  • Hey there. Some of you might not know me, but there's definitely some of you who do and as you can see, I have returned. For those who knew me back in 2015 and earlier, although I've said it before on my personal blog post for PC and in appeals, I'm sorry for the mistakes I made back then and I hope you can move forward with things as I will.

If you never knew me because you're newer to the community than that, well, it's nice to meet you! A lot's happened in my absence, not the least of which involved me getting married, shuffling some jobs for a time, starting a software company, and moving into a house of my own with my husband. I've also taken two trips to New York City, once when September ended in 2017 and again in early January of 2018.

I've never stopped learning about programming, and these days I find great joy in solving more abstract problems as a software engineer as I tapped out in what I could reasonably justify learning in terms of languages. If you'd like to say hi, don't be shy! ??owl??s don't bite! ;)

Everyone hits bumps in the road. Just stay rational, optimistic, and empathetic; and I'm sure all the new skills you've learned along the way will one day become an invaluable asset to PC.

    Welcome back, and happy posting.

Welcome back! We all make mistakes. Hopefully we learn and grow from them and apply them to our future selves. It seems you've been up to quite a bit during your absence. Congrats on your marriage! I've always considered taking a bus trip to NYC for a day just to explore the city. Though that would probably require several bus trips :P

Again, welcome back, and enjoy your time here!

  • good on you! NYC is a very nice place to visit, you can go forever without getting bored and always have something to do. welcome back man =)
    Thanks :)

yeah, we have a friend my stepdad-in-law knew from his school days, named Tommy, him and his husband live in Jersey City and work in Manhattan. He's been there for about 20 years, originally emigrating during the Indonesian civil unrest in 1998 as an asylum seeker, and he still hasn't run out of places to eat! xD
