Each year, the Primetime Emmy Awards mark the beginning of the serious Hollywood award season. Aside from the Golden Globes, there are no awards more prestigious in the television realm, and to score a nomination – let alone win the actual award – is an honor of the highest regard in the television industry.

We watch these shows year after year and hope that our favourite programs or actors will get the recognition they deserve when it comes time for the awards to be handed out. But are you able to separate your bias from reality? Can you see the difference between what you want to win and what will win?

The game is simple: below you will see a list of the official Emmy categories and nominees. Your job is to pick who you think will win in each category and post it in this thread. Then, once the award ceremony has been aired on September 18th and all the winners announced, the person who has guessed the most categories correctly will be the winner of a shiny new emblem!

So, without further ado, here are the nominees!

  • The Awards for Guest Acting and Reality TV Host will be given out tonight at the Creative Arts Emmy Awards. Because of this, these parts of your answers will not count towards the game, as people voting after tonight will have an unfair advantage.

I'll be voting later in the week, where I hope to kick all of your asses with my awesome prognostication skills.

Oh dammit- I totally forgot there were different ceremonies. I just looked at the list of Emmys (there are so many categories) and picked those that looked the most mainstream. I'll edit the event now so that future posts needn't bother replying to these.
