MARCH 2nd, 1925

Autumn : Morning

Wakey, wakey! The sun is up! Sigh…. Isn't it a gorgeous day? It's a bit cold today, it being the beginning of Autumn and whatnot. Better pack a scarf with you! Oh! Look! The Carrier Pidoves are here! Wonder what they're giving out today to people?

Sorry for my chitter-chatter; it's just that I'm really excited. Today's the day you start your journey! This day is certainly one to remember. Now, first thing is first. You must shove off to pick up your Trainer Papers at the Registry Building. Once in there, just shift and squirm your way through hectic crowds of aspiring trainers and pesky lines to get in front of one of the clerks. He or she lead you through the registry process, where they'll analyze you and stamp all the appropriate papers if you pass so that you can be a fully legalized Pokémon League Trainer®! Anyone can throw a Pokéball and catch a Pokémon…. But you're here to participate in the government sponsored tournaments available to you! You'll be on the radio! Maybe even taped and shown in a cinema! Do I see the future Champion in front of me? Or perhaps the Top Coordinator? No…. I know now- The new Regional Pokémon Professor! That's it!

Well, whatever it is you want to be, you'll need to work towards it. And best place to start is with a Pokémon to raise, no? The clerk will give you a funny little slip of paper where you take to a quaint little ranch-like place outside the building where they keep a huge amount of Pokémon. You will be lead in and provided with a choice of newborns, where you'll pick whatever one you want. Simple as that.

After all this, you're on your own! Want more Pokéballs? Buy some in the next town over or buy them off someone. Want some info on your new buddy, or any other Pokémon for that matter? Go to a library or something. Want to make your buddy stronger? Throw them in front of another creature and hope they win! Wanna heal them? I think there's an Inn somewhere in the next town or maybe someone is willing to lend you a bed? Bah. Well, this is the Roaring Twenties. You may be low now, but anything is possible.

Anything is possible.

NUVEMA TOWN

A fairly newer town, with less-then-desirable conditions. It's a migrant town, it being a very cheap place to live. It's a tad small and always has a light breeze going throw it, making it usually colder than most places. Great place to live in the summer. The environment itself is pretty good; the grass and trees are healthy, and flowers grow all around this place, which bloom pink in the spring and turn a beautiful yellow in the autumn. It's connected to the sea in the south, the town building a very haphazard dock over it and building shacks on top of that for the surplus population to live. Crummy houses aren't only found on the dock though- the only semi-decent places to visit are the Registry Building and the Ranch, both put there by the government to see if any of the new immigrants have any potential as trainers. Many see those buildings as their ticket out of this town, so a ton of people daily go in there to sign up.
And then a ton of them are sent back, being unfit to become official trainers.

That coming up, it's certainly noticeable that there's a big population here of mostly foreign people here; a lot of them trainers. Not Pokémon League Trainer® official ones, but casual ones who brought over their pets or caught Pokémon that crawled into the town. It's great place if you're looking to pick a battle with someone and train up your buddies.

There are no real retail outlets or Inns around anywhere…. But, there is generosity among the citizens of Nuvema. One might lend you their home to rest or items to trade. Just make sure you're dealing with someone with a true heart of gold and not someone pretending to have one to rip you blind.

Daily Catch:

But anyway, the creatures around here are small and bug-like, the stronger types of Pokémon preferring better territory. These little guys are here for anything they can scavenge. The winds also bring birds, here for the same purpose.

There's also the ranch where you can find any low-leveled Pokémon you can think of; but don't even think about battling them. The ranchers will be on your back faster than you can say "What's New, Pikachu?"

The beach has no Pokémon in it, them being scared away by the constant noise of people.

Places of Interest:

Registry Building – A blocky brick building where you are appointed with your Trainer Papers to become a Pokémon League Trainer®

Kirk Gray Ranch – A large ranch mostly nestled in the woods near Nuvema Town. It holds a plethora of Pokémon, and is the place of work for many talented Breeders. They do a lot of work with Eggs and Egg care. Worth a look, maybe? It's named after the original Unova Champion, you guessed it, Kirk Gray.

Retail:

Trading Trainers – Like bootleg merchandise for small prices? Then the down-on-their-luck immigrants are here for you!

YOU HAVE A PURCHASE COUNT OF (2) ITEMS.

Glitchy Pokéball – It's a regular Standard Pokéball, or it was. These have been a bit roughed up, and probably have a very low catch rate pinned on them.

Homemade Rubbing Alcohol – They sting and probably inflict more pain than they heal, but dang do they temporarily heal up minor wounds like there's no tomorrow! They're just the thing to stall your wounded companion's pain as you dash for the nearest Inn.

Dream Smokers – Funny little fireworks that pop and release smoke that causes you to sneeze when they're thrown on the ground hard enough. Probably of Sinnohese origin. Might be useful for distracting a wild Pokémon or Person.

Bed for the Night - Some nice immigrants will be more then happy to take whatever you can afford to allow you to use their home and rest up your Pokemon a bit. Be careful, though- if you trust the wrong sort, expect to have something of yours gone.

Moving On:

[North]

Route 1: The entrance into Route 1 is surrounded by taller trees than the usual ones you find in Nuvema Town. There's also the smell of flowers and…. Achoo! What? Year-Round Pollen? Coming from it. The vegetation seems extremely healthy. There's a single path going through it and it seems very easy to travel.

HERE ARE SOME MECHANICAL STUFF YOU SHOULD KNOW:

I don't do the "Oh, these specific Pokémon are here!" I give the description of what kinds of Pokemon are there, and you can use your imagination. Within reason, though.

E.g. "The Pokémon here are mostly creatures with a lot of fur and/or weight on them, to withstand the cold chill this place usually sees."

Good choices: Growlithe, Gulpin, Sentret, Cubchoo, etc.

Bad Choices: Magby, Tynamo, Jigglypuff, Pachirisu, etc.

PURCHASE COUNT is referring to total amount of items you can buy from a shop; this system is here so we don't have to use a pesky money system.

E.g. Items of sale: Standard Pokéballs, Healing Powders, Fresh Waters. Purchas Count (3)

I buy (2) Healing Powders and (1) Fresh Water. I cannot purchase more.

And furthermore, FEEL FREE TO GET AS CREATIVE AS YOU WANT! These are the outlines; feel free to stretch them a bit. I will alert you if you're being too far off the top.

: Odd Category :
Vim Rush Ability: The User vigorously shakes its body and begins to glow red. For a short time, the user's strength increases and they become feral; attacking any threat with ruthless enthusiasm. They won't listen to their trainers in this state, and afterwards, they become exhausted and more susceptible to damage.

Paw Punch: Odd Category; The user curls up their paw as much as they can and smacks the foe with fury. It doesn't do all that much, but golly is it adorable!
Sand Attack: Autumn Category; The user scuffs up the floor under them into the foe's direction, temporarily blinding them.

Witthoefft's Slakoth, Lv. 5
: Odd Category :
Dazed Ability: The user places themself in a special stupor where their HP and defenses are considerably higher than average for a while, but they become too blissful and incoherent to listen to commands properly.

Enigma Ball: Odd Category; The user creates a strange white ball of energy, which they throw at the foe. It does meager damage, but it stills looks cool. Great for spamming.
Yawn: Autumn Category; The user manipulates the psychology of their foe by using subtle psychic energy waves and yawning, making the foe believe they're tired as well. Although, takes a short while for the foe to finally drop unconscious.

Edmund's Growlithe, Lv. 5
: Autumn Category :
Furnace Ability: The user exerts all of its energy to making the immediate area unbearably hot. It's moves will pack a considerably lesser punch, but the foe will be fatigued and sluggish from the heat.

Ember: Autumn Category; The user shoots out a little flare of fire at the foe. It's just enough to leave a slight burn accompanied by a small amount of damage.
Moon Call: Winter Category; The user howls to the sky to call upon the moon's energy to heal them. This technique soothes their wounds only a small amount.

Rheanne's Skarmory, Lv. 5
: Spring Category :
Scarecrow Ability: The user roots itself into the ground and holds itself steady as it emits a high-frequency sound that throws off the inner-ear of Pokemon, making the user have the accuracy advantage for a short period of time when this is in effect. Afterwards however, the user will have to stop from fatigue and become confused.

Circus Cut: Spring Category; The user flails their limbs at the foe, creating scratches that do mediocre damage at best. But, they're lots of them!
Polish: Odd Category; The user uses their wings and roughs up the rest of their body as if to polish it. Doing this makes the user faster, yet, have less endurance.

Erroll's Dratini, Lv. 5
: Odd Category :
Sticky Skin: The user secretes a special cohesive shimmering fluid all over their body, and wraps around the foe. Microscopic harpoon-like stingers launch and sink into the skin of the foe; sucking their blood out. The user stays in this position and unable to move until the foe faints or is forced off via a powerful move..

Twister: Odd Category; The user summons ancient element-controlling power within them to create a very small, very inconsequential twister. This twister collects and hurls nearby debris at the foe.
Splash: Winter Category; The user slams their tail down. Although this doesn't really do much, it invigorates their spirit and attacks do a bit more damage.

SPECIES // Durant - the STYLISH MOFO Pokemon

ENTRY // Durant has been known to wear leather pants on its excursions to nightclubs; having the remarkable ability to sleuth out sexy individuals and convince them to take their clothes off and go dancing in the rain. Sadly, not much else is known about this elusive Pokemon other than the fact that they have a tendency to disappear with their trainer's mother for lengthy periods of time.

EVOLUTION // Durant does not evolve from or into anything, due to it not wanting to mutate its gorgeous face and supple physique.
