    Name: William (now prefers Will)
Fire Emblem: The Rift War [OOC] [M]

    Race: Human

    Age: 26

    Gender: Male

    Class: Soldier

    Appearance:
    Spoiler:

Will stands at about 6'1". He has shorty, messy, dirty blond hair, and a fairly rough complexion, including a scar going horizontally across the left side of his cheek. Yet his brown eyes are comforting and pleasant, reflecting his generally calm demeanor. He has slightly tanned skin from the long time he spends out in the sun, and a fairly toned body due to his rigorous training back as a knight of Aecilia.

Will generally dons nontraditional armor, something custom-designed and suited for the agile lifestyle of a mercenary. His basic outfit involves a simple set of trousers and a shirt, in this case a dirty-white pair of pants and a dark brown shirt. Over his shirt, he suits up his armor, which involves a bluish-green set across his shoulders, chest, hips and legs/boots. He also has a dark-green leg strap on his left upper-thigh, where he keeps a small, hunting knife.

    Inventory:

x1 Iron Lance: A simple, sturdy Iron Lance, Will's preferred weapon of choice.

x1 Hunting Knife: A small hunting knife Will keeps in his leg strap, mostly to cut small fruit, but can also be used as a last resort weapon should he be disarmed.

x2 Vulnerary: Small healing medicine for minor to semi-minor wounds.

Allegiance: Neutral, but being a former knight of Aecilia leans him toward that side.

Personality: Will is characterized by a cheerful, calm, and relatively polite disposition. Despite his status as a mercenary, he is thought to be quite honorable by his peers, taking contracts with those who are in more desperate need of assistance first, and those that pay well second. He would hardly ever take up contracts with people he believes to be corrupt, destructive, or morally heinous, even if they are offering a mountain of gold. His knight training and discipline has taught him the importance in honoring a contract that he has accepted, and fulfilling the wishes of the contractor to the best of his abilities.

Will is also a practical man. He understands when he can and cannot do a task, and never pushes or forces someone to do anything. He accepts the limits of his companions and friends, and works with them so that they may be utilized in the best way. He is also realistic in his expectations of himself and the contracts he would choose. He would never go into a situation where he knows he can't win, or accomplish the task. Nor would he throw away an opportunity for money when an easy situation presents itself. This occasionally has involved working with slightly compromised individuals, but he makes sure never to push the boundary too far. This is for two reasons. Besides satisfying his own moral standing to help those that truly need and deserve to be helped, he also seeks to maintain his mercenary group's reputation, which would give the opportunity for more work.

Will holds family and those he considers friends in high regard. He can become quite protective over them, and he purposely ensures, especially with Platina, to keep them out of harms way. He can also be found constantly joking around and acting jovial with them in their downtime, participating in games and all manner of silliness. However, he will also be willing to go the distance for them, whether it is to defend their honor or their life. This occasionally conflicts with his practical manner, which he would abandon should it come to a decision between those he cares about and his reputation or life.

When it comes to fighting, however, Will is all business. He ensures his group is a well-oiled machine, coming into bouts ready to go and with as little weaknesses and distractions as possible. As he would say, he only picks fights he knows he can win. He treats all opponents who challenge him to a fight with respect, and therefore out of that same respect, doesn't hold back when he fights, as he considers it an insult to them.

    History:

Will was born in a small town in the countryside of the Kingdom of Aecilia. His was a simple upbringing, his parents owning their small patch of land in the middle of the Kingdom. It was the three of them, his father doing mostly farmwork, while his mother took care of him. It was an unremarkable childhood, one which Will couldn't really complain about, being that it was all that he knew. When he was old enough, Will began to help his father out on the field. The days rolled on as they normally did. Will would occasionally meet up with a group of local boys and run around, but nothing exciting ever really happened around.

That is, until a group of Knights of Aecilia were rumored to be coming close to Will's village. The entire town was in an uproar, as knight never ventured so far from the capital to see simple folk like them. All sorts of rumors began to spread about the nature of their visit, with some believing they were after a fugitive. Others claimed that they were recruiting. Whatever the case, everyone was excited, including Will. For the first time, something was happening around his area, and he was curious to see what. The knights stopped by a few miles down the road in a nearby set of houses. Will and some other friends snuck toward them to try and figure out what they were doing here. All Will really wanted to do however was see them, just know what they looked like. He had never seen knights before.

When he did, his entire world changed. He was impressed, their nicer, modest clothing covered by the shining, thick metal, with the insignias and banners of the lords they serve on them. Will never did find out why they were in the area. Very few people actually did. But their visit changed Will's outlook on life. He decided that he too wanted to become a member of the knights when he was of age. His parents were hesitant about the idea, them saying that he was simply daydreaming, and that his head was up in the clouds. Will didn't care. It was what he wanted. They all seemed so cool.

His life changed drastically when a young appearing girl came into the picture. Found by herself clutching a strange rock and with no memory of who she was, Will's family decided to take in this girl as their own. Will found himself with a younger sister, whom they named Platina. Initially he was cold to her. However, it didn't take long for him to warm up, even begin to see her as his little sister. As he grew older, she stayed the same. He always felt compelled to look after her, even after learning she was...special. This became more apparent when bandits attacked a village very nearby their property. As they all stayed indoors and waited for the fighting to pass, Will stayed there, unable to do anything. When the knights pushed back the bandits out of the area, Will once more made up his mind to join the knights. His reasoning, however, was much different than it was before. Now, he wanted to join to protect the people he cared about: his father, his mother and his sister, and to protect others in the same situation. This time around, his parents didn't talk him out of it.

When Will came of age, he left for the capital, where he immediately began training for the knights. It took hard work and years of practice for him to work his way through the military and into the knights of Aecilia, but he soon found himself quite handy with a lance, perhaps a side effect of using pikes and rakes on the farm all those years. Although young, his steadfast dedication and talent began to make him earn a name for himself, even catching the attention of some of the veterans. He met with and worked alongside many high-ranking knights, and had the pleasure of meeting with members of the Royal Family on many occasions as well, including Princes Leon and Elwyn. He held both in high regard as worthy future successors to the kingdom.

As the years did pass, Will, or Sir William as he became known, was regarded a prominent knight, but he also noticed something else. Many of the knights' activities were for the benefit of the kingdom, but quite a few never ventured far out of the initial capital area. Will hardly found the time to venture to his home for quite a while, and he even had little time to write letters to his parents or to Platina, who he had not heard from in a while. Suddenly, Will realized the reason that he had only ever seen knights once out in the remote regions of the kingdom: many simply don't venture there. He began to petition around to increase knight activities further away from the capital, and into the more rural areas. He even approached the Crown Prince and Prince Leon on this issue at some point as well, believing his pleas did not fall on deaf ears.

Yet as much as other knights would have liked to and tried to help, it was simply impossible to maintain a presence throughout the entire kingdom at all times, especially the further one went out from the capital. He realized that the reason he had come in was to protect areas like these, and he simply couldn't do it from where he was. As much as he liked being apart of the knights, Will decided to resign, returning back to his home to help protect it. Upon arrival, he found that Platina had left a few years earlier in pursuit of her own talents. Eager to reunite with her, he decided to become a mercenary, offering his skills with a lance to anyone who would have need of them, while earning a living in the process. In this way, he helped people, and helped himself, while maintaining a more loose schedule to have a chance to also help his folks.

Will began to search for Platina. Along the way, he went on quite a few adventures and took up many contracts to support himself. He even ran into Elswin and Esmiel at one point, having gotten lost while searching for Platina, and then being ambushed by bandits. Outnumbered, he was helped by Elswin and Esmiel. He parts ways soon after, continuing his journey and soon finding Platina later traveling alongside another woman of similar traits as her, Nonami. The three decided to travel together as a mercenary band, being together ever since.

Appearance: Argath stands at 5'10 and weighs 115 lbs. He has medium blond hair that usually sits in a comb-over. He has a small build and has barely any muscle. His torso is just a bit shorter than his
legs, and is known as the tall one in his family. He has a pale skin tone and has hazel eyes. He has
a reletivly slim jaw that looks of a nobles. His cheekbones are barely visable, his nose is small,
    and has a defined chin.

He wears a cloth undershirt that reaches just past his shoulders. Above it he wears a reinforced
leather jacket with steel pads in the torso area. He wears blue dyed cloth trousers and iron boots,
which were passed down from his older brother. He often wears reinforced leather gloves and has a
    rucksack tied to his waist.

Inventory: Has a short iron lance tied to his belt, and in his rucksack has a pendant from his
missing sister, a journal from his older brother, a knife for back up and survival needs, a pickaxe
with half the shaft cut off for convience, and a ten foot loop of rope

    Allegiance: Aecilia

Personality: He is a very lonely person and isn't very good with talking to anybody except his
family. He is very single minded and dislikes distractions. He is hopeful for the future, and will do
anything to turn his dull life around. He has no friends and keeps to himself, sometimes going hours
    without talking to someone.

Even through his lonelyness, he hopes to become a great warrior, beit Knight or Cavalier. He knows
very little about the world , and is sometimes mocked for it. He still trains hard tries his hardest,
making him one of the best in his low class.

two brothers and a sister. His early childhood was very uneventful. He went to a school for the
offspring of knights. All they taught were ways of combat and defence techniques. Because of that,
the only things he knew about the outside world were from his eldest brother and his father.

At the age of thirteen, Argath was conscripted into the Vishra military. He didn't go into any real
battles, but was constantly trained for battle and war. His trials consisted of running long
distances, and fighting with the other soldiers. At fifteen, Argath became the best in his squadren,
much to the pleasure of his father.

At the age of Seventeen, his sister was kidnapped by Belial soldiers, Leaving his parents and his
oldest brother grief stricken, and Argath and his other brother angry. A week after she was kidnapped, Argath and his brother, Kenneth, left for Aecilia, given journals from their older brother, Danguard, and an item to remember the reason they left.

Support: Lets just say he doesn't know any of you.

    "Hunting for a Purpose"
    CHAPTER N
    PART N
    バガボンド
    (Bagabondo)

    Location:
    Vojun
Fire Emblem: The Rift War [OOC] [M] - Fire Emblem: The Rift War [OOC] [M] - Fire Emblem: The Rift War [OOC] [M]

    Equip: Bon's Heirloom Katana

Fire Emblem: The Rift War [OOC] [M]
    [▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮▮]

    Name: Bagabondo (Bah-gah-boh-n-doh)
    Nickname: Bon (Boh-n)
    Race: Human
    Age: 18
    Sex: Male

    Class: Myrmidon
Allegiance: (Which side do you fight for? You may begin neutral if that's what you want, but if so make sure you have the drive to keep yourself going without guidance for a while, and make your way towards one of the factions to join.)

Inventory: Bon's Heirloom Katana (A used but very sturdy blade passed down from his father onto him)

Appearance: Standing tall at six feet and three inches, Bon appears pale-skinned, and relatively thin. He is lean-muscled, showing surprising physical strength despite his more frail appearance, which is often something that catches others off-guard. His eyes are amber-gray and sharp, some would say piercing and possibly even intimidating. His eyebrows are thin, fingers long and bony, and nose small but long. His ears are slightly larger than average, and his hair is wavy and blond, clean but somewhat messy and bedhead-like in terms of style.

Bon wears a white collared shirt with a smooth black vest over it. He also wears thin and flexible black gloves which he is never seen without. He also wears long-legged but snug-around-the-waist shorts, ending at about the middle of his lower legs. His personal weapon's sheath hangs at his right side, while he also carries a small hunting dagger whose sheath is attached at the center of his back, connected to the top of his shorts. Lastly, he walks on a pair of dark-wooded geta sandals, short (rather than tall) and smooth, though clearly very worn. They leave surprisingly quiet footsteps for wooden footwear.

Personality: Bon isn't one to dance around sensitive subjects (or any topic for that matter), nor is he one to hold back saying something to protect someone's feelings. Honesty is valued to him, and he sees most unimportant discussion as a waste of time. This means he is direct, bold, blunt, but trustworthy to those few rare people he cares about. Otherwise, you're hit-or-miss in his book. Survival is always number one priority to Bon, and someone he has no respect, kinship or closeness with is no better alive or dead to him. Despite this harshness of nature, Bon does appreciate humor, and rarely (when he is grown close to someone) he will not mind much delving into some less-than-practical conversation.

One other important aspect to his personality is his desire for equality between all individuals. He deeply despises people with egotistical views, those who look down on others, or those who knowingly do wrong. He would gladly kill someone who falls under those immoral aspects, unless of course it puts him at risk of death. He also thoroughly enjoys the thrill of the hunt, though he feels sad when he must kill innocent creatures to survive; what he doesn't find some use for himself in his kill, he'll either give freely to someone with more of a need for it, or he'll sell for a profit, where he knows it'll still serve some purpose. Along with this joy of hunting, he also very much loves meat in any form.

Alongside his love of meat is his equal despisal of vegetables. To him, they are all too "hard, dry and tasteless". He also has issues with reading. He was taught the essentials as a child, and he despised it. To him reading takes too long to be important and it lacks entertainment value that exercise, sword practice and hunting all have. Whenever he's expected to read it's often a struggle and takes longer than what most people are used to. Bon can generally act pretty kind, so first impressions of him are often situational, because of the imbalance between his cold seriousness and his general kindness.

History: Bon spent his solitary life travelling in lightweight leather armor, making himself a living of hunting (both animals and some hits he finds from town to town), telling and hearing stories, and in general enjoying himself however possible. He simply traveled from place, earning some coin along the way, having his own adventure. He continues to try to better himself, avoiding getting into any conflict with the brooding and approaching war. Of course, he finds himself siding with Aecilia, no matter how hard he tries to remain neutral and not a part of it.

Other: This sign-up sheet is intentionally short, to preserve the secrets archived for later revelations! It's more fun that way!

  • No rush everybody, we've got some time before things really need to start. I... I'm going through some stuff of my own that's been distracting me from PC, and I'm sorry for that. Anywhoo Sir William is accepted.

Tyler, a few things stand out about your SU right away that kinda invalidate fairly large chunks of it I'm sorry to say. First and foremost, as you may have seen in Vishra's description, they are rather barbaric. Thanks to their crude customs, they would have big hulking heavily-armored people that could certainly be Fire Emblem's quintessential "knight" class, but they would be lacking both the sense of chivalry and the value of academics for any kind of knight school. Another thing to note is despite Belial's apparent cruelty they are usually very practical, they would never kidnap someone unless they were of great political importance. And Argath's family doesn't sound like they have anything that would give Belial a good reason to kidnap one of his relatives.

I'm sorry to say I can't cover anymore accepting or denying tonight, I had an interview yesterday and I've got a follow up tomorrow morning, so I only covered the two that were the easiest to decide on tonight. I'll take a much closer look and discuss everyone with Colony at length after I know what's up with the possibility of a job.

Yay, I'm in! Can't wait for this. It's gonna be a blast.

    Good luck with the interview.

Hopefully you guys don't get too far ahead while I'm gone. xD I'll be leaving around the 23rd until the 1st or so.

EDIT: Question, where'd you guys get those sprites for your characters?

  • @SV: For the most part, I get the sprites from FEPlanet, but I often edit them in various ways. I can't speak for Beacon though, as they provided their own sprite.

  • Alright, I've noticed some fairly big inconsistencies between some SUs and the image of Vojun Colony and I have tried to paint, no doubt some of these are due to oversights on my part, but nonetheless I would like to urge everyone working on SUs to read the descriptions of countries related to their characters in detail if not the whole post. I'm going to update the OP on some things I don't think I made clear enough, starting with the Laguz.

    Name: Elswin Briten
    Race: Branded
    Age: 19
    Gender: Male
    Class: Tactician
    Allegiance: Belial Empire

Appearance: If you were to take one look at Elswin, no one would expect him to be any different from other humans. His skin is a light brown, a trait not too uncommon in the many countries on the continent. For the most part, it seems to be free of most blemishes, although he always seems to have a scratch here and there. His hair is black in color, going as far as below his ears. His bangs manage to part somewhat on the left side his forehead, sort of acting as frame to show off his face. To top it all off, his amber eyes work well to bring his face together. Size-wise, he stands at an average of 6', only weighing around 176 lbs. He seems to sport a toned build thanks to toting his longsword and tome around. The one thing that sets him apart from others is the large twist of lines running down his spine, acting as the mark of those known as Branded, a detail Elswin constantly attempts to hide.

Growing up, Elswin was never one for fashion or clothes, only preferring to wear what was needed to get the job done. To say the least, his status in the tribe didn't help at all. However, after moving to the larger capital of the Belial Empire, things changed. He now wears a customized light set of armor focused on quick movements and the like. Mostly, white and black, the outfit consists of a thin black cuirass as well as pairs of gauntlets and boots to match. The biggest thing many people identify him by however, is his white and black overcoat that ends just above his knees.

Personality: At first glance, many would believe Elswin to be like any other soldier, stoic, quiet, and waiting for his orders. There's a reason this is only at first glance. Once you get to know him, you will find that he seems to be mature beyond his years, having had to suffer with the persecution of his race all his life. However, none of that stops him from having a typical playful and joking nature. To him, life just isn't worth living if you can't smile about something and thus will sometimes try and find the positive side to things, not that it's always possible.

Elswin is, to say the least, only "slightly" stubborn. After years of the persecution he was forced to endure, he has stubbornly attempted to earn his own place and make a name for himself. By doing this, he hopes to prove that no matter the circumstances of one's birth (his in particular) do not define who you will be. As such, Elswin is constantly working to prove people wrong. While many would try and do this with an "ends justify the means" attitude, a strong moral compass tends to force him to do only what is right. He will not harm the innocent, kill an unarmed enemy, or any of that ilk. To him, those dirty jobs should only ever be performed by someone who has no value in who they are.

Of course, due to his tribe's oppression of Branded, Elswin has nurtured somewhat of a dislike for many of its inhabitants. He also can't take insults well, and will often use some back, if not prove the person's words wrong.

Despite his stubborn nature, Elswin is still practical and thoughtful. In many cases, he will stop to think about what to do next, whether it be on a mission, a free day, or even in an everyday conversation. He is often genuinely nice and if one were to ask him for help, he'd be there in a heartbeat. He loves the chance to make new friends (something that didn't happen in the tribe) and will tend to protect them with his life. He is highly devoted to them, his country, and more often than not, his tribe.

History: The Wyur village is known as one of the largest and most powerful villages of tiger Laguz in all of Fyrsang. However, no village could be perfect. Within the village, one woman had broken the code and in several months, gave birth to a Branded child. The pair were almost immediately persecuted by many members of the Wyur. Having nowhere else to go, the Head Monarchs gave mercy to the mother and child, allowing them to live with the village but also forcing them to the lowest class. Elswin's mother, who had lost her shapeshifting powers due to his birth, was distraught. While spared from death, the two were ultimately left without nothing but the constant threats and menial chores that they were forced to endure. Nonetheless, his mother kept working to the best of her ability, something that left a mark on her son.

Even in his early years, Elswin tried to earn his place within the village, albeit with much less help than many others would have been given. Being a Branded, he became use to much more discrimination than even his mother, despite the fact that he himself had done nothing wrong. He was given far more degrading jobs that seemed to only make his rough childhood seem complete. Yet, no matter what was thrown at the child, he managed to make it through. He would always tried to put himself above the scrutiny and challenges of being a Branded, and although these feats weren't always possible, Elswin kept going in an attempt to halt any hostility towards him. This often gave him very unwanted attention, forcing him to take on bullies and the like. On the other hand, this also brought the attention of the village's more prestigious inhabitants.

Esmiel, the daughter of the Head Monarchs, was one of the few people within the Wyur who felt no ill towards Branded. With time, the two formed a friendship that transcended the confines of their separate classes, much to the dismay of the girl's parents. The girl, despite being forbade from seeing him, continued their friendship that lasted until it was decided that Elswin left Fyrsang for the capital of Belial in order to join the country's army at the age of 16.

It was here that Elswin's worth was truly tested. In the capital, a place where the fact that he was a Branded was easily kept a secret, Elswin was like any other new recruit or at least he was at first. In a matter of months, the boy showed great skill in the use of swords as well as magic, something that was obviously relished in the Belial Empire. His skill, mostly attributing to his race, showed promise in both aspects of combat. In an army where battle mages were often far higher in rank than mere soldiers, Elswin seemed to quickly find himself above many.

Elswin returned to his village of birth several times over the next few years, making sure both his mother and the princess were both alright. Even though he had been away for so long, the two's friendship soon became much more, developing more in a romantic way. Of course, his coming and going often made the relationship bumpy at times. However, the two seemed to continue seeing each other, whether it be just as friends or more.

Currently, with the news of an impending war between Aecilia and Belial, Elswin is attempting to hone his skills. He hopes that by fighting on the battlefield, he can finally prove his worth to those who never believed in him. If (or when) the war comes, Elswin knows he will be ready.

    Inventory:

Wind Tome - a blade of wind will manifest in the air and there after hone in upon the selected enemy target.

Iron Sword - A custom-made sword forged from ordinary materials. It seems to fit Elswin as an extension of his own arm.

Fighting style: When given time, Elswin is a thoughtful fighter, easily able to formulate a plan in the most tactical way possible. However, when time is not on this swordsman's side, he is still deadly. His style is all about quick, rhythmic movements and steps. As graceful and powerful as the wind, his smooth and deadly attacks will leave little time to evade, and even less time to forget who was behind it.

On the other hand, Elswin is also moderately skilled in the use of Wind, an Anima magic. This is especially useful for enemies that he cannot reach.

    Support:

A/S - Esmiel - Elswin's first friend and occasional romantic interest. Their relationship is often bumpy to say the least. She is probably the most important person in his life, no matter where their relationship is at the time.

C - Felix - Once met in a training exercise focused on leading units. The two were both leading opposite units and have since come to respect each other.

D - Nonami - Met along with Esmiel. Nonami never gave him much thought due to his race and class. She considers him trash and because of this, Elswin has a slight dislike for her. She is one of those he wishes to prove wrong.

D - William - Met during one of his stays at the Wyur village. Along with Esmiel, Elswin helped him out of a bind with several bandits.

    Name: Esmiel Synir
    Race: Laguz
    Age: 17
    Gender: Female
    Tribe: Tiger
    Allegiance: Belial Empire

Appearance: Hair more unkempt than Esmiel's would be hard to find in the all the lands of Belial. It's mostly a black, curly mess that flows over her shoulders like a rushing waterfall. Jokingly Esmiel refers to it as her mane. Her mother disapproves of such a style yet Esmiel does not feel the need to conform. If the need should arise Esmiel has no problem quickly trying to collect her hair into a sloppy bun. Where she makes up for this in her mother's eyes is the lavish clothes Esmiel sports. Dresses, gowns, and all clothing that show off her femininity are welcomed as long as they are regal in nature. Necklaces, bracelets, and bangles usually clutter her arms and neck, most of the time she can't decide which ones to wear so she does them all. Underneath her dress Esmiel wears battle-ready clothes like most females in her village do. Such as a shirt and pants that aren't too restricting. All of her clothing tends to cover up her naturally tan skin with golden undertones and muscular structure, which she has developed from her training, a fact that Esmiel doesn't mind. Some might call her tall, Esmiel prefers the term average, but she does happen to be taller than most of the people she comes across. Her brown eyes seem to greet, as well as relax, those who look upon them.

In her beast form is where Esmiel is truly stunning, her short coat is a soft peach color that shows her muscles rippling each time she takes a step. A line of darker hair, almost a muddy peach tone, sprouts straight up from the end of her head to the middle of her spine. Intricate markings are designed into Esmiel's coat, in the facial and torso regions, some even extend to her legs but stop short of her paws. A long body, short neck, and portly legs that end deadly claws are what makes her a formidable fighter. Not to mention the rows of finely sharpen teeth, her two maxillary canines extend from her muzzle even when closed yearning to pierce the flesh of her foes. A lengthy tail ending in a tuft of darker hair swooshes behind her signaling her readiness to pounce. Most are surprised by her sheer size and often makes foes think twice before tangling with her. Fear has a way of creeping inside those that dare gaze into her eyes, which have shifted from their calming brown into an enraged, blood red.

Personality: Upon first meeting with Esmiel no one would suspect the angry beast that she can become when severely provoked or when fighting. Being one to quicken to anger hasn't ever been something she's done as it often takes a lot to even get her to show that emotion or, rather, any heighten emotion. It isn't as if she's somehow incapable of showing emotions, over the years she has become quite skilled in being guarded in order to not betray what she has on her mind. For Esmiel it is a form of protection against those that wish to gain her trust and/or loyalty for their own agendas. With those that she does trust Esmiel is willing to open up in their company and show that's she's not a brick wall. If someone, however, loses Esmiel's trust they will not get it back any time soon as it took some time to gain it in the first place. Trust issues have always been something that Esmiel has dealt with, especially since she is currently the sole heir to the her village's throne.

Often times when Esmiel finds herself actually attached to another person who she can truly be open and honest with she won't want to let go of them. She becomes fiercely protective of them and will try to shield them from the dangers of the world. She'll put their life above hers in all aspects and do her best to try to bring peace and happiness to them. Very little means more to Esmiel than a true connection with another person. Her loyalty to them will only end when the relationship has faltered but even then she still can't help but to look out for them. Words rarely leave Esmiel's lips unless they are of some importance or little remarks that happen to slip off the tongue. Being social isn't an aversion for Esmiel, no, she just prefers to listen and observe. That, and she's never been very good at holding up her end of the conversation. People are quite fascinating to Esmiel like the ones that are considered outcasts and those that aren't high in the village's hierarchy. A soft spot has developed for those type of people despite what those around her tell her.

Esmiel is very humble, she won't brag about her winnings or attempt to say that she is better than anyone else. Those that struggle with things that come easily to her she'll always try to help so that they will not get discouraged about their abilities. Wholeheartedly she has the belief that anyone and everyone has great potential and that no one shouldn't try to dampen it by cheering about their winnings. Though that doesn't mean Esmiel doesn't like to bask in her own victories in private moments or in thought. Even with all of her winnings and prowess in battle Esmiel still isn't sure of her place in the village or the world. She is unsure if this is the life that she wants, all the fighting and the pressure, sometimes Esmiel would just love to retreat to some far corner of the world then to face it all. Speaking these thoughts out loud would get her in trouble and so she continues on, putting off sorting her conflicted emotions.

History: Born to the Head Monarchs of the Wyur village, one of the most powerful tiger Laguz villages in Fyrsang, and being an only child has led Esmiel to live a very privileged life. Her parents have always been respected since they usurped the previous owners in power. It wasn't an easy task but they managed to make it look as such. Once they had done so they settled down and had Esmiel. Those that sought their vengeance tried to murder the matriarch while she was pregnant with her second child. In the attack the child was lost but Esmiel's mother's life was saved by her most trusted guards. Unlike how most parents would've responded by keeping their child completely sheltered Esmiel's parents did almost the complete opposite. They wanted the village to know despite the recent attacks their first-born was still very much alive and that they would not be intimidated.

In her early years life for Esmiel was simple, the only thing she had to worry about was her disposition and appearance, both of which she was thoroughly mentored about. Her parents rarely denied her anything becaues they were always trying to do their best to make her happy, something Esmiel has always appreciated. She was taught to master her transformation skills at a young age that way if any one else was to attack her she would be able to defend herself. All the way up until her fourteen birthday and a bit more she trained day and night. Trainings were a great place for Esmiel to really shone and also where she developed her reputation. Being the daughter of such prestige put her under a lot of scrutiny over the years. Her actions have been monitored her entire life, not just by her parents but the entire village. That's why her interaction with Branded individuals was highly looked down upon, though that never stopped Esmiel from interacting with them. Like most Laguz tribes Branded were looked down at and treated like scum, but Esmiel never liked the idea of treating someone like that for something they couldn't help.

One Branded in particular Esmiel befriended, named Elswin. She was intrigued by the way he kept going despite all that was against him. Her parents were not happy with this friendship knowing full well that this Branded boy should not be anywhere near their noble daughter. Instead of listening to her parents demands Esmiel kept seeing the boy and they grew closer until he had to leave in order to begin his training as a soldier of the Belial Army. The boy returned for a short while and the duo quickly rekindled their friendship which had developed more on the romantic side. Elswin's frequent back and forth traveling caused their budding relationship to become quite rocky. At the age of seventeen her parents have become more adamant in finding her a mate that matches her in rank and nobility. In exchange for them slightly overlooking her need to interact with the Branded and coming up with valid excuses for it, Esmial has agreed to dates with potential suitors.

As for the war efforts her village has remained neutral. She has always been fearful that her parents won't return if war does happen but Esmiel recognizes that they have a duty to their village and to die in battle is considered one of the highest of honors. Eager to contribute to her village's worth Esmiel accepted that she too must fight to make her family and village proud. Elswin was the answer that, as he was a member of the Belial Army. With a note left to her parents about her intentions Esmiel slipped out of the village, a task made easier by her having done it several times before. From there she took off to find Elswin in the country of Belial.

Fighting style: If there was one simple word to describe Esmiel's fighting style it would be aggressive or dominating or unforgiving. Esmiel fights like she has nothing to lose, but she does. She doesn't care how injured she gets as long as there's a victory at the end of it. Nothing means more to her than a win and she'll use whatever tactics necessary to get there. The Esmiel that people have come to know is no longer, the feral beast within has taken control and unleashes its fury in quick succession.

    Inventory:

    Rope [x1]

    Stone [x1]

    Support:

A/S - Elswin - Some days it seems as if they are more friends than anything else, but Elswin was and is the only person Esmiel trusts besides her parents. Their relationship has evolved from friends to romantic and vice versa, it remains a constant up and down cycle, its certainly isn't leaning in one direction or the other.

D - Nonami - They've met once or twice and have had short conversations, other than that they have no further relation.

D - William - A mercenary that Esmiel helped out get out of trouble when he encountered a group of troublesome bandits that wanted to do nothing more than to harm him. Along with Elswin Esmiel was able to assist William and get him on his way almost unscathed.

Boom! Gah, i will never give up on this (well, maybe but not yet)

    Name: Cadet Argath Vennon
    Race: Human
    Age:17
    Gender: male
    Class: Recruit

Appearance: Argath stands at 5'10 and weighs 115 lbs. He has medium blond hair that usually sits in a combover. He has a small build and has barely any muscle. His torso is just a bit shorter than his legs, and is known as the tall one in his family. He has a pale skin tone and has hazel eyes. He has a reletivly slim jaw that looks of a nobles. His cheekbones are barely visable, his nose is small, and has a defined chin.

He wears a cloth undershirt that reaches just past his shoulders. Above it he wears a reinforced leather jacket with steel pads in the torso area. He wears blue dyed cloth trousers and iron boots, which were passed down from his older brother. He often wears reinforced leather gloves and has a rucksack tied to his waist.

Inventory: Has a short iron lance tied to his belt, a journal from his older brother, a knife for back up and survival needs, a pickaxe with half the shaft cut off for convience, and a ten foot loop of rope

    Allegiance: Aecilia

Personality: He is a very lonely person and isn't very good with talking to anybody except his family. He is very single minded and dislikes distractions. He is hopeful for the future, and will do anything to turn his dull life around. He has no friends and keeps to himself, sometimes going hours without talking to someone.

Even through his lonelyness, he hopes to become a great warrior, beit Knight or Cavalier. He knows very little about the world, and is sometimes mocked for it. He still trains hard tries his hardest, making him one of the best in his low class. Since the death of his father, Argath had been excessively angry. Sometimes when he is alone, he has a tantrum, wondering why HIS father had to die before Argath was even in his teens. That feeling has kept Argath fueled and pushed him through his ttraining.

History: Argath was borne into a family of once great knights. His father was a knight close to the king, until he was assassinated. But while he was in the kings service, the name Hays Vennon was not spoken without awe. He was a grand warrior who managed to gain the respect of even the king himself, being a kind hearted individual, even the common villager liked him. His death was not taken lightly, and many were grief stricken and enraged.

His eldest brother was also once a great knight until he sold out his friends to save his own skin, branding him a rat, and causing him to be discharged. As for his second older brother, he left to fight for the Belial kingdom, causing himself to be rid of the Vennon name.
[Just a side note, his name is now Kenneth Fauvre]

Argath now lives with his mother and eldest brother in the low part of Aecilia, hardly scraping along. Argath could not get a proper education in the first decade of his life. For money, his mother house kept those who would pay for it, and his brother worked as a farm-hand, causing Argath to hardly see his remaining family.

At the age of fifteen, while his mother and brother were at work, Argath enrolled himself into a knights academy, but sadly for his low rank, he was put into the less potent classes, which had less time, and less hands on training. However, at sixteen, Argath proved himself as a good student, and was brought up to the top class by an unknown noble, and was able to put more time into training, battle forms, and some first aid.

Right now, he is seventeen, and at the end of his training, soon to be enforced to the Aecilian military as a recruit. However, will he prosper and bring honor back to his family, or will his happiness as a soldier be short lived and crash to the ground?

  • Sorry for the hang up with progress. Only thing from here on is the history. And that's the problem. He's lived on a farm for the vast majority of his life, meaning he only joined up with Aecilia recently. What should I do to make it longer?

P.S. My appearance URL is trolling me.

    Totally got the image working!

    Name: Gerard Kellic
    Race: Human, of course!
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
    Class: Villager

    Appearance:
    Spoiler:

    WORK! (https://www.creativeuncut.com/int/i...creativeuncut.com/gallery-13/wkc-leonard.html)

Gerard is rather scrappy. He stands around 5'10, and is rather skinny, but he is impressively strong from years of working the farm. He has tanned skin as a product of years of work in the fields. His eyes are a chocolaty brown, and many a maiden have come to think that Gerard's stare is actually a form of magic designed to put them in a trance. Gerard has long brown hair that he keeps in a ponytail so it can be kept out of the way.

Gerard's typical outfit consists of a long-sleeved white shirt, a brown fur jacket that he created himself, and black trousers, which disappear into his knee-height boots. He keeps his pants and shirts close to him with a blue rope that he uses as a belt. In terms of armor, Gerard is practically naked. He has light iron greaves on his thighs, and his boots are made of a tougher leather than most, but that's pretty much it.

    Inventory:
Iron Sword of Destiny!: A typical iron sword that Gerard bought using every last ounce of gold he saved in the last month or so.

The Lucky Charm!: Gerard keeps a lucky charm with him. It's a simple piece of rope adorned with inexpensive jewels and the tooth of a bear. He wears it as a good luck charm, but nobody is quite sure if it is truly lucky. Gerard likes to think so.

    Allegiance: Aecilia

    Personality:
Gerard, if anything, is a dreamer. His mother raised him on stories of knightly valor and glory, leading him to have an insatiable hunger for it. If there is anything that this hometown-hero wants to be, it's a hero. He looks up to pretty much any band of warriors that passes through his town, almost blindly. He is easily impressionable, and is likely to take up the tendencies of others. Gerard thinks that as long as you are willing to fight for a cause that he views as important, that makes you a 'good guy.' If you stand against his wish, however, you are considered a villain in his eyes. He is willing to do anything to rise to glory and make his mother proud. He wants to come back to his town as a hero after the war is finished. He has pictures of his mother and father cheering for him, along with the rest of the town's meager population.

Despite his high-flying ambitions, Gerard has literally no formal education. His math skills are rudimentary, meaning he can barely count money as is, and he can't read or write, leaving him at a disadvantage with the rest of the world. He is, however, highly adaptable and a fast learner, so if one made an attempt to teach his something they would meet with great success. He has no view of politics, viewing them as 'Dinner for the pigs.' He prefers his simple lifestyle of farming to a life filled with luxury. It would make him feel uncomfortable to feel overly comfortable. His normal speech can be filled with old-timey sayings that he's heard his parents say over the years, or proverbs that originated in his town. He has little, to no, philosophical views other than his views of 'right and wrong,' although he will occasionally say something that is strangely profound for its simplicity.

Gerard is as friendly as anyone can get. He warms up to people rather quickly. He's easy to talk to, and is embarrassed by nothing. Everything is out in the open with him. Everything. His simple lifestyle has lead to a lack of filter, seeing as he talked to the pigs and cows more often than human beings. Gerard has a love of getting dirty and growing things, remnants of his life on the farm. He is eager to learn of society and it's rules, although he knows they will most likely disagree with his farming lifestyle.

History: (At Least 3 paragraphs, but unless your character is filling a specific role or some history about their parents is relevant don't bother making it too long either, by the beginning of the story none of these characters have done too much.)

  • Alright folks, I'm back again to bring you all more love. Chuckles I'm sorry to see you go, but good luck with your friend and with whatever else you try to do! ^_^

First things first, we've waited long enough. Aster and Ana are formally Accepted that means there will be no more Lord characters unless something happens to Kenneth or Beacon.

Next, Elswin and Esmiel are both looking excellent and are thus-omundously Accepted. My only small stipulation is for Elswin. Watchman as you've seen already I'm fine with people naming their weapons, but all weapons need to be functionally basic iron weapons of their type (for melee weapons that is). For one thing, using an actual Longsword one-handed would be very difficult, so above and beyond any other reasons I'm not comfortable with someone who's not a fully dedicated melee class doing so. No weapons would be especially customized besides perhaps one or two ascetic differences. Ignore the fact that I put so many words into that because you only need to do one thing: Change it from a 'custom longsword' to an otherwise plain iron sword, you may give it a name and a few things that stand out about it's appearance as long as they wouldn't affect how it functions and it'll all be gewd.

Challenger I only have two things to note on Gerard, and neither of them is a big deal. First is there's no reason to have a fighting style section for him, as those were intended and labeled as specifically for lords. Second is that there's no way he would have a D support with anyone, D implies they've at least met before, if two characters have never met they would have no support at all. So you can either leave it blank or think up/ask people about any ways he might have been acquainted with other characters before.

Tyler1616 your SU is mostly ready but I must admit a few things pulled at me a bit. You could stand to have a bit more for his personality, frankly those don't stand out as full paragraphs to me and it makes it look a little bare. Next the history also leaves out some things that would seem like relevant details. At the very least I feel a knight who was supposedly close to the king at least deserves a name, so perhaps you could give us one for Argath's father?

Dusk you and I are still discussing the final details and such so I suppose there's not much for me to say here, just don't want you to think I forgot about'cha! :D

    Kiklion Nonami is excitedly Reserved!

ze OP shall now be adjusted accordingly, if anyone notices I missed something please by all means tell me.

  • Having a short history is fine Challenger, if you look at the SU skeleton I actually mentioned nobody should bother making their history too long anyways. These characters shouldn't have done too much of note by the time the story starts, they're all more or less noobcakes.

And Tyler, as I said not much more is necessary really, histories don't need to be long. Just maybe a name for his father and a bit more about his father.

    Age: unknown but looks 15
    Gender: Female
    Class: Manakete
Appearance: Body: Platina is short standing at 5' 1 ½" and her body isnot too thin or overweight, but rather the right weight and shape in between. Her skin is light enough to be sunburnt easily, but not to the point ofunnatural paleness. Her hair is a beautiful silver and reaches past her waistwhen it is down. Her eyes are blue like ice, and like all manaketes she haspointed ears.

Clothing: For clothing she wears ablack dress with blue borders that also shows her upper back. The sleeves areblack for only the shoulders, and with gold borders they become transparent, the material light and billowy. The front is halter style managing to connectto the sleeves. The skirt of the dress is a black tinted blue with pointed endsand white borders. For shoes she wears knee high boots the same color as theskirt of the dress with a white ice design at the top, and short heels on thebottom, the laces being white as well. Her hair is generally worn with braidson top connecting to loose free flowing hair, and a small amount of her bangsin a smaller thinner braid as well. She has what seems to be a gold necklacewith a light blue stone in it. This stone is actually her dragonstone.

    Inventory: Icestone
    Allegiance: Neutral
    Personality:

With Will: When alone with Will sheis cheerful and social. She has no issues talking to him. She will tease himand joke with him. She loves to drag him into different activities and try newthings. When with him she is never shy or afraid of anything, but rather seemsbraver than she actually is. Overall she treats him like an older brother, eventrying to get him to spoil her sometimes.

Nonami: She revers Nonami, and looksup to her. She loves learning from her and sees her as a big sister. She alsowill look to her for protection when feeling threatened, but like with Will, she is willing to give her life for her.

With other people: She is quiet andreserved. She often stutters and has trouble saying what she wants to say. Sheif fearful of those she doesn't know and rarely trusts them, though she stillwon't speak up often. Despite not trusting others, she will follow them untilshe knows if she can trust them, or until she knows a way to get away withouttoo much trouble. When Will is with her she will latch onto him like a youngchild and generally let him do the speaking,

Other Manaketes: She is veryrespectful of other Manatees, and talks to them with respect. She loves tolearn about them and especially from them. Her respect reaches levels ofreverence with the older more knowledgeable manaketes.

Brave Moments: She is most bravewhen she feels strongly about something. She will fight for what she believesin and will refuse to back down. If someone were to insult someone she caresabout or try to hurt them then she will defend them to the best of her ability.

Other: She is observant of hersurroundings and takes in everything she hears. She often thinks about thesituation thoroughly so as to be prepared for whatever may come at her. She hasa large fear of humans due to an attempted kidnapping on her life. When a humanapproaches her and she feels threatened, she will hide by Nonami or Will, andif neither are around, she will attempt to run.

History: Platina has no memory of her childhood, or who she is. Herfirst memory is waking up and seeing Will, his family taking her in, feedingher, clothing her, giving her a name. The only clue she had as to who she was,was the stone that she held when found. At first she was shy of Will and hisfamily, frightened of them, and others. She rarely spoke, and was very quiet. Itdidn't help her that he was cold to her at first. However as time went on shestarted opening up, becoming more brave and outspoken in the house. Slowly shestarted to feel like she belonged, like they were they family. She begantreating Will as a big brother, and even acting like a slightly spoiled youngersister.

Of course all good things came to anend temporarily. Will left to become a knight, leaving Platina on her own inthe world without the person she trusted the most. It was during this time thatshe met Nonami. Nonami was the first other manakete she ever met, due toamnesia she had no recollection of her life before Will and his family. Becauseshe did not truly understand what she was, she did not understand the reasonmen were trying to kidnap her. It was from these men that Nonami saved her andtold her what she was. From there she began training with Nonami, even goingthrough the dragon's gate.

After a few years of training,Platina was stronger, and she and Nonami had become closer. Not knowing manyother manakete the two decided to stick together, feeling it was safer thisway. After some more time they ran into Will. Platina was of course ecstatic tosee him again. Nonami of course didn't trust him, but Platina convinced her tocome with them, and thus the three formed a mercenary group, albeit a strangeone.
