  • This will be my first challenge (the first I'm posting at least).
I'm going to use Lapras and Tauros and and I'm going to try to do the ultimate run.
For obvious reasons I will hack them in.

    Games used: Blue/Gold/Sapphire/Pearl/White

  • Ok, I've finished defeating all the gyms already.
I was planning to post some screenshots, but apparantly I have to post more than 15 posts before I can do that (?)

Anyway, this is my team at the moment:

    Nessie (Lapras) lvl. 53
    - Ice beam
    - Surf
    - Thunderbolt
    - Psychic

    Torro (Tauros) lvl. 55
    - Earthquake
    - Strength
    - Body slam
    - Rage

I know, the nicknames are very original...

    Finished defeating the pokemon league.
Lorelei was a piece of quake with Nessies thunderbolt.
    Bruno was OHKO by psychic+surf.
Agatha was a bit more difficult due to Gengars high speed, but psychic and earthquake did the trick.
Lance wasn't that difficult with an ice pokemon like Lapras (+thunderbolt for Garyados).
    Eventually Red:
    Pidgeot OHKO by ice beam,
    Rhydon OHKO by surf,
    Exceggutor OHKO by ice beam,
    Garyados OHKO by thunderbolt,
    Alakazam defeated by earthquake,
Charizard defeated by a couple of body slams.

    Nessie (Lapras) lvl.66
    - Ice beam
    - Surf
    - Thunderbolt
    - Psychic

    Torro (Tauros) lvl.58
    - Earthquake
    - Strength
    - Body slam
    - Rage

Seriously, this is going pretty fast with speed toggle on.
Going to start in Johto right away.

I think I'll do Johto with Scyther and Gyarados . (Quick question, are we allowed to use other pokemon for fly/strength etc..?)

  • Just defeated the pokemon league in Johto.
Wasn't to hard except for Bruno's Machamp and his cross chop...
Now heading for Kanto and eventually red ofcourse.

    Current team:

    Nessie the Lapras lvl. 48
    - Dragon breath
    - Body slam
    - Ice beam
    - Surf

    Torro the Tauros lvl. 48
    - Strength
    - Earthquake
    - Iron tail
    - Trash

Red was a lot more difficult than I had expected, but I managed to defeat him on the second try.

    Pikachu OHKO by Torro's Earthquake,
    Espeon defeated by Torro's Trash,
Snorlax defeated by a lot of Trash, surf and revives
Venusaur defeated by Nessie's Ice beam,
Blastoise defeated by Nessie's Dragon breath and psychic,
    Charizard defeated by Nessie's Surf.

    End team:

    Nessie the Lapras lvl. 69
    - Dragon breath
    - Body slam
    - Ice beam
    - Surf

    Torro the Tauros lvl. 70
    - Strength
    - Earthquake
    - Iron tail
    - Trash

Probably going to start Sapphire tomorrow.

  • Completed Hoenn.

Probably the easiest region so far, maybe a tie with Kanto.
Only had some trouble with Stevens Metagross, but a couple of revives did the trick.

    My team:

    Nessie the Lapras lvl 55
    -Surf
    -Body slam
    -Thunderbolt
    -Ice beam

    Torro the Tauros lvl. 52
    -Strength
    -Trash
    -Earthquake
    -Rock tomb

    I've also started playing pearl.
    -Chose Piplup
    - Hacked in Lapras and Tauros (both lvl. 4)
    - Defeated Roark with Nessie at lvl. 14
    - Defeated Gardenia after a lot of rematches. Turned out that Roserade and Grass knot are an epic combo againt a Lapras. Also Lapras only had Ice shard that was very effective, but a reflect by turtwig messed things up. Eventually Torro appeared to be the most valuable pokemon against Gardenia using Horn attacks. Both Pokemon were at lvl. 22.

  • Update time!

The gyms after Gardenia weren't as hard as she was.
Torro learned Zen headbutt, which was great against the fighting gym if it weren't for Lucario (part steel) and Meditite (part psychic), but Nessies water pulse and Torro's strength were enough.
The other gyms were defeated even more easily.
Also the Iron island was a really great place to train Nessie, which explains why it's currently overpowered.

    Currently going to Mt. Coronet.

  • Finally finished Sinnoh! Didn't go near as fast as the other games...
The remaining gyms weren't very hard. Teaching Torro Earthquake meant destroying the electric gym with much ease.

The Elite four were pretty tough.
-Aaron was defeated mainly by Torro's Rock slide
-Bertha was quite easy with Nessie's Surf
-Flint was very easy with Surf and Earthquake
-Lucian was hard because of Alakazam's Focus blast and Gallade's Drain punch, but managed to defeat him with Torro's Trash
-Cynthia was also quite hard, but managed to defeat her by using a couple revives

The proof (also those of the previous games)
    Spoiler:

Only one game to go! The nds games take a lot more time, becaus of the lack of throttle...
