  • I know this idea isn't amazing or polished, but I think it's good idea to build on.

Sometimes, there are people who I want to see when they post or what they post, instead of looking through the forums to see what they post. So, if you are someone's friend, there should be an extension: Best Friends.

If you are someone's Best Friend, you can see when they post a thread/reply through the Notification system. Of course, there would have to be some sort of limit on the amount as it would be ridiculous if you were Best Friends with all of your friends.

I apologise if this is terrible or has already been suggested.

    Thank you for reading.

  • I don't know what I think of this idea yet, but I'd suggest it being called "following" or something like that. So that you can get notifications from people whose posts you like but who aren't your friends.

  • honestly I rather like this idea. not sure who I'd "follow" or "best friend" (other than Axton) but there are definitely people I'd like to. (0:

  • Already foreseeing complaints of people being able to follow others and seeing all their posts and threads, only given the amount of privacy-related suggestion threads in recent months. :/ I love this idea personally, though.

But you already can see any of them ever...

  • I think I would prefer following. I think we had a idea where you can have 'best friends' suggested before, think it was shot down because like Myspace's feature, people could get jealous and mad and ect.

Not sure if I would use the feature. Maybe a picture row for users online that you follow, blog notifications. Every post/thread though? As for your suggestions, the second part would be difficult to code probably. The first one, isn't that whats available in the stats section on peoples profile?

  • I like the idea of following tbh. For those that don't like it, they don't have to follow someone haha. Simple as that. I think it would be neat!

I would stalk Axton, Klippy, and elheroeoscuro. >:)

I'm not sure that I care to have people see exactly where / when I post EvErY tImE, but it is a good suggestion, and kind of neat. If it's possible to code, it'd be cool.

  • This is a pretty neat feature and all but what if someone doesn't want to be followed?

There could be some sort of setting where you could change it from 'anyone can follow' to 'accept only' or 'friends only', but I don't see what's wrong with being followed to be honest. It might make a new person have confidence, or something.
