    The entry period has closed for the first Blackout Poetry Comp with the theme of Colour, and so begins voting!

    You have until the end of the month, so vote away! Feel free to discuss the entries too (which can be found in the main thread) and discuss them if you want here or there. Voting is private unless you want to say why you voted the way you did and so forth. Also do discuss any suggestions/etc for next month's edition, such as what you think the theme should be and all!

    Naturally voting for yourself is uncool and frowned upon greatly!

    Yeah I had a TON of trouble with the theme, lol. I had to look for pages with certain words in them and they were hard to find, and then even if I could find a page with a color-related word, then the rest of them wouldn't fit into a good one....x.x;

    Yeah I just happened to come across a very convenient page for this theme, and made the best out of it, though it's still a bit vague lol. But it was fun to do!
     
    It wasn't that hard for me, but I guess that's just 'cuz I went straight to the most colorful thing I could think of - a Wikipedia page on Rainbows. >.>

    But I'd also like the theme to be more emotional next time, if 'tis possible :3
     
    Comments on a less colourful, more emotive theme noted (I guess something along the lines of love/anger/etc as said will be along the lines I go for then). Guess colour wasn't the greatest idea for the blackout thread's first comp in hindsight. =p
     
    If anyone does have any ideas for a theme that they would like to see for this, PM it to either me or bobandbill, and we'll add it to the list.

    Hey there! I'm new to this forum and actually found it through a Google Alert on Blackout Poetry. I like your competition and you guys had some very nice submissions. I would be interested in competing in the next one, when does that start? :)

    Also, I vote for the theme of the next one to be Love


    But some other themes I can think of might be:
    Advice
    War / Soldiers
    Lost Love / Secret Relationships
    Dreams
    Marriage
    Happiness
    Music
    Rebellion
     
    The next round will start in the beginning of October.
