  • I'm not 100% sure, but I feel like this would be much better off in General Entertainment, since characters usually come from media or books and such. So, moving this over there.

  • I would have to say I'm in awe of Somniac, she's super chill ya'know?

Delusions aside, Lelouch from code geass is one of the first to come to mind, or Kenpachi from Bleach [SOB's overpowered in the manga.]

    - Roy Mustang from Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.
    - Itachi Uchiha from Naruto.
    - Lelouch from Code Geass.

All epic and complex characters that the writers really managed to flesh out.

  • Al Swearengen from Deadwood. I like Deadwood a lot, but I wouldn't really think of it as one of my all-time favourite shows. But in its main character - played gloriously by Ian McShane - it has everything you'd want in a fictional character. Witty, hilarious, profane, volatile, angry, (sometimes) tender, imposing, authoritative... everything, really.

Harry Dresden from the Dresden Files book series. After so many books with him he becomes so much more than a character in a book.

I would have chosen Alucard from Hellsing but next to Harry he seems a bit cartoonish (Not because he is an anime character but because he is just too much awesome to the point of being a joke).

  • Without a doubt, Gregory House. To quote his boss, Lisa Cuddy, he is 'an egomaniacal, narcissistic pain in the ass.' But you have to respect his ability to diagnose a room full of patients in a minute on his way out the door.

  • @taja: IzayoI.
    Let's not change い with う ;)

For me, beside Lelou, Minato Arisato (Persona 3 MC).
The scene where he nonchalantly walks beside huge amount of coffins is unforgettable :D

  • I really like Edward Elric (The main character) from Fullmetal Alchemist/ Brotherhood. AND YES. GENERAL ROY MUSTANG IS AWESOME, but I've honestly always had a liking in goofy characters. He also is somewhat relatable (I don't know.... I have a strange taste in about everything.)

  • Lelouch from Code Geass and Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist. Good thing my favorites were already mentioned here. <3 They're both epic characters and I loved watching their stories. Don't harm their little sister / brother and ESPECIALLY don't call Edward a pipsqueak. :D

  • Most awesome anime character for me? I'd say Izaya Orihara from Durarara!! the fact that he works in the background, giving everyone information and instructions so he can start a war to awaken Celty's head. I also like Roy Mustang from Full metal alchemist, since he's can conjure up fire with his alchemy and the fact we have the same first name.
