the first 2 apply to most challenges

1. You dont have to actually record them though a few screenshots/pics as evidence is nice, usually a HoF pic or something, though feel free to record it. just make sure you update in the appropriate thread (for this challenge that would be this thread) when you make significant progress

2.Either works, i own a physical copy of Platinum and White version but i have played them emulated before, the older games are usually emulated though from what i see, though i'm sure some people have working GBAs or the VC versions of red/blue

Special Missions:
You can see your pokemon's true potential, beyond that of simple brute force battling, as such any one of them must win one master rank pokemon contest to show its intelligence, beauty, cuteness, toughness or coolness.
Optional: Though defeating the champion finishes the veteran's journey, a true trainer seeks out additional challenge and will journey to the fight area and capture or defeat the legendary heatran within the volcano.

Magnificent!
Despite all my difficulties in making decisions and showing
preferences you managed to find me a challenge!

However, there's a few things that might need clarification...
First off, should I use higher level mons to get things done faster
or should I use lower level ones in order to get higher stats?
For instance:
~~Staraptor - I have a lv.33 starly in the boxes, it shouldn't be a problem~~ nevermind, I realized I gotta get one from route 201!My bad:P
Blissey - I got a couple lv.18 chanseys, a lv.18 happiny(coming along with the chanseys from the trophy garden) and the egg-hatched happiny.
Also,about the roserade... oh, nevermind!I have an other shiny stone!
We're safe...except I gotta know whether I should get myself a she-roselia or a she-budew!
(again, a higher level mon gets things done faster but a lower lever one grows stronger when
reaching high levels).
I've read "get digging for those red shards"... should I get 10 shards or only 4 since I already have 6?
Heatran is optional, but again, it's already in a box reserved to legendaries, so... ~_~
Damien uses the counter-proposal!
Two other possibilities would be
-Getting all the way back to Mt.Stark in the exact point where Heatran is found.
-Befriending Heatran(get those two hearts maxed out!)

Or did I get evrything wrong and should start a new game?

see generally yeah people who do challenges start a new game, if you dont want to wipe your diamond file you can always emulate it or pearl, since you can emulate soulsilver and black diamond or pearl (or even plat if you want) should be no problem

and Arubetsu, i'll get right on that

First: judging by your answers and that you seem to be focused on environmentalism and calmness, grass or water would be a good fit for you

Lilligant: Forest, Feminine Traits, petals inspired by several Asian themed fruits and plants
Your loyal lilligant wants nothing more than to conserve the environment, as such she loathes defeating wild pokemon, if one must be beaten, she won't and can't do it. preferring to run or let her allies do it instead, as such she cannot KO wild pokemon. she also wishes to bring a small piece of her asian inspired design to you, allowing you to experience the far east you want to see some day, with this she wants to show off her oriental dances, and the beauty of a cherry blossom. meaning she must learn at least one dance move, and must have petal dance or petal blizzard in her final moveset

Special Mission: environmental studies. you dont want to capture too many pokemon and disturb the natural balance, but you still need to study them, as such you should endeavor to see all non SoS pokemon on a route at least once before moving to the next route.
Optional: Explore the entire world, leave no stone unturned, make sure to fill out the entire map of alola (except obv the battle tree area) before taking on the pokemon league

Okay, might have started the challenge, however I need to know whether I am allowed
to level my just-caught lv.2 starly with assistance from the starter(or just get a lv.3 starly).
You see, 2 is the minimum level on route 201 and Lake Verity, and all the opposing wild
pok?mon have either tackle or either growl, and considering I'm not allowed to get his
health points below one third of the total, it is implied that evry time I'd have to get
back home and ask ma to prescribe us some ointment on the double...
Any directions or suggestions, fellows?

generally for the beginning, training a pokemon early that you have to get using your starter is fine as long as its wild pokemon, just make sure its strong enough to fight alone before you get to the trainers on the route past sandgem town
