Jellicent's Black Entry:
"The fate of the ships and crew that wander into Jellicent's habitat: all sunken, all lost, all vanished."
Jellicent brings down ships, and drowns all those on board? Scary stuff, and part of the reason why I like Ghost-types so much. They usually have the most ominous and frightening Pokedex entries. Interesting to me.
Parasect: "A host-parasite pair in which the parasite mushroom has taken over the host bug. Prefers damp places" - It's a ♥♥♥♥ing zombie, guys.
Pokemon Emerald said:An abandoned plush doll became this Pokémon. They are said to live in garbage dumps and wander about in search of the children that threw them away.
Pokemon Black 2/White 2 said:These Pokémon are called the "Signpost for Wandering Spirits." Children holding them sometimes vanish.
Pokemon Pearl said:It tugs on the hands of children to steal them away. However, it gets pulled around instead.
The new pokemon Phantump seem to reinforce this idea:Yamask's entry makes me sad ;; And brings up the age old question - are ghost pokémon actual ghosts or just pokémon born with ghost-like qualities? Urr.
Parasect's entry reminds me of the "zombies" in The Last Of Us ._.
That one got me as a kid. Made me want to beat the holy crap out of Team Rocket too.Pokemon Stadium said:Always wears the skull of its deceased mother on its head and never shows its face. It cries mournfully in the moonlight.
Essentially, if the rumors are to be believed, Phantump are the souls of dead children.Pokemon Y Pokedex said:According to old tales, these Pokémon are stumps possessed by the spirits of children who died while lost in the forest.
White Pokedex said:It arrives near the moment of death and steals spirit from the body.
Black 2/White 2 Pokedex said:The spirits it absorbs fuel its baleful fire. It hangs around hospitals waiting for people to pass on.
Sadistic! It freezes prey by blowing its -58 degree F breath. It is said to then secretly display its prey.
Then they beat them up and eat them, I guess! If a traveler is going through a desert in the thick of night, Cacturne will follow in a ragtag group. The Pokémon are biding their time, waiting for the traveler to tire and become incapable of moving.
Although Gorebyss is the very picture of elegance and beauty while swimming, it is also cruel. When it spots prey, this Pokémon inserts its thin mouth into the prey's body and drains the prey of its body fluids.
