I named my self Daichi and changed the starter to Kingdra (can't evolve with trade/can't evolve Johto Pokemon in Fire Red), renamed King, and my rival, Tyson, chose a Bulbasaur. Easy battle as you could guess. I went to Viridian City and got the Pokeballs and returned them to Oak. Got the Pokedex and the Map. Went and caught an Ursaring, renamed Ring (Most. Creative. Names. Evar :D) Ring devastated Viridian Forest and King demolished the first Gym.

Hey, I have a suggestion about this challenge. If you are doing an Ultimate, then instead of changing pokemon every gen or using the same throughout, you should have similar ones for each gen, such as: Gen 1 you use, say, Venusaur and Kadabra/Alakazam, then gen 2 would be Meganium and Espeon, being Johto's Venusaur and Kadabra/Alakazam, then gen 3 you would use Sceptile and Gardevoir, being Hoenn's Venusaur and Kadabra/Alakazam, and so on with Torterra and Bronzong for gen 4, and Serperior and Gothitelle/Reuniclus in gen 5. Just a suggestion.

Well, I started out my journey and met my first pokemon Dratini, the two of us joined forces and quickly met up with our partner Diglett. The battles were tough at the beginning, neither had high health nor defenses so the training to confront Brock was merciless. Though, we eventually defeated him and made our way through Mt. Moon, past Team Rocket, and made it to Cerulean city. Misty was a surprise for our team, we defeated her thanks to Digletts use of Magnitude pulling off an attack that her Starmie never suspected.

Our rival was of course baffled by our skill, his Pidgeotto never stood a chance against the powerful Rock Tomb attack Diglett possessed and eventually, when we reached Vermillion City, on the S.S. Anne, both Diglett and Dratini reached their evolutions. Currently we are in Fuschia City after we beat the Grass gym leader and defeated the Rocket's in the Casino and the Burial Tower. The journey this far has been rough but so far we are managing to make it through with as much work as we can put in.

Once again, I have been hard at work on my adventure. Due to rigourous non-stop training I have gotten my Draganair to evolve into Draginite and Dugtrio has gotten up to level 70 while Dragonite is close behind at level 69, I plan to take on the Elite Four soon to finish my challenge and hopefully I will successfully be able to take down their powerful pokemon with my two loyal friends.

I'll post updates as I go along =) I'm getting the Scizor as a Scyther Egg and the Kabutops as a Kabuto Egg. The plan is to run around in circles as soon as I get them until they hatch. Then, I'll re-trade the scyther back over and have a friend trade it again with a metal coat immediately upon being hatched.

Update 1 (No screenies, working off of my DS!):

Picked Totadile to give my rival at last some semblance of defense against my duo team (Kabutops has a 4x weakness to grass)
Walkd to Mr. Pokemon's house, etc. etc.
Ran back to the town after finishing up business with Prof. Elm
Bought 10 Pokeballs, caught 2 Sentrets, then traded my friend for 2 eggs.

Proceeded to run around in circles until the eggs hatched, and named Kabuto Tops and Scizor Zor (if anyone's read the manga, you'll get where I got my name ideas from).
Immediately traded Scyther back to friend upon hatching, and was traded back to me after a metal coat was attached. Level 1 Scizor ftw!
Spent about 30 minutes leveling Kabuto and Scizor to appropriate levels, then dumped Totadile off in the computer.

Ran to Sprout Tower, and proceeded to roflstomp everything in my path with my level 9 Zor
Walked to the gym and also roflstomped everything in my path with my level 10 Tops. Pidgeotto gave me a tad bit of trouble due to my levels, but two Quick Attacks from Zor was plenty to finish it off

Traveled to Azalea Town, teaching Tops Rock Tomb with the TM I found in the cave and shut down team rocket. Shortly after that, I destroyed Bugsy with my level 15 Zor (vs Scyther was hilarious).
Gave Kurt two pink apricorns before I left.
Ran into my rival, whose team got ripped apart by my level 17 Tops.

And now I'm sitting in the Ilex forest, getting ready to catch some pesky Farfetch'ds!

Update:
Alrighty, Last time I was in slateport, I tried to avoid as many trainers as possible, because Umbrel was already overleveled, I'd battle them as soon as I'd get a Zangoose, to train him.
May was pretty easy to beat, thanks to Umbrel's sheer power.

I finally got up to Fallarbor, and after a short trip east, I found myself a Zangoose. Gave him the greatest nickname ever: Mr Awesome.

The only reason why Mr. Awesome is holding the rare Candy is because my bag is full. XD
I beat all the trainers around Mauville, right now I'm training Mr. Awesome around the area I caught him.

Right-o, It's been a while since I last played. I found myself in the middle of the desert.

Since, I've already beat all them trainers in here, I decided to go staight to the Petalburg gym.

*Gulp* I got some baaad memories from this place, let's hope everything goes well...
