolved Leafeon but Arca fought tooth and nail to get him down. He was Alyss' second caught Pokemon and managed to beat Chill and Skyla (separate battles) on his own.

Nickname: Vix
Gender: Male
Moves: Extrasensory, Flamethrower, Confuse Ray, Quick Attack, Energy Ball, Dig, Roar
Personality: Vix is incredibly like Alyss: timid, nervous kit with a powerful urge to prove himself. He's more modest and clingy, the young member of her battling force also refusing to stay in his Pokeball unless he's really scared by something. Driven by Alyss' feelings of trepidation sent through while he was in an egg, he seeks to reassure people and Pokemon despite his own fears. When it comes to battling, he gives himself a tiny pep talk and tries to be as energetic as possible, like Vritra. He really admires the Rufflet.
History: Vix was an egg Alyss was given half a year ago by a friendly breeder who she had helped while taking a break and earning money in Undella Town. A citizen gave her one of the eggs for payment, the girl refusing the large offered sum. Alyss was nervous the entire time, having never raised a baby before. She was pleased to find Vix an okay Pokemon. Not easy, but okay.

Nickname: Vritra
Gender: Male
Moves: Slash, Wing Attack, Aerial Ace, Shadow Claw, Protect, Leer
Personality: Vritra is the happiest bird ever, taking just after his father. That means he is not particularly well in the head but oh well. He is going to become a powerful warrior just like his dad. He will be a LIBERTY WARRIOR, one who fights for freedom and justice! What does that have to do with Alyss? Well, with her help, she will allow him to show wild Pokemon the freedom that is fighting with trainers. He is more sane than his father about this or at least a lot less childish for a year old. Adler was a rather maniacal creature. However he is a powerful bird and he cannot be stopped! He will fight those who fly and those who don't and surpass them all!
History: Vritra is the son of another Braviary called Adler, belonging to Alyss' brother figure. He was hatched before he met Alyss and did not take to her right away. He made the girl climb up a mountain to get him and saved her when she nearly fell off. They were... well, not close, but definitely friends afterward. He hasn't been in as many fights as say, Arca, but he's gotten plenty of action since their meeting in a home on Village Bridge.

Name: Mira Hotake
Age: 18
Gender: Female

Personality: Mira has an eccentric, carefree personality. She likes to communicate with people, and is pretty much a naive optimist. Her personality could match that of a naive 10 year old, however, her intelligence and experience is always great for her age. She is pretty much has a quirky nature, spreading randomness, yet understandable joy to the people she meet. When communicating, she does have a habit of stressing syllables. For example, when she says "later", she says it as: "laaaaaaater." It's a certain weird habit of hers, however, she doesn't mind it at all. Morever, she is also like a chatterbox; it's like she almost never stops talking.

MIra's ego isn't exactly as big compared to the other pokemon battlers she has met, however, she does have her own desires to eaither win, or to just have fun. During battles, she is usually more excited than the average person. Sometimees, she is so excited that she blurts moves that her pokemon can't learn like "HYPER BEAM!" or "ZAP CANNON!" or even more, "TANGENT!" Speaking of Tangent, Mira does like Math. In fact, she loves math. Often enough, she could base her pokemon strategies to a math problem. This is just her style -- her way of battling. She loves pokemon, except for brown ones, because it reminds her of her old teddy-bear that she was afraid of. Mira also has a habit of doing comical, yet slightly annoying facial expressiions, each depending on the situation.

Appearance: Mira is about 5'4. She has brownish-white skin, which isn't too bright, nor too dark. She is also pretty skinny, but not too skinny that she is bulimic or anything; she is just naturally skinny from her DNA. Mira is most notable for her large, black, powder puff hair style. She holds part of that hair style in tact with a pink bow, which it prevents her hair from getting to poofy and big. Sometimes however, she would keep her hair shorter by arranging it into a hair style that isn't too poofy, which Mira holds her hair down by hair pins.

Mira's outfit consists of a dress, which is mostly black, with white underlings that cover her top. Her dress isn't that big however; her dress comes down just past her knees. Her dress is made up of silk, so that she'll be more comfortable walking around. Mira has brown high heels that has light blue buckles. Fortunately for her, her high heels aren't actually that high, so that she will be more comfortable in them. Mira also has light blue bracelets on each of her wrists.

History: Mira was born in Kanto, specifically in Fushia City, where the Safari Zone is. Her father was a staff member working for the safari zone, so, throughout her childhood, Mira could remember always going on adventures in the Safari Zone with her dad, seeing the pokemon that lived there, and taking good care of them. When she turned about 11, it was time for her to catch her first pokemon. The Safari Zone was the perfect place for her to catch one. So, her father paid for her to go into the Safari Zone, to catch whatever pokemon she chose. The first pokemon she saw was in fact a NIdoran female. So, Mira threw her Safari Ball right towards the NIdoran, and, after a few lucky seconds, she had finally caught it. Nidoran was her first pokemon.

In a few more years, Mira had decided to go on a pokemon adventure with her Nidoran. SHe wanted to catch as much pokemon as she could, so, often, she would re-visit the safari zone to catch some pokemon, and befriend them. Her excitment grew so much that it lead to eccentricness, which Mira tried to perform funny faces with her pokemon, and discuss possibly funny moves that they could do during battle. Her eccentricness was not a weakness, morever. With her new caught, and strong pokemon, she travelled throughout the gyms in Kanto and collected 7 gym badges. As she was gooing to collect her eighth badge, she then heard about the Tournament of Snow. Another good chance to meet more pokemon to battle with, Mira decided that she will come to compete in this tournament, facing rival after rival.

Sorry, I didn't submit my SU yesterday. I wasn't home for most of it and I have a lot of my character done, I just needed to see everyone else's histories so that they don't conflict. And now I have to go to a match for a sport in which a school from out of state is coming to play so I can't really skip that. But I'll post it later.

To prove that I am actually working on my SU.

Name: Xander Mitch
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Personality: Xander use to be a very confident, bratty, sixteen year old. He was unbearable to be around according to many people because his ego use to be very big. However, his ego was deflated by a ten year old, pretending to be an albino with his cap, that looked way to similar to hair. He realized that he needed to grow up and what better way to grow up than to go on a journey?

As time passed, Xander became mellower and much calmer. He is naive as he still believes that if one works hard enough all their dreams will come true. He smile a lot and enjoys talking with people. However, once friends are made, he finds it hard to let that bond and connection last as he often finds that friends he makes tend to drift away. Xander, however, has become a bit insecure about himself. At times he still believes that he is unbearably overconfident and he believes that it is the reason why the friends he makes just tend to drift.

Xander has adapted a creative mind because of his hiatus from the battling world and his thrust into the contest world. He enjoys running about, fishing, spending time with his pokemon, and sleeping. He despises people who bully others, especially if someone badmouths his pokemon. He rants and screams when he is mad, so it is best to stay away when he is.

Appearance: Xander still wears his clothes from his confident bug catcher stage. He wears a straw hat, with all of his pokemons' pokeballs attached to it. He wears a white tank top, but instead of his shorts and slippers, he wears dark jeans and a pair of vans. A back pack is slung against his back, filled with is supplies and instead of a net that would have been sticking out, it's a fishing rod. He has an uneven tan because of his attire and has noticeable tan lines if he were to strip. He has brown eyes and black hair. He use to be fat, but he's fit and lean at the moment. He is thinking about getting a tattoo, but he isn't sure of what.

History:
Xander use to be one of those annoying aspiring bug catchers who almost practically lived in Petlburg Woods. He dreamed to be one of the best bug pokemon catchers and trainer of the world and he was all high and mighty about it until he was floored by some dude posing as an albino and his Torchic. Xander had taken this loss very hard, but this loss and Spirit helped him realize that he needed to grow up and that he was naïve to believe that he was the best trainer in the world.

He left home and began traveling to obtain badges and catching pokemon on his way. He was able to gain three before his losing streak began. He became discouraged and decided to take a hiatus in Lilycove City. In Lilycove he learned of contest and learned that a good way to evolve Julia without trading would be to enter contests and feed her pokeblocks, so he decided to participate in them. In the contest world he learned a lot about new ways of taking care of pokemon and developed a new style of battling. When he heard about the tournament in the region of Unova he immediately signed himself up, hoping to get back on the battling track.

Species: Yanmega (Level 40)

Nickname: Scouter
Gender: Female
Moves: Tackle, Foresight, Quick Attack, Double Team, Detect, Super Sonic, Uproar, Pursuit, Ancient Power, Sonic Boom, Feint, Night Slash, Bug Bite (Night Slash and Bug Bight are listed as start moves so I am adding it.), Hidden Power Ground, Protect, and Signal Beam.
Ability:Speed Boost.
Personality: Scouter is a very carefree pokemon. She doesn't let anything trouble her and lets problems slide by. She doesn't worry about much, but that can also be her weakness because as well. She has a high tolerance for pain and annoyance. Scouter enjoys to fly about rather than be cooped up in her pokeball, so Xander lets her stay out.
History: Scouter was a gift from Xander's mother and was given to him before she died. Scouter has been there for Xander through the thick and thin and was even around and had enough tolerance to tolerate Xander through his overconfident and his ego inflated stage of his life.

Species: Breloom (Level 40)

Nickname: Joker
Gender: Male
Moves: Absorb, Tackle, Sun Spore, Leech Seed, Mega Drain, Headbutt, Mach Punch, Counter, Force Palm, Sky Uppercut, Mind Reader, Seed Bomb (Breeding), Stone Edge, and Swords Dance

Personality: Joker is a kleptomaniac. He likes stealing things from others and often brings back these lost items to Xander, much to his chagrin. Joker is an entertainer and enjoys playing pranks on people, the only exception being Xander. He thrives on attention and enjoys making others laugh. He does silly things and tells jokes, however, only pokemon seem to understand him. No pokemon has really laughed at his jokes before, except Timothy. Joker has a soft spot for the Kecleon and the Breloom treats Timothy as his younger brother. Whenever a wild pokemon or a trainer owned pokemon bullies and/or makes fun of Timothy, Joker is always quick to defend him. Joker and Timothy work very well together and Xander uses this to his advantage in double battles.
History: Joker was the first pokemon Xander has ever caught. While Xander was trying to make his way through Petalburg Woods, Joker had happened to steal their food causing him and Spirit to chase the Shroomish around the entire forest. Xander managed to corner the poor pokemon and caught him in the process. Joker was a very disobedient pokemon and enjoyed causing Xander much distress. However, when one of his pranks had gotten too far with the local wild pokemon and Xander had defended him, gaining his respect.

Gender: Female
Moves: Water Gun, Wrap (Listed as Start moves by Bulpapedia), Tackle, Splash, Water Sport, Refresh, Water Pulse, Twister, Recover, Captivate, Aqua Tail, Rain Dance, Hydro Pump, Dragon Tail, Blizzard, and Mirror Coat.
Ability: Marvel Scale
Personality: Julia, like many of her kind, is calm and collected. It is rare to ever see her mad. When she is mad though, she has somewhat violent outbursts, but when she is mad at Xander she completely stops listening to him during battle. (Which has only happened twice.) Julia gets along with Bo the best and Dusclops considers Julia her favorite child. They socialize often when they are out of their pokeballs.

Ability: Color Change
Personality: Timothy is very shy, especially around new pokemon and people and won't approach unless told to by Xander. Timothy is also very easily amazed by new, fun, and amazing things, which makes Joker like him the best. He has a very wild fascination for city lights and many times in the middle of the night he would stare outside just to look.

Timothy's best companion, beside Xander, would be Joker. He is very amazed by what he does and is very entertained whenever he is around. Joker likes him this way and has a soft spot for him. Timothy is often bullied by other wild and trainer owned pokemon because of his timid and shy nature, but in battle he has shown he can hold his own.

Personality: Donny is a very sensitive Heracross. He gets angered and saddened easily. He needs constant comfort when he is saddened, which is usually given by either Bo or Xander. When he is made he makes childish outbursts and often rants and complains to Xander, even if he doesn't understand. Xander usually tries to take Donny's complaining and ranting, but when it goes on for too long Xander puts Donny back into his pokeball. Donny doesn't work or get along with Joker much as Joker finds his reactions funny whenever he steals his food or even plays a simple prank on him. At times, Joker makes fun of him. Because of these reasons, Xander never puts them in a double battle.

Personality: Bo is the newest addition to Xander's group. She maybe new, but she acts like a mother to all of Xander's pokemon. She nags and coddles them as if they were her own. When she isn't in her mother mode she is very calm and quiet. She is also very intelligent and she doesn't tolerate stupidity of others besides her family. When she is annoyed she stays silent and ignores the person, pokemon, or issue(s) that made her mad.

Nickname: Lucas
Gender: Male
Moves: Fire Fang, Thunder Wave, Leer, Tackle, Howl, Quick Attack, Spark, Odor Sleuth, Bite, Thunder Fang, Thunder Bolt, Flamethrower, and Discharge.
Ability: Most likely Lightning Rod, however, Static is a possibility.
Personality: Lucas is very hyperactive. He's childish and enjoys having fun. He likes to socialize with many people and pokemon, unlike many of his kind who like to keep to themselves. Lucas is a chatterbox and can converse for long periods of time. He, however, is afraid of being alone, (besides being in his pokeball). Oven possesses the unique ability to eat fire type attacks and use them to power himself up. However, this leaves him more vulnerable to water type attacks than he already is.

Gender: Male

Personality: Jainero is a Spanish-Speaker, meaning he has a very obvious spanish accent. Due to this, he seems to be very mannerly and good with the ladies since his family is quite rich. Jainero is a very gentle man, not getting involved itno anybody's business unless he's pushed into doing so. He doesn't mind being the center of attention, but doesn't like to be alone either. He can start a chat with anybody, but can't help but notice flaws in everybody's perosnalities. He's very calm, collected, and quite the observant one. Jainero is very nice towards others, yet keeps his past and true colors to himself. Only the one who truly understands him or goes to be his best friend can see the true colors of Jainero. He's very good in the arts, having a taste for reading and sketching. To those he loves, he protects and gives his life for. To him, enemies are those he rarely cares about, never paying attention to them or showing hate unless he was alone with that enemy. Deep inside, he's very cold-hearted, but doesn't let anybody see that side of him due to being shunned or pushed away. Instead, he keeps those thoughts to himself, always acting yet thinking the opposite. He would never do something without a reason, meaning that he wouldn't go to a decision simply on emotion itself. He must have a reason.

He likes to be lazy and ponder, thinking ideas and strange notions that might pop out. He's scared of being underground however, which is unsual for a guy like him. His true personality is a very cynical, cold-hearted person. He bottles this up since, as was mentioned before, does not want to be shunned aside or regarded as an evil fool like his brother warned him.

Appearance: Jainero has spiky blonde hair whose bangs are jaw-length that framed both sides of his face. His eyes are blue in color, and quite a handsome one, or so his family states. He has fair-skin, and quite tall for his age, standing at six feet. He smiles most of the time, very rarely showing a tear or a frown except to his true comrades. He wears a black jacket with its inside colored bright yellow. It has blue outlines, along with the trail of the zipper, edge of the hood, the two strings, and the edges of the jacket blue in color as well. He wears dark green cargo pants, having plenty of pockets in them. The pants cover the tongue of his shoes, that are black with a blue sole in color.

Jainero is a very well-behaved boy, or so his parents told him eversince he was born. Born in Hoenn, Jainero came from a very rich family, wealthy and able to get all the best there is. However, his friends thought he was spoiled and snobby. Wanting to get positive attention, he begged his father for a cute pokemon to show to his friends, when in reality, he just wanted to a reason for people to see him in a good way. Being wealthy and all, his Galvantula had an egg that same day. To his surprise, his father gave him the egg for him to keep, stating that "nobody can surpass my Galvantual anyway". He went to school with a smile on his face, now gaining popularity for being the only 5 year-old kid with a pokemon egg. After a while, everything went great, until it hatched right in front of class in a show-and-tell. Materializing into a Joltik, who was quickly named Jolt since the first word Joltik said was "jolt". He was known as the pokemon lover eversince, being the first to befriend a pokemon in his grade. Everything went so great in his life, that on his 7th birthday, his father gave him a baby Mudkip for being the most popular kid in school. His parents were proud that he was spreading the fame of the Garza.

Everything went well until they moved to Kanto, since his father had to move over there for business matters. Unlike in Hoenn, most children here loved to battle it out. In here, it didn't matter who had the cutest pokemon, but who had the strongest. At first, he thought it was rude to use the pokemon for battles, until a local bully found him and started to push him around. Only 8 and a half years old, his Joltik jumped out his head to save the day. However, it was too small and did not have any experience in battle. The bully then grew amazed at the mysterious pokemon he had never seen before. Snatching it, Jainero ran after him, tears in his eyes. Mudkip then decided to come out of its shell and save the day, using Water Gun to make the bully trip. Letting go of Jolt, Jainero ran back to his parents house. Afraid, he didn't know people like that existed, who merely stole pokemon from someone else. Angered and troubled, he did what any other kid would have done and started to train his pokemon. Training both his Joltik and Mudkip, he used their huge backyard as a training ground. At first, he found it pointless, yet after only 3 months of hard work had passed, he witnessed his Mudkip evolve into a Marshtomp. Having seen what training could do to a pokemon, he pushed them even more, wanting to see what Jolt to evolve to. After a year passed, he was 10 years old and his father thought he was old enough to see the pokemon he dreamed his son would have. Taking him to a nearby corporation of his, he introduced Jainero to his boss. After talking what seems to be hours, he grew bored and didn't realize his Joltik had escaped to wander the building. Sneaking away to find his Joltik, he suddenly bumps into a nice Hydreigon, which was rare to see a very docile one despite being an aggressive species. On the dragon's head was Jolt, smiling and biting its fur. A while later, his father and the business owner found Jainero and were surprised by how quickly the Hydreigon and Jainero bonded, stating that to be a kid like this was rare. Overwhelmed by how his pokemon bonded with Jainero so quickly, he gave him an egg the dragon pokemon would wish to give away. Quickly accepting it, they all rushed back home.

It took a month until it hatched, but the wait was good. It was a baby, female Deino. Hugging the pokemon at first sight, he quickly named it Draga, since it reminded him of the name "Dragon". Not long after, his father saw him too soft and told him to start a journey to toughen himself up. Shocked by the news, he was thrown out of the house at the age of 11, along with his current three pokemon: Joltik, Marshtomp, and Deino. Depressed by the actions his parents took, he started to roam the forest that was right in front of their house. One week it took him to realize that his father was right, he was too much of a softie and not enough battle power. He then straightened himself out, still with tears, and went to challenge the first gym leader. The gym was easy to beat with both Deino and Marshtomp, his Joltik simply watching it unfold. However, the second was a bit harder. The water specialist didn't show mercy, telling him that if he wants to beat her with the Joltik, the bug must know more. Hurt, he ran off and trained his pokemon to their maximum potential, eventually harming them without him even noticing. After a few weeks, he noticed how his pokemon were breaking down, and thus took a break. The gym leader thought he was gone for sure, yet he returned unexpectedly. Wanting a rematch, he was able to easily defeat her with Joltik and Deino, keeping Marshtomp out of this one. After winning, he laughed and got back to himself for having 2 badges now, in Kanto. Third badge wasn't as hard, Marshtomp able to defeat them easily with the help of Deino. Joltik simply watched. Watching the Raichu made it want to grow a desire for evolving, seeing as how every gym leader has evolved pokemon. By the time, they reached the 4rth gym, Deino evolved into Zweilous within the battle. The dragon pokemon was able to defeat the whole gym by itself, yet with the help of Joltik of course, since Marshtomp's true weakness lies in grass as was put out of the fight altogether. The 5th was a breeze to defeat, yet the sixth badge was a whole different story. They got defeat once, and he demanded a rematch after training for a month. Defeated again, he demanded another rematch and was defeated once more. Losing hope, all the psychic user could do is tell him that his pokemon were no match for her's. Losing pride, he left for a while and wondered about his pokemon. Could they defeat the psychic user? It was then Denxyr ran away, Jainero worried sick and following it to a lake. There, Marshtomp was able to convince Jainero to train a different method. Agreeing, he let Denxyr train on the lake, learning new moves and eventually evolving before his very eyes into a Swampert. They challenged the gym, and were able to defeat all but one pokemon, which Jolt decided to face himself. Weakened, they were about to lose until he suddenly started to glow. Evolving, he then revealed himself to have evolved into a Galvantula. His heart skipped a beat as his long time friend, and first one, had finally evolved into a good shape to battle. They defeated the rest of the gym with ease, and defeated the seventh gym easily too. The 8th gym was quite hard, yet they managed to pull it off with luck. They nearly ended with a tie, yet Denxyr was able to somehow stay awake and stand up, thus giving them the win. The Indigo Leage were the only ones standing in his way, since his father had found him and he was already 14 years old. Amazed by his growth, he decided to take him back to Hoenn for vacation for a few months. He couldn't say no, since he couldn't resist the face his father gave him that showed how proud he was for his son. This was unreplaceable.

Flying back to Hoenn without having defeated not even one Elite, he was able to show Zweilous the first place he was born at. His friends were no longer here, somehow moved to another region or city. It was nostalgic to be back in Slateport City, his hometown. There, he met a rather good rival named Sux who owned two Ralts of both genders. Noticing how harshly he treated his pokemon, he challenged the boy to a battle to see how he was damaging his pokemon, stating that he himself knew how he felt. In the end, Jainero won by a longshot, and embarrased Sux in public. Running off, he never saw him again until later in life. He started to train his pokemon here, and decided to go through the gyms here as well. Since his pokemon were already experienced, he was able to defeat 4 gyms in a row. However, the fifth was a challenge, yet they managed to pull it off by a hair. The rest were a breeze to take, soon going off to the Elite, yet his father stopped him once again for some unknown reason this time. The vacation was over, and he gained an even higher position of power back in Unova. Agreeing once more, he went with his father, and only his father, to Unova. There, they found a house to buy that looked just like a mansion in Castelia City. He immediately didn't hesitate to start battling there, able to defeat the first two gyms with ease. It's as if the Hoenn and Kanto were starting all over again. However, when he reached the third, his Galvantula made some friends with Burgh. They defeated his gym, yet his Galvantula grew attached to the gym leader's pokemon after the fight somehow. Leaving Galvantula to his care for a while, he felt a bit hurt since Jolt has never done this to him. Fighting the fourth was easy with Denxyr and Draga, as well as for the fifth, yet the sixth was going to be a problem. They desperately needed Galvantula, since Skyla defeated them quite easily. Having two pokemon was not enough, and thus he decided to venture out into the wild to search for some new comrade. Instead, he found a good place to train and started to train both Swampert and Zweilous. While in this training, a Pawniard was watching them from a distance. It took a month later that he noticed the pokemon, and tried to befriend it. However, it was a hard one to catch, and demanded Jainero to beat him in a one-on-one fight. Using Zweilous for this one, it took a while, but was able to defeat the talented Pawniard. Impressed, he asked to join to grow stronger and faster. Jainero didn't hesitate, since he was the coolest looking pokemon he ever saw. Now making him part of his team, he gave him a spanish name to honor the strong pokemon: Espada. Soon after, he trained the Pawniard by himself for a week. After the training, he decided to fight Skyla again, this time with Pawniard included. The fight was brutal, but he won by a longshot thanks to how strong the Pawniard was, and how he used his blades like swords, which is a reference to his nickname. He defeated the seventh gym leader with ease, and before fighting the dragon gym, he bumped into Burgh. He stated that his Jolt was missing him dearly, thus making Jainero feel special. Reunited with his Jolt again, he told him the stories of what happened while Jolt was gone. Impressed, he met the Pawniard, happy to have a cool-looking member on their team. They then went for the 8th gym, and were able to defeat it.

Fate took over and his father came back before he could even enter the gates to defeat the Unova League members. His father told him that the business was going to break, and he needed money from his son, who currently had even more than the business. Too generous, he decided to give one half of the money, and helped his father bring it back up. Jainero's 17th birthday came, and his father was feeling so proud of his son, he gave him a pokemon egg from Kanto that he was saving for his 18th, but he wanted to give it to him a year earlier. How his father would keep an egg unhatched for so long, he did not know, but he had the egg. Meanwhile he trained his pokemon before entering the Unova League, he found Sux again. He was training one of his Ralts, the other already a Gardevoir. It seems the other ralts didn't want to evolve. Too harsh on the Ralts, Jainero watched as Sux glanced at him and made his hands into fists. Angered at how his old enemy had got so far with those pokemon, and him not able to make his own pokemon evolve properly, he exploded with jealousy. Abandoning the Ralts, he ran off with the stronger Gardevoir, starting to rain right after. Jainero decided to adopt the Ralts, who was alone and scared of humans. It took him a month at most to gain the trust of the Ralts, naming him Nathaniel. After gaining his trust, he decided to train the pokemon. In that time period, his egg hatched into a Gastly, thus making him train both at the same time. He named the ghost Shadow. Once both evolved to be Kirlia and Haunter, he decided to go to the Unova League. This time, his father didn't interrupt him and fought Shauntal first. Using his two new pokemon first, they got defeated easily, yet his Pawniard and Galvantula helped him defeat her. After that, he healed them up and went to face Marshal next. It was in this fight that his Zweilous evolved into a Hydreigon, which completely helped Jainero win the fight. When it came to Grimsley, however, he defeated all his pokemon except Pawniard. Espada was fighting against the opponent's Bisharp, yet grew defeated by the skillful Bisharp. Jainero decided to take a break, and decided that his pokemon needed to train more. His Pawniard was desperate to evolve, wanting to defeat his evolution. Agreeing, Jainero trained his pokemon long and hard through the months, Haunter eventually evolving into a Gengar. His Kirlia evolved into a Gallade, yet his Pawniard remained small. His father then came to notice a desperate Pawniard, and took out his own Bisharp. Both trained till their hearts content. It took a while, but finally came the moment Espada defeated the Bisharp. Right after that, he evolved into a Bisharp himself. Now fully evolved, they were all going to go for the Unova League, but got caught by the Tournament of Snow. Deciding to test how powerful they really were, they signed up and decided to enter themselves in.

Being the very first pokemon, he's the only pokemon who can tell whether Jainero lies or is hiding his emotions. Jolt is a kind, caring pokemon, just like his master. However, just his Jainero's negative side, he also hides a cynical, cruel side when he gets summoned to the battle field, showing no mercy.

Personality: Denxyr is a very calm, yet lazy pokemon. He doesn't battle unless ordered By Jainero, as is a very powerful pokemon if he observes his opponent's battles, in which he usually does. Unlikes his comrades, he is always collected and never seems to go into temper. However, it's not impossible to make him mad. If he does go angry, he simply goes silent and blocks the world around him until he's better off.

Personality: Out of all of Jainero's pokemon, she's the softie of the group. Yes, this is hard to believe. She may be the one everybody fears, but the one who is just too kind. No matter how much a pokemon hits or hates her, she will still show compassion. To her, the word enemy does not exist. She's too kind, and due to that, she's sometimes taken advantage of. However, she will listen to Jainero's orders, no matter if it comes to a pokemon battle.

Out of all of Jainero's pokemon, he enjoys pokemon battles the most. He will do anything to win, yet not as far as to cheat. He might make himself faint of give himself in if it means not losing. To him, losing is like losing pride. He does not accept defeat, but try to get revenge.

Name: Garret Turner

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Personality: Garret is seen by most as, well… a jerk. He is very arrogant, unless people have some sort of notoriety, to Garret they are unimportant. This applies to trainers in particular, if they don't have a medal or trophy to prove their ability then they aren't skilled. Even if they're world renowned, Garret thinks of no reason why he isn't better. Well, believe it or not, he isn't just 'bark'; his arrogance isn't coming out of nowhere. He's actually a very talented trainer and has awards to prove it to himself. At least he has a good head on his shoulders, he's very shrewd and calculating, which attributes to his training ability. He's also able to hold his temper, or lack there of, and refrain from going off on someone very well, in fact he could easily just ignore someone or phase them out of his mind.

While most only see his jaded semblance, he is extremely hard on himself, and disciplines himself perhaps too much sometimes. For example, he'll sometimes train with his pokémon until they're on the brink of their physical capacity and possibly only a few breaths from collapsing. Now normally the pokémon would be the only tired ones, but he realized on the first year of his journey that pokemon were creatures with knowledge and emotions. So the believes that unless he trains with his pokemon doing the same things (within human ability) that they do, he couldn't possibly understand what's going on in their heads. To his pokemon, he's their caring but harsh trainer. They never give up on the other.

One thing that Garret can't cope with, if anything, is losing. He generally doesn't do much but win. But when he faces someone that he can't beat and he's losing the match, he starts to panic and lose most of his skill, but his pokemon are able to pick up his slack. When he loses, he does nothing but eat, sleep, and train until he feels more confident in his abilities. Aside from that it would be very difficult to hurt Garret's prodigious ego.

Appearance: Garret is of average height for his age, standing at 5 feet and 6 inches, he has very little mass for his height though he is only one hundred and five pounds, with little muscle and very little fat. He might be a bit thicker if he ate more though. He's really quite average in his appearance. He isn't handsome enough to have women go crazy about him, and he isn't ugly enough for them to want nothing to do with him.

Garret has dull black hair that he wears up in a strange spike on his bangs that seems like he woke up and pushed his hair up. He keeps the rest rather trimmed. He has deep blue eyes that rest just above his gaunt cheeks and his small nose. His facial features are also very average with regular sized ears and his jaw being a bit wide set, compared to some people out there.

He wears a black short sleeved shirt underneath a sleeveless, red hooded sweatshirt with a pocket on the front with half of a pokeball design on it. In cold weather, he will switch his sleeveless hoodie for a long sleeved one that is relatively big for someone his size, dipping a bit below his waist, and the sleeves coming halfway past his palms. He wears dark athletic shorts that he will switch for black jeans in the cold. On his feet he has a pair of mid-height shoes that can't qualify as high-tops and can't be called low-cut. These shoes are bright red and have white rubber on the soles and toes, with white laces. He carries a black cloth sack with a leather drawstring, because he doesn't have very much to carry aside from a pokédex, clothes, pokéballs, money, and a badge case, with the occasional miscellaneous item that drifts in.

History: Garret was born in Hoenn, in Slateport City with a father, mother, and twin brother Alex. His parents divorced when Garret was eight and Garret went with his father to Sinnoh, while his brother stayed. The two didn't get along at all. After the move to Sinnoh, Garret and his father settled in Sandgem town. On Garret's tenth birthday he was scheduled to start a journey, and did so reluctantly at his father's insistence. He started with a Turtwig, and didn't really care too much about his journey until after his first gym battle, which he won, he was saved by his Turtwig from the Oreburgh Mines that were collapsing. He realized that he should start to look after his Pokémon and care for them, and after nearly dying, he realized that he hadn't accomplished much if anything in his life so he set out to beat the Sinnoh Pokémon League.

He completed the rest of his journey through Sinnoh with a great deal of haste (1 and a half years), picking up many Pokémon along the way and training them to be quite powerful. He competed in the Pokémon League and only with a huge stroke of luck placing 6th (It started to rain when his Slowbro was facing his opponent's Rapidash, being their last two Pokémon.).

After his loss he went to Celestial Town and caught his Bagon and decided to train it there until it was a Salamence for a year. He challenged the Pokémon League again that year and came in 4th. He decided that it was good enough for the time and went to Hoenn where he knew his brother was. He left his journey after he had beat Flannery, and before he found Alex to go to Unova for the Tournament of Snow.

Personality: Cass is a jokester, always trying to have fun. And is all to eager to pull pranks.
History: Garret caught Cass in the Old Chateau as a Ghastly and was evolved into a Haunter. She hasn't been evolved into a Gengar, because Garret doesn't want to trade her to anyone who would ruin her with their inexperience.

Nickname: Gliscor
Gender: Male
Moves: All up to 40 & Agility and Baton Pass.
Personality: Gliscor is very pugnacious and tempered. He doesn't listen to or care for Garret as much as the others because he was obtained in a trade.
History: Garret got him in a trade from another trainer at his first Pokémon League.

I think he said that you may have a pokemon that would evolve after level 40 at level 40 but evolved. Lemme check.

EDIT: Yep "You will not catch any Pokemon during the RP, and all Pokemon shall be around level 40. If you wish, you may have a level 40 version of a Pokemon that doesn't evolve until after level 40."
