New Gold/Silver Remakes!

I'd rather have you work on it, even if it's going to go slow, because if you give it to another person it might not be as good as it could have been if you did it yourself, slow or not.

And it's good to see that you haven't forgotten about your game :)
 
Yes I agree with avatar.. You have done quite well to get this far so don't give up now... I really liked you demo and I thinkt hat the next one will be like the original pokemon games :)

I agree with Avatar, too. Yamichi, it'd be better to do it yourself than letting others do it for you, otherwise it won't be as good. And I'm glad you updated. I was wondering when you would...

You know what would be kool? If you uploaded it for everyone to edit.. Then we had a competition to see who could finish it off the best and yamichi could judge.
Meh it's just an idea anyway

Oh, that reminds me! We should have a game making competition sooner or later :)

I can have a few mods judge and anyone can submit their game (which would be based on certain criterea) and the winner would get... something (hehe).

And/Or there can be a "Moderator's Choice Award" monthly! Sound good?

Hey guys! Since half term's coming up, I think I'll actually continue on this game and hopefully get quite a bit done! n_n And besides, playing on FRLG for past 3 weeks has got me some great ideas to put into the game! (I'll suprise you, you'll have 2 find out what they are later... ;) )

Oh yeah, before I forget, I'm remaking my Hiro charset, be sure to look for an update on it, if need it ;)
 
I won't be releasing another demo to around christmas, since after 1/2 term I'll be concentrating on school work again, but I should have quite a lot done by then! I won't be making the trainers like on RBY, most I'll make up, but I'll model the storyline on a master guide I have rather than play through the games, that way I can work on a complete area without having to re-do it later. n_n The trainers will have roughly same level pok?mon and be in roughly same places, but they'll be different. This adds a bit more 'newness' to it anyway. :P
 
I'm also glad that you've posted. Although Christmas is relatively far from
now, I'm hoping that you do as best as you can. And don't regret later for
not gettting enough work done! (joking)
 
I've decided not to do Hoenn in my game. The reason for this is it would simply take too long, and besides, you'll have the Sevii Islands to look forward to with new secrets (being 3 years since FRLG), and a new set of islands by Johto. n_n Oh yeah, and please tell me what you think of Azalea Gym. (Not done Violet Gym yet, since Azalea's is easier :P). I've also done the map for Vermilion City, but I won't post that. (Don't want to ruin the game n.n)

EDIT: I've also done Goldenrod. :D
 
I really like the first screenshot. The tree in the middle really stands
out. (being a good thing) It's great to see more of people working!
 
The wall at the back of the gyms and the doormat I still have to re-do, as I just took a Pok?center chipset and started editing that. n_n
I also need some ideas for a name for my set of 'Johto Islands', so if you could post ideas that would be helpful :P. I'm not sure how many islands there will be yet, but they'll be packed with fun stuff to do! n_n

Sounds awesome. Well, because your game is going to be Lunar Silver, how about making the islands the Solar Islands?
 
Well, that would kinda confuse things, since LunarSilver is supposed to have an alternate version SolarGold (even though I'm not working on that yet), so if I called them Solar Islands in one and Lunar Islands in the other it would be confusing. Thanks for the suggestion anyway. n_n
I've also finished the maps for the first 6 Johto Gyms (I re-done some parts of Azalea's and Goldenrod's gyms), but I won't post piccies of all 6. So... I'll ask you guys which out of the first 6 Johto Gyms you would like to see, and the first 3 posted I will upload pics of! :P
 
I actually like the idea about Solar/Lunar island.. because you could add exclusive version Pokemons in each game on those islands :P

Ooo, I'd like to see Violet's gym :)
 
Okay, here is Violet City Gym!
I'm currently working on the last 2 Johto Gyms, then I'll do the EliteFour area. n_n. I may also release the chipsets I've made for the Gyms before the end of half term so others can use them.

EDIT: I'll probably change the statue things at the front of the gym to be Pok?balls rather than Pok?mon (like in GS) tomorrow.
