Ayryx is a wandering monk who also has skill with the blade, unlike other monks. He desires to become a powerful and influential bishop someday and desires to use his superior magic and blade skill to end the frequent warring in elibe, which has been going on as long as he can remember. He is young but wise and prefers to negotiate rather than shed blood. By chance, he wanders upon a battlefield, and decides to wait for someone to approach him before he takes sides, if he even decides to.

Ayryx: Warring? ...Here? [shakes head in dismay] This is truly a grave situation , but I musn't engage anyone. I must observe from a distance, and, if necessary, I will attack. Still, I would not rush headlong into a scuffle without first knowing who my opponents are. In the meantime, I'll go over my Lightning script, just incase.
