    I'm not going for a full living dex, but I am trying to get most of the shinies from gens 1-3. And I want one of each stage, not just final evolutions. So I'm living dex shiny hunting. I don't have any plans to soft reset though so the legendaries are probably out.

    And I'm not masuda methoding much until I can get a foreign Ditto and a shiny charm.

    Anyways today I found a shiny Dragonair in Friend Safari, it was 1,644 encounters. Only 44 encounters today. I had been in that friend safari for awhile. That's my longest Friend Safari hunt and my 4th to go over a 1,000. The others were Palpitoad, Floatzel and Mankey.

    Then I found a second shiny Growlithe at 495 Friend Safari encounters and will evolve it to Arcanine.

    On the 25th on caught 2 shinies, Volbeat in 58 Dexnav's and Spearow in 541 Friend Safari encounters.

    Today I caught 4 more, Taillow at 470 Dexnav's, then Dwebble at 134 Friend Safari encounters and then Seedot at 421 Dexnav's.
    I found a second shiny Dwebble at 99 FS encounters.

    Hi everyone, congrats on all new shinies.
    So far have been busy lately but managed to get some new shinies. They were all found in S.O.S battles.
    they are the following: cottonee, beldum, ditto, riolu, golbat, golduck. snorunt, sneazel one of the riolus is now a lucario and one of the cottonees is a whimsicot. The ditto had a quickpowder attached but don´t know if it counts since it was S.O.S encountered.
    Some shinies that i may have not posted since the last time last month may be a couple of vulpix (one of them a ninetails) and some rockruffs (one a lycanroc) and a machop.
    Also completed the pokedex and got my shiny charm but don´t see any difference so far since i haven´t found any normal encounter shiny since the hard reset litten and the RE ghastly.
    So far have been busy trying to level my team to lvl 100 for battle tree and trying to have a solid team for competitions, but thats another subject. I hope some shinies appear while breeding my team.

    Nice! I've lost count how many I found myself (somewhere between 30 and 60 probably). Between hunting, Wonder Trade luck and live trades when I go to conventions I'm at over 400 different shinies.

    And as for hunting news I found my first shiny in my copy of Sun! (and my 2nd, and 3rd...)

    On the 23rd I found a random encountered Staryu, and then SOS chained a Bagon. and on the 24th I SOS chained a Elekid.

    Hello everyone I just joined the website to make a post in this forum. I´ve been shiny hunting on and off on my soul silver since the day I´ve bought it. However my last shiny hunt took me quite longer than I anticipated but today finally after appx. 8000 resets. (started counting only after a couple of thousand :) I received my shiny charmander so I just had the urge to "tell" someone. Good luck with your hunts I´ll probably be continuing in trying shiny bagon (on sun) and eevee (casino in soul silver) :).
    EDIT: he´s a quirky nature (I don´t know his IV´s because I don´t know how to figure them out)

    On the 27th I caught a shiny Swirlix at 419 Friend Safari encounters then I caught a male Ralts Dexnaving at 419. I evolved it to Gallade.

    On the 1st I finally caught a 2nd shiny Kirlia at 1,118 Friend Safari encounters and evolved it to Gardevoir which finished the entire line.

    I previously got a shiny Ralts in 53 eggs and a shiny Kirlia in 30 FS encounters last July and August.

    I also caught a shiny Toxicroak at 128 and a Cacturne in 8 encounters that day.

    I got a Shiny Pelipper and a Shiny Luvdisc that I want to trade for any other Shiny, as long as I don't already have one. They were random catches and I have no idea whether their Natures are good and so forth, but I can provide that info if requested.

    But I will accept almost any other Shiny for them. I don't care about Nature, IVs, EVs or anything else. I just want someone to trade with. It can be the worst competitive Pokemon I will take anything!!

    Also, I can Nickname either Pokemon whatever you like!!

    After the Cacturne I had a 4 day drought. But on the 5th I caught 2 shinies.

    Slakoth in 622 Dexnav encounters, I evolved it to Vigoroth
    And Skarmory, my longest dexnav hunt at 1,040

    On the 6th I found 2 more, Psyduck in 60 hordes and Poochyena in 617 Dexnav's

    On the 7th I caught shiny Rhyhorn at 912 Dexnav's, Krabby in 13 Dexnav's and Rattata in 69 Dexnav's. I evolved Rattata to Raticate.

    On the 8th I found Shiny Vullaby in 277 Friend Safari encounters.

    On the 10th I found a second shiny Vullaby in Friend Safari, it was 1,916 encounters after the first, then on the 11th I found a 3rd shiny Vullaby in 73 encounters. So 3 shiny Vullaby in 2,266 Friend Safari encounters. I was in a friend safari with Absol and Sandile, mainly looking for Absol.


    I also caught a shiny Zangoose in 903 Dexnav encounters on the 11th. I was a little worried the shiny would have Final Gambit or Curse or Quick Claw but luckily it didn't. I thought what the heck, you have to take risks. Also it was male, the first male after 11 female shinies.

    On the 13th I found a shiny Absol in 548 Dexnav encounters.

    On the 15th I found a shiny Bibarel in 963 Friend Safari encounters, I previously found a shiny Floatzel in this friend safari in 1,028. I've only been looking for the shiny Azumarill in the friend safari without much luck.

    I also found shiny Magby in 243 Dexnav's.

    Shiny Misdreavus on the 17th in 454 Dexnav's, it had Momento but luckily I had my Imprison/Momento Muk I bred. I guess it was bound to happen since I dodged the Final Gambit bullet on Zangoose and 2 Rattata's.

    Shiny Xatu on the 19th in 75 Dexnav encounters and shiny Bibarel #2 that day in 899 Friend Safari encounters. Looking at my Dexnavs I've had short mirage spot dexnav shinies like Xatu, Magby, Porygon and Stantler, all under 300 and long ones such as Elekid 798 and Slowpoke 662. I usually run from the Pokémon on mirage spots to save leppa berries.

    I don't have any shinies, the only non trainer shiny I have met was a hippowdon and it suicided

    On the 23rd I finally found a shiny Ivysaur in Friend Safari, 1,966 encounters. It's my newest longest Friend Safari hunt,

    On the 24th I found a shiny Onix in Friend Safari in 83 encounters, a drastic contrast to the Ivysaur. I evolved it to Steelix.


    On the 26th I finished the starter middle evolutions with Wartortle, it took 944 Friend Safari encounters, so about a 1,000 less then Ivysaur...

    Today I found my 3rd shiny Slakoth Dexnaving, it was 263. That's 3 shiny Slakoth in 916 Dexnav encounters. I will evolve it to Slaking.

    • Since last posting I have caught two more Shinys:

    A Shiny Jolly Male Gligar that I caught after about 15 hoards in XY.

    A Shiny Male Eevee (My fourth) in Sun/Moon. He has a quirky nature and I am not sure what to evolve him into.
