    Mission One

Note: First and foremost I want to welcome everyone to the RP. The first go around with this RP went fairly well, but I lost inspiration. In my absence, I have recollected my thoughts and realized what exactly I want to do with this RP. With all of that being said, let's get this show on the road!

Mission Information: It is globally known about the recent assassination of Bruno, longtime member of the Kanto Elite 4. Although he was murdered, Pokemon League officials have done little to nothing about the situation other than telling the Elite 4 to go into hiding. For some odd reason, each of the members of the Elite 4 obliged to the suggestions of the league and haven't been seen in months. Professor Oak, perhaps the world's most notable professor, recently stepped down from his post as an official of the Pokemon League, disagreeing with the cowardice acts of the organization.

Reaching out to Oak, a young male Trainer from Castelia City, Unova named Hiro Kazuma, expressed his interest in forming an army that would combat Bruno's assassins, dubbed by the media as "R". Professor Oak, although fully committed to Hiro idea, could not take the young man seriously. However, he supported the young man and told him to find as many friends around the world as possible to get something started. After that, everything was up to him.

So he did just that. Hiro sent out a distress signal to all his penpals, associates, and close friends telling them to meet him in Goldenrod City, Johto, a booming city in the rural part of the world. He expressed to his comrades that once everyone arrived (as far as those who actually responded), he will fully explain the first plan of action.

    Mission Objectives:

    1. Meet with Hiro and learn about why the Elite Army is being formed. Discuss any ideas with the team.
    2. Figure out why Bruno was targeted and also figure out who could possibly be the next target.
    3. Protect Goldenrod City.

    800px-Goldenrod_City_HGSS.png

A developing city where people and Pokémon come and go as they like.

Setting: Goldenrod City - A sprawling metropolis located in western Johto. It is the largest city in the region. Goldenrod is the center of the region's economy and telecommunications. Major attractions for Trainers include the Goldenrod Radio Tower, the city's Department Store, Game Corner, Name Rater, Magnet Train, and Gym.

Important: In EVERY post, please have your character's name, location of your character, as well as active Pokemon. If your Pokemon faints, please be sure to use the 'strike through' HTML code on your given Pokemon. Also, put the nicknames (if you have any) of your Pokemon in parentheses beside the official name of the Pokemon. Stay active, have fun, and let's do it!

Goldenrod Department Store Roof - Goldenrod City, Johto

Today was certainly going to be a life changing day for the entire world... or so Hiro Kazuma wanted to think. Hailing from the largest city in the world geographically and in population, Castelia Cit, Unova, Hiro found himself on an escapade to the Johto region. Albeit, Johto was rural in comparison to the modernly up-to-date Unova region, it was definitely just as beautiful. The people were actually more friendly here and the landmarks that surrounded the region were jaw dropping. But Hiro was not here for vacation or by any means. Nor was he even here to journey the entire region, although he had planned to in the future. Hiro was here for one sole purpose: to form the beginning stages of a Trainer coalition that would put an end to the threat of mysterious assassins before they even considered resurfacing to strike again.

The situation would be a bit less scary had other Elite 4 members not disappeared (whether if it mysterious disappearances or hiding from this dangerous organization) and if random Trainers were not getting murdered and kidnapped as well. All of this led Hiro to one ultimate conclusion: the world had to join forces in putting an end to the madness. It seemed like everyone was sitting back and waiting, but Hiro had to act. Over the course of his Trainer career, Hiro had made friends with numerous people. Well known in Unova as a hometown hero and globally known as a topnotch Trainer, Hiro sent out an urgent message to his penpals, friends, associates, and even some family members about the formation of a organization of Trainers who wanted to put an end to R. Of course, his invitations were met with a few ignores, nays, and laughs in his face, but Hiro was serious. For those who did respond, Hiro told them to meet him in Goldenrod City on this date on the roof of the Department Store.

Not really surprised, Hiro showed up first on the rood that overlooked the entire city of Goldenrod. Across the street, Hiro gazed at the landmark of the city, the Goldenrod Radio Tower, the tallest building in the city. The tower was famous for being attacked by a neo Team Rocket organization that wanted revenge on the world for the absence of Giovanni. Since then, the entire region of Johto lived peacefully. With a sigh escaping his lips, Hiro eyes focused on the landmarks of the city as he awaited the arrival of his comrades. Hopefully.

Wandering the streets of Goldenrod-------->Goldenrod Department Store Roof

Adell wandered throughout Goldenrod, trying to get a feel for the town before meeting up with Hiro. The north entrance to the Underground was next to the Namerater's house, the Gym next to the flower shop. The radio tower stood next to the Train station, and the Pokemon Center was across the street from the Department Store were he was suppose to meet up to talk about "R". Adell would love to think that "R" did not exist, and was an urban myth. However, speculation based on current evidence proved, at least to him, that something big was behind this. To kill such a powerful trainer meant that either the attacker(s) was strong or ambushed him, meaning they took out a powerful man physically(Bruno looked like a virtual bodybuilder). If that wasn't bad enough, they even left a calling card, "R". No singular person with a vendetta would leave any evidence around and risk being caught. It had to have been an organization leaving a message, to install fear or something. For what though? He hopes to find out more at the meeting. He entered the department store, and entered the elevator to the top floor.
    ------------------------------------------------------------
He arrived at the top floor, surprised to see only Hiro. Adell let Chute out, who eagerly lept into his arms, and walked torward Hiro.

"So, anything new other than 'R'?" Adell asked, Chute purring to Adell rubbing his head.

Goldenrod City --> Goldenrod Department Store Roof

The air was fresh and new, the pleasant smell of the ocean filling her up with joy. It's been a while since she could feel nostalgia in everything she saw. She's never been to Johto, so she's been taking her time walking and enjoying the view around her. Despite what's been happening around, she wished she would take it more seriously. Although her clothing scheme radiated some depressing or serious girl, her face told everybody she was quite the clown.

Toto was floating beside her, also enjoying the view. It wasn't long until they had found the department. She entered and ogled all the supplies, wondering if anything was different. To her disappointment, nothing was different. Same as back in Sinnoh. "What a shame," she mumbled out, now heading for the roof. Her Porygon-Z startled many, not used to seeing such a strange pokemon before.

Once she reached the roof, she scanned the area and found both Hiro and another friend of his. His brown hair and white coat immediately told her that he must be a very serious and direct guy. Walking towards him, she gave a small wave at Hiro and stood beside him. Toto studied the Emolga, never have seen one before.

"Well then, greetings!" she chirps at Hiro. She then glanced at the other man. "Hello, and I have to say that your Emolga is so adorable," she complimented, wanting to gain a friend already. She used to have a fond with Unova pokemon. Most Unovian pokemon looked straight out of a circus dictionary. They were adorable, strange, cute, had unnatural abilities, and their appearance were so funny like. Then again, all pokemon are like that, but both Sinnoh and Unova pokemon seem to gain her interest, especially Bisharp and Scrafty.

Umbreon (Umbriel), Honchkrow(Omen), Steelix (Metalix), Ariados , Typhlosion (Cinder), Weavile

Streets of Goldenrod ------------> Department Store Roof.

Vance walked at a casual pace down the crowded streets of Goldenrod. He had been here many times in his life, as it was the next town over from Ecruteak, his hometown after all. To be honest, it wasn't particularly his most favorite place, he preferred to be somewhere with a little less activity but he could see it's charm to some people who preferred the faster paced life. Omen, his Honchkrow was floating lazily beside him glad to be out for some fresh air.

His taller than average height made a few people turn their heads for a few moments but for the most part people ignored him, he wasn't a very interesting looking guy after all, he was just dressed in his normal jeans and his black t-shirt with his pendant. He preferred not to be the center of attention anyways, he wasn't one for being in the limelight. Normally he would be out in the woods or the beach just relaxing with his pokemon, but there had been something that came up.

An old friend of his, Hiro, asked to meet him on top of the Goldenrod Department store, and he always kept his word to his friends. Unless it involved too much physical activity, then he would try to get out of it. This sounded urgent though so he wasn't about to break his word easily.

He approached the Goldenrod Department Store soon, he had been here many times in his life, mostly for pokeballs to catch other pokemon, but he had brought a potion or two once.

He looked up at the tall building with a sigh. He really didn't feel like climbing all those stairs, so instead he turned to his Honchkrow.

"Hey Omen, think ya can fly me up there?" He asked the Honchkrow. Omen immediately grabbed a hold of his wrist, and took off into the air. The feeling of flying was one of the best things in the world to him, it felt like all of your troubles had melted away, and all the worry in the world had been erased. If only that was the case.

The flight to the top of the store was a short one, Omen released Vance from his grip a few feet off the ground and perched himself on the railing of the roof. "Thanks." Vance nodded to Omen. The Honchkrow chirped in response and eyed the other three trainers curiously.

"Yo Hiro!" Vance greeted enthusiastically. " 'Sup man!" He looked at the other two trainers with mild interest. He briefly wondered why they were all here. Vance stretched and greeted the other two trainers. "Friends of Hiros'? " He asked them.

A girl walked in, and before he knew it, she complimented Chute. He had no idea who she was, but a compliment to his pokemon was always appreciated. Ego inflating :D. So much so, he almost didn't notice the Porygon-Z analizing his Emolga. Chute looked up, as if asking for permission to look at Porygon-Z in return, and after a quick nod, Chute leaped from his arms and 'flew' around the Polygon-Z to study it in turn.

"Thank you, though I must say, Porygon-Z are interesting. It is too bad they can only breed with Ditto." Adell probally would have bragged about his pokemon more, if a Honchcrow carrying another trainer didn't surprise him. Chute dropped immediatly torward the ground, wary of this new, imposing bird, and backed away behind Adell's leg. Adell noticed, but decided Chute was just shy of the larger bird. He decided to introduce himself. "Ya, I suppose, and the name is Adell. My shy Emolga's name is Chute, for the record."

It wasn't long until she got a reply from the strange man, who's Emolga began to curiosly study Porygon Z. "Thank you, though I must say, Porygon-Z are interesting. It is too bad they can only breed with Ditto," he responded, making her smile.

"Yes, indeed. I'm afraid I'm no good at breeding, although I did learn the basics," she admits, a bit baffled he knew about how Porygon was bred. Usually not many knew this, since Porygon wasn't as famous as other cute pokemon. Their conversation was interrupted by another trainer that came in, another male.

"Yo Hiro!, 'Sup man!" the male greeted at Hiro before turning to stare at them two. He didn't seem to have much excitement, although he was kind enough to say a few words to them. "Friends of Hiros'? " He asked, immediately getting a response from the boy beside her. There she learned his name. Adell. Not bad at all. Quite a unique name.

"Why, yes we are. In fact, I bet you came for the same reason we did," she started. Toto slowly hovered over to where the bird was. It was a surprise to find out it was another Sinnoh pokemon, just like her's. This filled her up with joy and nostalgia. "The name is Candis," she introduced herself. Before anybody else could respond, Toto suddenly came up in front of Candis and tried to greet himself. She couldn't help but let out a slight chuckle at Toto's behavior. Out of all her pokemon, he was the most social and curious one of all. "Oh, and this is Toto, my Porygon-Z," she proudly introduced.

    for him.

    I'm trash.

    Drew Mason
Gardevoir [Mary], Altaria [Mr. Puff], Milotic [Lulu], Roserade [Ms. Roro], Aggron [Tiki], and Beautifly [Soul]
Streets of Goldenrod -> Goldenrod Department Store (Roof)

Goldenrod City was bustling as ever. It was just like any other big city scattered across the world. Pollution filled the air as cars roared on, buildings shot straight towards the sky, people were looking at their watches instead of the road, and all the intersections were filled with people. Drew, a visitor at the moment, had to admit that the air was much cleaner than Lilycove City. It was a nice change, but it couldn't beat Lilycove, not in a million years, unless somehow Denny died in the middle of the road. Drew hoped that it didn't happen anytime soon.

When he entered the city he immediately began weaving in and out the gaps of the crowd that seemed to populate the city. At times he even moved along the wave of the movement of people. Drew, in all honesty, didn't want to be here. Hiro, a pen pal of his, had called upon him. At first he didn't want to go, but he couldn't find the courage to reject him, so he left the walls of his home and got on the next plane to Goldenrod.

Earlier he had seen a poster of someone very familiar and he already wanted to leave. The poster was an advertisement of the movie and it was a poster of a movie that his older brother, Daniel, was going to be in. It was obvious that it was his movie with his picture plastered on every poster. Apparently the rumor around the city was that he would be coming to Goldenrod City to promote the movie. Drew didn't want to see him; he had cut off his contact with his family when he got married to Denny and he would love to keep it that way.

He stopped and shivered at the thought of his family. He was always ignored by them and just put aside because of his siblings great achievements. And then, he just became invisible. It was lonely, very lonely, and for a long time, Drew hated himself and to some extent he still did. Denny was a godsend and he appreciated that Denny would marry someone like him.

He began walking again, heading towards his destination, one of the tallest buildings in the city, the Goldenrod Department Store. It was an odd mixture of gold, orange, yellow, purple, and grey. In Drew's opinion, the person who made the building was probably color blind. The colors just didn't mesh together and they hurt his eyes.

He walked through the sliding glass stores and really bad pop music began to enter one ear and exit the other. Drew cringed at the utter horror of the music and the loudness. He walked to the elevator and clicked the up button. He walked inside and picked his floor and just waited as the contraption crawled up each floor. There was a ding and the doors slid open and he was met with the open air.

"Well nice to meet ya Adell, Names Vance Alden. This here is Omen, my Honchkrow." He said in a friendly manner pointing to where the bird pokemon had perched. Omen squawked in response as he eyed toto suspiciously as the porygon-Z as it floated over to him, but generally ignoring it otherwise. "Nice to meet ya too Candis. And you as well Toto." He said with a chuckle as the pokemon floated between him and Candis. He patted the pokemon on the head and glanced at Chute, the emolga but didn't say anything to it.

Omen was now eyeing the smaller Emolga. It landed not far from the small electric pokemon and continued to stare at it. A few moments later it held out a wing towards the small pokemon, as if attempting to make friends with it. Despite Omen's appearance he could actually be described as a feathery teddy-bear. He didn't like others being afraid of him and would rather be friends if he had the chance.

  • Angel Bernadette Valentine
Goldenrod City Magnet Train; Dept. Store

Milotic (Molly), Kirlia (Kylie), Delcatty (Bella), Froslass (Frosty), Flygon (Buzzle) Breloom (Loomy)

She read that message a bazillion times. She was ecstatic to get it started. Even her Delcatty, Bella, is excited to start exploring. Angel Bernadette Valentine arrives at Goldenrod City in a subway, eager to meet Hiro in person. What is he like? What will he act like? What does he want her to do? A mission? Those questions keep floating in her mind every time she thinks about it.

Angel hails from Hoenn, Petalburg City was her hometown. Her long black hair was tied in a pony tail, with her bangs on her left side. She wears a short jean skirt with long white socks and black shoes. Her shirt was a bit tight, and wears a red ascot around her neck. It seemed like she went to school, but she's been out of school a long time ago.

Bella purred right next to Angel. As the train got closer to the Goldenrod station, the intercom had announced of its arrival to the city.

    "Now arriving: Goldenrod City."

Angel and Bella were the first to get off the train. She passed through a few crowds, and exited the station. With not much to carry, as well as not much to walk with, she decided to release another Pokemon to walk with to the Department Store. "Come out, Kylie."

The ball opened and quickly came out a Kirlia, nicknamed Kylie. "Kirliaaaaa!" She smiled and twirled around.

"Come, Kylie. We're going to the department store." Angel said. Bella followed next to Kylie.

The city was vibrant...and it's not even rush hour. The people walked back and forth, and past Angel and her two Pokemon. She then spotted the large, tall building on the left corner. She quickly figured it was the department store. She was told to meet Hiro there, but she was also planning to buy a few things in there in the meantime.

The doors automatically opened. She walked inside, took the elevator up to the top roof of the store, and she spotted a group of trainers at the corner of the first floor. "I think that's the group." Angel said to her Pokemon. "Hiro's probably there, as well. I'm surprised a few people have arrived before me already."

She walked towards the group of trainers, some were getting to know each other, some others were waiting on other trainers to come, or to wait for what Hiro had to say. Bella and Kylie stood there and glanced at the other Pokemon owned by the other trainers. She spotted Hiro, and waved at him. Hoping she'd get his attention.

Angel quickly assumed that these trainers are here for the same reason as hers. It was more likely a mission assignment.

    Rae Sage
Ninetales (Nana), Jolteon (Jake), Aerodactyl (Andre), Kanghashkan (Kanna), Starmie (Celia), Scizor (Sai)
    Magnet Train, Goldenrod, Johto

    "Attention, Attention."

"Mn..." He was sleeping. He was happily sleeping and did not want to be disturbed. The train shuddered and he jolted a little but didn't awaken. At his side, a yellow creature yawned, the Jolteon showing his small fangs in the motion. He smiled then, ears twitching toward the intercom as it blared.

"We are now approaching Goldenrod. I repeat, now approaching Goldenrod. Please make sure you have all your belongings before exiting the car. I repeat-"

Rae's head lolled on his neck and drooped. His chin slammed into his collarbone, waking him up with a start. When he woke up, it was the only time his eyes fully opened. Jake snickered, the Electric canine's face highly amused. Rae reached out to pat his spikes, smiling lightly. "Here already... huh Jake?" Jake made his typical noise of agreement, a mixture of a mew and a bark. It was almost a fox's cry. The Jolteon leaped from the bench with distaste, stretching his muscles as the train shuddered. He almost toppled over, causing Rae to chuckle.

"Come on now... let's go find Hiro." Jolteon barked, bounding back to his paws. He padded happily off the Magnet Train. The electricity bothered him Hiro knew. There was only so much voltage he could take after all. Rae sighed. Why had Hiro called him? He wasn't a battler, never had been. His Pokemon were only the level they were because of work. They had to be able to keep up with the ferocity of other trainer's and their "purebred" Pokemon. He could get such high and mighty people...

Oh well. He hoped he could help Hiro.

The sunshine hurt ever so slightly on his eyes. He sighed and hid his gaze. Rae smiled gently again, looking for the store. It wasn't too hard to notice. It was an oil pastel artist's failure. The guilding practically loomed overhead. Rae didn't take in the sights. Cities never interested him very much. Besides these places were loud. Jake barked and chased away a Pidgey, cackling in delight. Rae whistled. "Jake~ leave the birdies alone." He whined and returned to Gwyn's side.

Gosh it was hot. It was hot to him anyway and he disliked too much heat. It made his hand hurt, worse than cold. He didn't show it though. Letting things bother him too much was not how a breeder worked. They had to fight once in a while, but it was a different kind of fight. He made a note that the Pokemon Center's building had been renovated and entered the Department Store. Ah that was much better. Quickly, Rae entered the elevator and then went to the roof.

Oh... was he late? Oh well, sorry Hiro. Jake barked a greeting at the group in general, smiling his feline smile. Rae mimicked him and settled against a railing. He thought he recognized a girl from the train.

Adell noticed as a few more people walked in, and at the moment, no one spoke. He wondered if Hiro, the one who invited them all there, was about to say anything. He wasn't too good at reading situations like these, so he decided to remain silent. Besides, watching Chute was more interesting anyway.

Chute stared back as Omen flew closer. It almost seemed like a stareing contest would occur, until Omen held it's wing out to him. Chute looked deeper into his eyes, and noticed that Omen didn't seem to mean him any harm. Chute hopped once.....twice......three times before he was in range, and held out his paw to shake Omen's wing. Still nervious, but he supposed they could be friends, since their trainers were not enemies.

Goldenrod Department Store Roof - Goldenrod City, Johto

Before Hiro knew, members of his newly formed army started coming in by the numbers. Adell, Candis, Vance, Drew, Angel, Rae, and himself were all present and accounted for. There were others that still needed to show up, so Hiro decided to wait just a tad bit longer before he went into any information about what was going on. He nodded and greeted them as they each arrived, noticing that many of them released their Pokemon to be on display for the others. Hiro considered doing the same, but he decided to wait till everyone got here. The thing about Hiro's team was that there was no particular 'signature' Pokemon; if there was one, it would probably be his Starter, Sam, but each of his Pokemon was special in his own opinion. They had their different strengths for different situations.

Hiro nodded at Adell when he asked him about anything pertaining to R, "I'll get around to that once everyone gets here, Adell." Hiro perhaps knew Adell the most out of all the Trainers, seeing as how they were from the same region. They battled before and had exchanged contact information. Hiro was sure that there paths would cross again and here they were together. Hiro smiled as he greeted Candis, "Hey there." He knew her, but didn't know much about her. Vance came next and greeted him affectionately, "How's it going V?"

Drew appeared to be shy about the whole situation and so Hiro made eye contact with him saying, "Everyone, this is Drew from Sinnoh." Soon after, Angel came. Hiro waved her over once she waved at him. Another good friend of Hiro's, Angel and he sparred a few times before. They were competitive rivals. "This is Angel from Hoenn." Lastly, Rae, of course, who was always late, finally arrived with the group. Hiro grinned and shook his hand, "Late as usual I see? Alright everyone, we'll wait a few more minutes to give the others a chance to arrive."

Candis simply let her Toto wander around, studying every single one. He seems to have a thing for Angel, and he apparently finds Vance very interesting. The rest he seems to treat fairly well, smiling and trying to greet himself. She was surprised to find out that he attempted human speech, but failed. Candis always sneered at this; the way Toto would mimic little words. The only reason he knew this was because she would earn attention and money from others who would pass by their small spectacle. Rarely did she remember anybody, but Toto had the memory of an elephant.

Soon, another man came upon the roof of the store. What caught her attention was the fact he was bald. Usually this means they happen to have no hair...obviously. A smile erupted from her lips as she happily front flipped towards the man. Before she could contact him however, a female trainer came in right behind him. A bit shocked to see she wasn't the only girl, she quickly changed plans. Being in front of the black haired girl somehow gave her goosebumps. Something about her gave her a vibe of....jealousy. She looked very serious and as if she were very responsible. Not wanting to become an enemy, she waved at the girl and gave out the sweetest smile she could make.

"Hey," she greeted. "Happy to see I'm not the only girl here," she added, actually relieved to some extent.

Another boy soon entered. His striking appearance immediately stunned her. That red...red hair. He looked cute, but obviously way younger, so she tried to ignore him. Besides, he was glancing at the girl in front of her, meaning Candis wouldn't interest him, so she simply forgot about the red haired boy. It was then Hiro started to speak, catching her attention.

"I'll get around to that once everyone gets here, Adell," he told Adell.
"Hey there," he answered to Candis, which was a rather small response. He couldn't blame him since they barely knew much about each other.
"How's it going V?" he directed it at Vance.
"Everyone, this is Drew from Sinnoh," he introduced the bald man, noting that he was somehow left out.
"This is Angel from Hoenn," he added right after. Great. Even her name is better than her's. Oh well, life is cruel.
"Late as usual I see? Alright everyone, we'll wait a few more minutes to give the others a chance to arrive."

She remembered everybody's names except the red haired guy as he said them, not wanting to make a fool out of herself. The first thing she did after Hiro spoke was follow her Porygon Z, who hovered over to the red haired teen. His Jolteon seems to intrigue Toto, who lowered himself to be at eye level with the cute canine.

"Hey, nice to meet you. Just thought I could get to know everybody...you know, so I feel as if I belong," she started, glancing at Toto every minute so that he doesn't try anything ridiculous.

Rae yawned slowly, looking away from the girl he had been staring at with a mixture of amusement and exasperation. She was cute right? He was supposed to look at cute girls right? Eh... he was too tired to think about it. Not that he ever cared about attractiveness much. He shook Hiro's hand when offered, grinning gradually and kindly. "Sorry Hiro. You know I've never been much on timing." He laughed softly as Jake fluffed up his spikes in hello.

Rae pulled himself up to his full height, which really wasn't much, as the juggler girl came over. Wow.... she was exciting. Her every movement seemed inclined to elaborate dance. He bet that was her idea too. Rae smiled at her now in that dazed way of his. He was too tired to comment on the fact that she had been watching him stare at the other girl. If he had to guess, it would be a bit of jealousy there. He wasn't really interested in that sort of thing, so he didn't correct her.

"Hey, nice to meet you. Just thought I could get to know everybody...you know, so I feel as if I belong." Rae caught how her eyes kept glancing at her Porygon-Z warily and smiled loosely. Jake gave a polite bark the Pokemon's way, scratching behind one of his own ears with one paw. Rae smiled a little more. Jake wouldn't cause a scene. That wasn't in his nature. That was the only reason he was the one out of his Pokeball. Plus he wasn't Nana, who was just too much of an unintentional attention grabber.

Rae lifted one side of his lips and bowed slightly, carefully obscuring his useless hand. "Hiro didn't introduce you... or me really." He laughed. "My name is Rae. I'm probably the least useful person here." He had no shame in saying that; he was not someone who focused on training. "And I think you belong already Miss." He reached out toward Toto. "And don't worry about Jake, he's very mature."

Jake nodded his agreement and padded to rest himself by Candis' shoes. To him a simple "nice to meet you" was indeed in order.

Not all of the trainers were talking. Many of them stood there, quietly. Maybe they are just shy to talk. A few of them, even their Pokemon, were staring at Angel. Some were interested in what she's wearing, some were also interested in Bella. Who knew. Angel didn't care about what people think of her. Her main objective was to learn what Hiro wanted her to come in the first place.

A few minutes later, a female juggler arrived at the rooftop. She was scared. Angel glanced at the juggler as she shook with nervousness. She waved at Angel and smiled. "Hey...happy to see that I'm not the only girl here."

Angel quickly warmed up and faced the girl juggler. "Yeah, I was kinda hoping I'd see other girls here. Glad you came."

Hiro came around and started to introduce a few trainers to everyone else. "This is Angel from Hoenn." he said.

"It's Angel Bernadette, Hiro. Thanks." Angel corrected. She didn't like the fact that she is called by just her first name. She was used to be called by both names. And as it's rare, she is in love with her full name.

Bella came up to Angel and purred right next to her. Angel smiled and focused back at the juggler. "Yeah, Angel Bernadette is my name. I come from Petalburg City in Hoenn. What about you?"

But suddenly...a red-haired guy slowly came and approached both girls. To Angel, he was cute. She remembered seeing him at the Magnet Train heading to Goldenrod, but she never had any interaction with him whatsoever, nor she knew that he'd be here. Angel felt that her heart skipped a beat, especially that he had approached to her and the juggler. He had a Jolteon beside him. "Hey, nice to meet you. Just thought I could get to know everybody...you know, so I feel as if I belong."

"Nice to meet you as well." Angel replied, and smiled. He mainly focused on the juggler girl, whom Hiro hasn't introduced to the rest of the trainers yet. She seemed nice, actually, and harmless to Angel. Angel decided to glance at the other trainers waiting and/or talking, as she didn't want to make the whole meetup a bit awkward.

Toto smiled at the Jolteon, trying to do funny tricks to amaze the electric pokemon. As always, very little did he know that they were all not kids...and as Rae had said, his Jolteon was already mature.

"Hiro didn't introduce you... or me really." He laughed. "My name is Rae. I'm probably the least useful person here and I think you belong already Miss." He reached out toward Toto. "And don't worry about Jake, he's very mature."

"No, not really now that I think about it. You seem more useful than me, we need somebody with maturity, as you can tell," she pointed at herself, reminding him that she didn't give off a "mature" vibe. "My name is Candis, in case you didn't catch that. That's obviously Toto. He already made himself rather famous with the others," she spoke. Toto gave out a squeal in agreement, flying in circles around the teen boy. Before long, the Jolteon soon rested near her shoes, making her feel as if the Jolteon was glad to be around her.

"Now why would you consider yourself useless? You sure don't seem like the weak type, that's for sure," she gave her own input. He doesn't seem to be ashamed of being honest and downright forward.

No one noticed Drew, but he was use to that now. People usually didn't notice him because of his lack of presence. This had been with him for years and it wasn't like it was going to be irreversible anytime soon. However, he greatly feared being a true ghost who no one was able to see no matter how much he screamed or bothered someone. Drew shook his head wildly, why was he thinking of such things now? He won't be a living ghost, just like Denny said, he wouldn't be.

He let out a sigh, maybe he should talk to someone? Maybe he should talk to that cute red head that came in after him? Drew shook his head a bit observing the group he began talking to, especially to the two girls. They looked like they were competing for his attention. Did he really want to get in the middle of that? He observed them again before making up his mind and he began walking towards them. He gripped his ring that hung around his neck.

It's going to be okay. I have a husband.

He stopped right in front of the redhead before poking his side, "Hello."

    I don't know!, Goldenrod City

Oh man, oh man, ohmanohman. Where was he!? Zeke's eyes darted this way and that, trying to find the place he was supposed to be. Okay, okay, think! Where was he supposed to be? Goldenrod Department Store, right on the roof. Now... Where was that? He looked around again. How was he supposed to know!? Zeke ran down the street, his head moving in all directions to try and find this supposed department store. He'd been all over the city, it seemed, seeing the same thing time after time after time. What was this place? Invisible!?

Zeke had been traveling around for all of thirty minutes maybe, feeling like it'd been hours. He'd been doing too much running. He enjoyed it but lord! This whole trip had him running a lot, in fact. Zeke only had enough money to get him a plane here, really. He could take the convenient train right into the city (the one that mocked him every time he saw it). His plane had not been one way either. It had landed him somewhere in... In... What was the name of the city again? Oh, he didn't remember. Some place near a nice little city called Olivine. Since he'd gotten here he'd either been running or scrapping together his money to get a bus. Mostly running, though. It had taken a couple hours, but he'd finally made it into Goldenrod, and he was sure he was late.

The whole time he'd been here he'd been turned around. Going up one street, going down another, and all while avoiding the bustle of people and cars and distractions. He was hungry and he was tired, but he didn't have the money nor the time to stop and eat. He was almost regretting coming over here. It wasn't an easy task. The first obstacle was convincing his parents, the second was money, and the third... Getting here. His prior agreement seemed foolish now, but he knew that was just silly. Coming from the Hoenn region, Zeke was good friends with Hiro (even though he'd never seen him before or talked to him personally). Timezone differences and schedule blocks had made it impossible for the two to actually be more than a letter's distance from each other. It didn't matter, though, they still had the chance to talk a lot. It was easy for him to have a conversation with Hiro. He'd become his penpal through a class assignment, but he hadn't regretted it once. The grand majority of their letters consisted of paragraphs of the so and such and the goings on and whatever else they were talking about. Well, the letters at first. Technology allowed them to switch to e-mail. Zeke would have called him, but... Well... He was one of those teens that didn't own a cellphone.

As good of friends as they were, Zeke would have appreciated it if Hiro had provided him with a map. Luckily, though, he was provided one at the train station. Breathing heavy, Zeke took the time to look at it now. His legs, tired, forced him to the sidewalk. He leaned against the wall of a building, took a deep breath, and looked at his map for the tenth time. Okay, okay, so... Where was he? He looked around for landmarks. Seeing the in-the-air railroad for the train, he figured he was somewhere on the east side of the map, near that alley with the house in it or something. By the looks of the map, if he took a straight path he'll run into this huge blue building off by itself. This had to be the department store. It didn't really have much of a roof they could stand on, though. Maybe Hiro just made a mistake? Yeah, that had to be it. This had to be the place. Zeke folded his map back up and put it in his pocket, still breathless from the run.

His legs protested--screamed even!--but he got to his feet. Still breathing heavy, Zeke walked two steps and then took off running, flying down the street and weaving through people just as he had before. As he traveled, buildings rose and feel from his advancement. After he passed the intersection, he could see the tall rise of what he hoped was the Goldenrod Department Store. The grandiose building stood tall against the sky, bright reflections of light shining on the building's many corners. It looks dazzling, professional, and made curiosity peek. This had to be the department store. It seemed so rich and full of mystery. As if each floor held one more useful item, one more rare stone! The sight of it...! It made Zeke run faster.

This had to be it! It couldn't possibly not be! It was just... So amazing looking! As if he were coming to a theme park. When he got there, he was surprised about the bustle. There was groups of people outside of the building, standing close together and talking amongst themselves. Man, this place must have been pretty popular. Going inside, it worse than the outside, but just as spectacular in look. The floors were a well-cleaned blue and the walls were the same. Booths stood with colorful lights and attendants stood at ready attention. Just as outside, people stood in groups, but much larger ones. Their voices all collided together, all discussing something hat only they knew about. Wow, this place was hectic.

Zeke didn't care much about that though, panting, he made his way to the desk at the end of the room. Getting there, the attendant smiled at him and spoke.

"Welcome to the Global Terminal," the woman said, "is this your first time here?" Wait... What?

    "E-Excuse me?"

"Is... This your first time here, sir?" Oh... Oh Lord. Oh God, no. She wasn't saying that... Was she was saying that...? No, no, no. He'd come to far. The woman's face looked confused and concerned, her face holding a question. "Is there a problem, sir?"

"Th-This--" Oh god he was tired, "--isn't the department store?" The woman raised a brow and then smiled, amused by Zeke's mistake. It must have been common knowledge to everyone but him where this store was, obviously.

She shook her head, "No, it isn't. This is the Global Terminal, a facility where trainers and families can transfer and trade their Pokemon over long distances with ease." Oh, how convenient sounding. He would really be interested if he wasn't about to fall on the floor. "Do you... Need directions?"

"Yes, ma'am. Please," he answered, voice heavy from pants.

"Okay, sir. You go down this road until you meet the first intersection, take a right, and it's to the right of the Pokemon Center." I passed right by it!?

"Th-Thank you." Zeke trudged out of the terminal, forcing his legs to take each tired step. Just a little more... Come on. We can do it. Once outside, and with a little mental preparation, he got his legs going again. The run seemed even more lengthy than all the ones he'd have to go through combined. Each steps felt like it took five minutes to take and the stupid intersection would just come to him faster. Why did he do this? Why did he do this!? To save the entire world, that's why he did this. It sounded so silly to say and so silly to think. Zeke really didn't believe that he, Hiro, and whoever else were going to "save the world", but he didn't like what was going on with these deaths and such. He wasn't quite sure what this all would entail, but he assumed it would eventually turn out into a rally of people determined to take down "R". He could manage something like that. Still, all this effort for one little rally was ridiculous.

Taking the turn, Zeke eventually got to the Pokemon Center, he stopped next to it, hands on his knees and panting like crazy. He glanced at it, eyes tired. Ugh. Now where was the Humanmon Center? He felt like he was going to die. He looked across the street to see a building not as tall or amazing as the terminal, but not all unnoticeable. It was a gray building topped with an orange roof. Two long sheets ran down from the roof, one purple, one gold. The purple read, "GOLDENROD CITY" and the golden one followed up with, "DEPARTMENT STORE". There was... A sign? Oh, man... Oh, God... Why was he so stupid!? Didn't he pass that building like... Five or six times?

Okay, Zeke. Let's go. A few more steps. Zeke jogged to the doors of the department store which slid open gladly for his enter. As soon as he got in, he felt the air conditioning. A relieved sigh his him and his closed his eyes for a moment. Yeah... That was good. Opening them again, he went back to business, going to the counter in the middle of the store. Wares of all types were around them. All of them looking pretty useful. He could probably buy one if his legs wouldn't give out under him or anything.

"How do you get to the roof?" The nicely uniformed woman smiled at him and pointed to the elevator on the far side of the store.

"Press the top button and you'll go straight up!" Zeke nodded, gave his thank yous, and proceeded into the elevator. Once inside, he pressed the button and leaned against the far corner wall. Glad to finally be able to rest. His ride was interrupted for the most part. No one got on except for a man with a kid and ten bags on the third floor. When Rooftop Mode was achieved, he stepped out of the elevator. When he saw the other people he knew it was finally over. That's when his legs really felt like rocks.

Zeke sat down immediately on the barrier of a small, decorative landscape of flowers. They looked pretty nice.

"Sorry I'm late, guys!" Man, he couldn't have been last. He probably was. Taking a brief scan of everyone, it seemed like it was Pokemon social hour because everyone had one out. He would have reached into his pocket to join the party but... So much work! Zeke rested his elbows on his knees and put his head in both hands. Finally... A good spot to rest. He closed his eyes gratefully, getting that slightly stinging, but wholly welcome feeling of closed tired eyes.

    Man that felt good.

    Goldenrod Department Store Roof

After a while she noticed that not everybody was here. She wanted to get this over with, since there's a limit as to how long she can stay in one place. Her Toto was still communicating with the cute Jolteon, although he started to run out of things to talk about. She thought that maybe Angel would have a better chance with the teen, since she looked younger than Candis herself. It was then she realized Toto wasn't with Jolteon anymore.

"Toto...?" Candis mumbled, a bit surprised. Glancing around, she finally found him near a few flower pots by the entrance. "And would he go-" she started, thinking Toto was talking to plants until he moved aside. It was a dark skinned man, probably around her age. 'Great, another friend to make,' she told herself. He seemed different from the rest. Everybody was....in time and not in any worry. However, this guy was. Maybe he wanted to rest. Maybe a pokemon of her's could help him? She could summon out Jojo...but she didn't want anybody to see him. She wanted to save him for a surprise for everybody to see. Everybody probably thinks she has "funny" pokemon thanks to Toto. Already she can picture somebody imagining her with an Ambipom.

Walking over to where Toto was, she hesitated in her greeting. Maybe it wasn't such a good idea to start a conversation with a tired individual. Instead, she wanted to make him feel better. Going through her pockets, she finds a few bucks left over. Maybe he would want water of some sort. Thinking that was the case, she let Toto snatch the money and place it by him. Letting Toto study the newcomer, she walks over to stand beside Vance. All Candis can do now is stop the socializing and wait for Hiro to make his announcement, if he was even going to do one. Hopefully that guy that was late was the last of them, but who knows?

My... he sure felt popular. It certainly wasn't a new sensation; it had happened in classes before. He hadn't quite enjoyed it though... He didn't like it much now if you wanted to know. But if people were interested, they were interested. He wasn't going to panic and scream over it. That would be just rude. He opened his mouth to answer Candis, only to see she had drifted away toward something else. Rae was slightly relieved by this, not because of Candis herself, but for her question.

He wasn't sure how to explain his feelings to her. He felt useless... because what they needed here was warriors, or at least strong spirited people to handle investigating deaths. None of those things sounded much like his talent. Well maybe he was there to disarm people. He could kind of do that... unless it got to be a fistfight. Now that was impossible. Ah well, he was going to have to face this sort of thing eventually. He smiled lightly at Angel Bernadette. That name was nice, rather unusual, but pleasant all the same.

Just then, someone poked him in the arm. He turned to see a bald man, young and fidgeting with the ring around his neck, observing him. Rae smiled kindly. He should have been concerned that he hadn't felt the other's presence there until just that moment but that may have just been who he was.Jake went to sniff the man's shoes and then his free hand. Jake found him interesting. That was good but it was likely rather annoying.

"Jake," he said softly, causing the Jolteon to pad back over to his side and stare with wide black eyes at the other male.

Satisfied, Rae looked at the newcomer with clear pleasure. "Hello~" he greeted. It was best to be friendly. People were easier to get along with if you were. "You're... Drew right?" He scratched the back of his head lightly. "You feel like that's your name... and I don't think anyone else fits it. Sorry I took so long to respond. That was rude of me. My name is Rae and it's a pleasure to meet you." He bowed slightly before holding out his hand for him to shake. He was just going to have to keep his left in his pocket wouldn't he?
