11 Pokemons off the 7G have been revealed already.
What's your opinion on the 7G so far? Do you like it?

Personally, I absolutely love it. The designs are great (even Yungoos), and I really can't wait to discover their evolutions and some new designs!
I really feel like the designs look like the ones of the first 3 gens.

I've noticed that the most common colors of the Pokemon thus far are yellow-orange, black, and brown, so pretty earthy colors. Hopefully we'll get some more colorful Pokemon.

I didn't notice that before, you're right! But the region being based on Hawaii, I think there will be some colourful Pokemons, maybe a couple ones based on the tropical fauna?

I'm liking it so far. I do agree we need some more variety in colour, not quite getting that tropical islands vibe from what we've seen so far.

Although I'm interested to see what the inanimate or more quirky designs will be like. (I'm looking out for my Malamar of 7th gen. :P) So far it seems heavily animal based but then again that's probably not unusual for this stage of the revealing process. (X&Y started out with mainly animal Pokemon too I think)

Like Angie said, I'm excited about this generation so far. Most of the new Pokemon designs (no wait, ALL OF THEM) so far have never let me down, and stays true to the supposed theme of more simpler designs while still having a fun concept (aka the endangered animals connection) that brings up a lot of discussion.

I'm remaining hopeful that these games will turn out to be a great entry into the franchise.

All of the newly revealed Pokemon have really impressed me and I'm looking forward to seeing their evolutions. At this point there is usually one or two I'm not so keen on. But even from just seeing the starter Bug, Rodent and Bird Pokemon I'm content with the designs! Not only that but there are other aspects too such as the visuals, attention to detail and characters which have all been positive for me. Lillie is mysterious yet I love her style, Hau seems like an awesome rival, and then you have Professor Kukui who will probably become my favourite Regional Professor. I am disappointed in the protagonist designs, other than that though I'm finding it really difficult to fault these games based on what we've seen.

Storyline wise we still don't know much at all, that's where I'm a little bit anxious about how the storyline will play out. X/Y was a disappointment due to that aspect and the lack of character progression for me. I am optimistic though in reading so many different theories about space and alchemy, both of which could make for some fantastic storylines if done correctly. With Sun & Moon being the titles you would generally think that is what the theme will be focused around. Astronomy is a fascinating subject for me, so a theme relevant to that would be perfect.

    tl;dr - great so far!

I think generation 7 is going to be fantastic. How fantastic? I think it is going to be so fantastic that when I saw previews for the game and read all the current information known about the game... it made me impulsively buy a 3DS.
I have never owned a 3DS and I wasn't impressed with X&Y's release enough to go out and buy a 3DS. However the little I've seen of Sun & Moon just absolutely blew me away, and I just knew that I had to play this game and it was the push I needed to actually convince me to buy a 3DS.
So yes, I am super impressed with what I have seen so far of generation 7, and I really do think it will only get better from here.

I still need more, lol. I don't think it'll be my favorite gen, so far 3 and 6 have a good hold on it design wise. I'm flip flop on the starters, I disliked them, liked them, disliked them, Litten still doesn't seem like a Pokemon to.
I can get used to Iwanko and Nekoala, Grubbin is alright.
Dislike Yungoos, not a huge fan of Solgaleo too.
Lunaala and Pikipek are the ones I really like.
Gear Diance I like, though doesn't seem like Gen 7 really.

I'm a fan of what we've seen so far.
I agree that they new Pokemon designs are really good. And even with all the hate I actually really like Yungoos, Ill probably have one in my team in the early routes.

I like the concept of being able to see trainers in battle to see how big pokemon are in correlation to a human, however it hasn't yet been shown if Pokemon are actually to scale, and how tall is the trainer.
(Fun Fact: Did you know Furret is taller than Charizard?)

Spoiler for anyone who didn't watch the Treehouse event at E3
    Spoiler:

Looking forward to getting more info on the cover legendaries "Phases" and how exactly getting Magearna via QR code is going to work. Is it going to be a collect a code from your local gameshop ( I personally hate these events cause my country seems to get like 1 code a store ), will it come with the games, just to show you how the QR system works?

In regards to the 7th gen Pokémon, I dunno how I feel just yet. The starters have grown on me, but I still think Popplio needs bigger ears... Aside from the woodpecker (which is a bird so of course it's gonna be cute) I'm not really digging the E3 Pokémon. The mongoose/marten has Donald Trump's toupee for some reason doesn't appeal to me, and the bug just seems incredibly plain to me. But I will admit, the bug has a good opportunity to evolve into something neat (read: a may bug) so I'll keep my eyes peeled.

I like how even the standard Pokémon seem to have some sort of "backstory" to them--such as the mongoose/marten being brought in from another region to keep a certain other Pokémon's population under control--but that makes me wonder just how many new Pokémon will be in this region. There can't be a lot if they all have such backstories, right? I think XY had way too many old Pokémon, effectively overshadowing what few new ones there actually were. I didn't care for that, and I'd rather it not happen again.

But on the other hand, I like the theme of "ecosystem balance" (oh ho ho, there's that "e" word again!) they've got going on--not just conservation, because as we know now there are issues of overpopulation in Alola in addition to the Pokémon we know are based on endangered/extinct animals. I wonder just how far they'll take it (again posing the question of just how many new Pokémon there'll be).

So it's still pretty early for me to really have an opinion on gen 7's Pokémon. It's not fair to judge a small handful of Pokémon against the 100+ of any non-gen 6 generation. The stuff gen 7's got going on could turn out really nicely or be handled poorly at this rate; it's a complete toss-up as to which way it will go.
