I have to quickly edit the Writing Sample to compensate, but that's minor and I figured I would leave this for you to review for now, lol.

EDIT: Writing Sample edited now, too. That part was rather easy, lol.

Urgh, don't mention Monochromatic Stains. I was pretty upset that my real life took over and I had to drop out from it.

I hope I can be back more permanently now.

I'm now also armed with a Note 2 and an iPad so I'll likely be able to post more often and when I'm outside also now.

I just decided on an Atlantean power, Molecular Acceleration.

Able to freeze or heat molecular compounds (basically every single thing). Controlled, in part, by emotions from fear (freezing) to anger (heat). Powers can range from temporary delibitation to permanent freezing all the way to increasing temperatures beyond human tolerance or causing an object to explode, all depending on the intensity of the emotions.

I'm going to let my character have some problems controlling her powers early on and actually fear her powers and what it can do, making her control over it even worse.

It's actually ripped off of a show.

How is the power? Is it too overpowered?

The only problem is that Raikiri already has Ice Manipulation which is essentially the acceleration of water particles into a solid form. But otherwise, you could oppose him with heat or fire manipulation?

Uhh, the freezing is more of making the person/thing/molecules unable to move at their current state, as though they were at absolute zero. There's nothing in it about changing the physical states of any substances.

Look at Charmed, Piper's powers. The power I'm looking at is ripped from her but slightly altered.

Still, your power can do what Raikiri's power can do, but more. So a bit OP, I'd say that it is. Having heat/fire manipulation would sound more fair :3

His power is "like" Raikiri but doesn't deal with ice/water at all. It's basically stopping time for an specific individual/object/place. Like you can "freeze" a person (literally make them stop in there place, "frozen" in place) by slowing down all their molecules. Again, they aren't actually frozen like a block of ice they've just been stopped in place.

I think that you should just do the combustion side of it. After all in Charmed that was the best part of Piper's powers!

True, I'll just go with Molecular Acceleration (only the accelerating particles and combustion part).

Just letting you know that I am away for the weekend at an inter-university-national-game-thing, terminology for the win. Anyway, yeah not sure if the place we are staying at has wifi or not, but if not, I won't be able to post till Monday.
So anyone who wants to the move Charlotte along, go for it. My whole idea with her new injury is that she doesn't know the limits of her powers yet, as she can't figure that out by sitting in her room, so she's learning the hard way. :P
so have her collapse or something, though I didn't plan on killing her off :)
