1st Gen Why do speedrunners save and immediately reset there games?

    I've notice that speedrunners will often save and reset in some locations like Route 22 for the Nidoran and stuff like that. Why?
     
    It's RNG manipulation, basically. They save and reset so that they get Nidoran. Nidoking is great in Speedrunning, if i recall correctly.
