    Hm... not bad.

Well, there are a few things that bother me.

    1) There are soooo many characters. By the end, I had forgotten who most of them were. The weird names didn't help, either. XD
I can understand having that many characters, but all of them traveling together, all at the same time, all with the same goals... it was a little too much. Gym battles got repetitive.

    2) Speaking of repetitive. Oh my god, some of those battles were so boring. "Scratch." "Ember." "Scratch." "Another Ember." "One more scratch." "K.O." It was just... dull.
I have to admit, that last gym battle was pretty good. You should've made more like that. A lot of these, particularly the older ones, were meant to be suspenseful, but they were just.. not. Like in the first "movie" thing. That battle dragged on way too long to keep my interest. Same with the Team Rocket building thing.

    3) Your characters -almost- never lose. I don't recall any time other than that one gym where anyone lost. Oh, there was that one double battle too... anyways. I get that having someone lose will slow things down even further, but that's another point I was getting at. Everyone seems to have the same goal. I mean, not everyone necessarily -has- to fight in the gyms, especially when you have like 15 kids running around. You'd think at least a couple of them would want to do something else.

Anyways, a few things I -did- like:

    - The second "movie." Battle dragged on a bit, but it was entertaining.
    - Brock & Misty. They made me laugh out loud every time you showed them.
    - The time it took to do all of it being only like- a week.
    - Tauros.
    - The whole Safari Zone arc was pretty funny.

That's all I can remember right now. XD

The graphics were pretty good... Well, the second half's were, anyways. The sprites were made well, and you did a good job at making MD sprites work.

I noticed a lot of grammar and spelling errors. Mostly in the first half, but still quite a few in the later ones as well. By the end they weren't very noticable anymore.

I'll be sure to read any new ones you make. :3

Thanks for the honnest review. I actually think the same things. And I'll keep them in mind. There are indeed a lot of characters that can be seen as main characters at this point, but it was already to late for me to scrap some when I realised this. And the losing thing, it's when I noticed that that I decided to let Beco lose his gym battle twice. But still, things will be done about that.

The battles even bore me. I guess I will have to read more of the Pokémon Adventure manga to get interresting battles. I'll try to make them interresting while I remake them, especially the movies, they need an actual plot instead of a way to long battle.

As for the many, many grammar and vocabulary mistakes, well, I can hope that my English will improve even more over the years.

Anyway, I'm glad that you took the time to read my comic, and I'm glad that you still kind of enjoyed it.

Edit: New episode: Episode 338: Extreme

    *Volcano.

Also, you should have a question mark after "But.. why would you do that."

This was a pretty good one. The joke wasn't overdone or obvious, which is nice to see. And I have to admit, I laughed out loud at the Pidgeot thing.

I'm also interested in what will happen now that they're splitting up. Maybe things will be less confusing. XD

Oh, and I'm pretty sure that you are allowed to bump your thread with new content. You don't have to delete your posts.

    Pixel Art Rules said:
    Consecutive Posting
In order to bump your work, we do permit consecutive posting, though there must be a considerable period of time between posts i.e. more than a day. In addition, if you are constricted by the image limit (maximum of 20 images per post), you are also permitted to post consecutively. That said, numerous posts in a row will not reflect well upon your thread.
That's from the Pixel Art rules, but I believe it applies here as well.

Hey Beco, nice to see you livening up our on-the-verge-of-dying comics section here. I've been a silent admirer of your comics for a while, but never really jumped on the bandwagon.
Well, since I don't have the time or dedication to read the WHOLE series, I glanced over at the latest gym battle. I noticed that the characters never seem to be excited, and that there's an overuse of periods rather than exclamation points.

    Instead of, "We did it!"
    It's, "We did it."

Which comes of sounding more monotone and almost as if the speaker was bored, rather than exciting at defeating the gym leader.
Besides that, great comic, and I hope it doesn't come to a sudden and inexplicable end.

wow beco you came to pokecommunity, gotta say pokemon journey is one of my faveorite comics back on serebii. good luck with your future comics btw.

yea this forum is more into the whole hacks and such but you shouldnt let that get you down.
anywho, im lovin the chapter, not much to say but it was good.

good to know that youll keep trying, i like ben and charmeleons relationship, it makes me laugh.

I haven't read the main comics admittedly, as I'm a busy guy, but I did read the first Rocket War.
And I must say for once I actually enjoyed a pokemon comic with such a large cast. You created side characters that had relevance to the plot, none of the good guys had ubers and the main characters really developed from an early stage. I also feel the plot was pretty cool with the whole royal family bit. Presentation was nice too, I hope you keep posting your comics here.

KageX: It's one of the first Pokémon-Human friendships in the comic that gets some attention, I wish I could do more, but they would slow down the story to much.

Fox♠: Thanks, the Rocket wars are my favorite creation as well. Season 2 of the main story will become rather like it.

Anyway, I have a new episode ready:
    Episode 343: Home Again

Beco, you bring a little shine to our Pokemon comics. I love your story and plot line, as it's original but still has the traditional Pokemon journey theme to it. The Rocket war also cleared up things that wouldn't make sense otherwise. I especially like the second movie, darkness rising. I wonder, will you be adding a second season?

    Awesome, Good Job ;)

    *Message is too short*

OK, I haven't read the main comic yet, but I just have to say, the rocket wars were AWESOME. Only complaints are that there was slightly too much blood and dying in some parts, you could've spread it out more, and I didn't really like the 4 in 1 panel, it was too hard to see what's actually happening.

dragonqueen0210: Thanks for reading the comic. Yes, there will be a second season, continuing the story of the first season.

    Pavilion!: Thanks

~Poke~: Thanks, I know I went to far with some scenes, and at the end the deaths of some characters did not even get the time to sink in before the next one fell, but I'm glad that you liked the story of TFRW, I see it as one of my masterpieces as well. :p

Anyway, I just started a cross over special with another comic author on SPPF, it is a part of the normal story, so I'll post it here as well.

    The Chronicles of Puranas
    Part 1
    Part 2

    Enjoy
