Preface:
This story serves as sequel to Pokémon X & Y, incorporating some elements from the XYZ anime, some from X & Y themselves, as well as some new elements.
Plot:
Two years have gone by since legendary Kalos trainers Calem and Serena (aided by their friends Tierno, Trevor and Shauna, as well as the Kalos Gym Leaders, Elite Four Members, Champion Diantha and Professor Sycamore) thwarted Team Flare's evil plans. Their plans involved harnessing the powers of the Legendary Pokémon Xerneas and Yveltal to awaken the ultimate weapon in Geosenge Town and use it to create a "beautiful and better world".
It is believed that Team Flare's boss, Lysandre, was killed in the explosion at Lysandre's Labs, which is what led to the disbandment and apparent defeat of Team Flare. Aliana, Bryony, Celosia and Mable were arrested on the spot by International Police officer Looker, whereas Xerosic was nowhere to be found. Looker reassured everyone that he would find Xerosic, and offered frequent updates to the people of Kalos shortly after finalizing the arrests of the other Team Flare members.
While Kalos was relatively peaceful since then, things have started to go awry after approaching the two year point since the events that took place. Calem and Serena have gone missing, as has Champion Diantha. Looker is no longer providing updates, thus his current whereabouts are unknown. This is all unknown to the regular citizens of Kalos because if word got out into the general populace of these disappearances, it would cause pandemonium, and possibly push the region to a civil war. As a result, only Tierno, Trevor, Shauna, the Kalos Gym Leaders, and Kalos Elite Four are aware of the disappearances. Tierno, Trevor and Shauna are investigating reports that there exists a third Pokémon tied to Xerneas and Yveltal. They believe that whoever is behind the disappearances may try to use this third Pokémon for Team Flare's original plans. There have been tiny, suspicious green being popping up on various objects, such as trees, which are believed to be linked to this possible third Pokémon.
With Looker's absence, as well as the disappearance of Calem, Serena and Champion Diantha, the Kalos police were spread very thin. This led to a break in at the prison where the former Team Flare commanders were being held. They all managed to escape, and it is widely believed that someone else is responsible for the break ins and disappearances, likely planning to revive Team Flare and continue their plans. This news did not get a lot of major coverage, as the police tried covering it up. As a result, people are aware of break ins at a Kalos prison, but do not know that it was the former Team Flare commanders who escaped.
Professor Sycamore has decided to enlist the help of aspiring young trainers, much like he did two years prior with Calem, Serena and their friends. He has sent numerous messages on TVs, newspapers, the Internet, billboards, and other forms of communications. While he does not state anything about Team Flare in his message, he does say that he will offer the "opportunity of a lifetime to embark on a journey that Calem and Serena would be proud of".
This is where YOU come into play. Sycamore will give you a Starter Pokémon (Froakie, Fennekin, Chespin, Squirtle, Charmander, Bulbasaur, Mudkip, Torchic, Treecko), Poké Balls, a Pokédex. We will all meet him at his lab in Lumiose City. He will also fill everyone in on the disappearances, break ins and other mysterious things that have been going on, though he urges the trainers to keep this information to themselves. He also says that the trainers are encouraged to fight in the 8 Kalos Gyms and then challenge the Kalos League.
Rules:
1. All established Pokécommunity rules must be followed.
2. No bunnying, unless you have permission from that person.
3. Try not to be too unreasonably powerful, particularly early on. I won't be strict on moves learned/evolution, however.
4. Try to be active! The RPG won't make much progress if people tend to be inactive. If you are going to be inactive for a period of time, please notify us ahead of time so that we can plan accordingly.
If you have more than one character, please don't ignore some of them.
5. Generally, we will be within close proximity to each other, so while some of us may be in Cyllage City, others could be in the Connecting Cave. It does NOT mean some of us are in Shalour City, while others are in Snowbelle City.
6. The RPG is PG rated, so keep that in mind. Romantic moments are definitely allowed (for example, my characters are in love) and cursing should be very limited.
7. Mega Evolution is only allowed starting in Shalour City, just like X & Y. You can use Megas for any that were introduced in XY & ORAS. Like the games and anime, only one Mega Evolution can happen per battle on each team.
The Gyms and Gym Leaders are the same from X & Y and appear in the same order, but feel free to give the leaders other Pokémon from what was used in the games or anime (but be reasonable). Same goes for the Elite Four. From Korrina onwards, feel free to give them a Mega Evolution if you choose to. Also, the Kalos League will run just like the anime (and then the winner will have the option to fight the Elite Four).
Team Neo Flare will make small appearances near the beginning of the story, but this will ramp up significantly later on.
You are allowed to create as many characters as you want. They could be total strangers, close friends, or whatever. Just be sure to manage all of them. Also, they don't have to challenge the gyms. They could just be someone who just wants to travel Kalos.

Name: Zach Walker Age: 16 Gender: Male Appearance: He is a white guy of average height for his age. He has dark brown/black hair combed back, as well as brown eyes and brown eyebrows. He is somewhat muscular, but not too much considering he is only 16.
As far as clothes go, he will start his journey with an orange-ish tank top that has symbols from Goku's gi on it. He also wears blue jeans with no rips or chains on them. He wraps a black belt around his jeans, which will be used to hold his Poké Balls. He also wears plain white sneakers. He doesn't like wearing hats, or any accessories such as necklaces or rings. He does wear a watch on his left hand though.
He might change his outfit throughout the course of the RPG, but this is what he is starting off with. Personality: Zach tends to be outgoing and sociable around people, even those he just met. That being said, he does act differently when Adrianna is present. Though he has a big crush on her, he does get embarrassed when she mentions it publicly, and would also tend to deny it. Considering how he is a teenager, he does tend to flirt with other girls that he finds attractive, although he makes sure to do this when Adrianna is not around. Ironically, he gets frustrated when she talks to other guys (although she tends not to flirt with other guys).
He is a fierce competitor and loves winning. He isn't great at taking losses well and while he doesn't usually cry, he does get angry. Adrianna is usually the one to calm him down though. Hometown: Lumiose City History: He was born in Kiloude City and has a 21 year old sister named Sophia. His parents worked at the Battle Maison, assisting the Chatelaines in their work. Ultimately, his parents got framed for a scandal that broke out in the Battle Maison, involving money. They didn't steal anything, but the people who did framed his parents. Though his parents were quickly proven innocent, they lost trust in the Battle Maison and decided to quit, and move to a new location. This happened when Zach was only 5 years old. His family decided to start a restaurant chain in Lumiose City called Le Walker (Walker is their last name and it fits with the naming scheme of most Lumiose Restaurants).
Business was slow at first because it was a new place, but word got out that the head chef (Zach's dad) was an exceptional chef after Elite Four member Siebold tried their food (this happened one year after the restaurant opened, so Zach was 6 years old). His food is well-liked because it was previously only consumed by residents of Kiloude City, so it is rare and something new to most of Kalos. This caused a big influx in popularity for the restaurant, which has still stuck.
Shortly after that event, a clothing store named Hepburn Boutique (which was run next door and also doubles as a nail/hair salon) decided to have dinner at Le Walker one day. This boutique is run by Adrianna's family. When the store's owners (Adrianna's parents) came to Le Walker for dinner with Adrianna, Zach, who was busboy for the restaurant at the time, was starstruck when he saw her. They were both 7 years old at this point. It was like love at first sight. He immediately walked over to her and introduced himself. They didn't spend too much time talking because he had a lot of work to do that day, but he did always glance over at her when he got the chance, and she even glanced back. Ultimately, Adrianna's family being regulars at the restaurant, which gave them even more time to talk. He was even invited to visit her family's boutique and he has spent plenty of time with Adrianna. They developed a bond and as they got older, that bond became serious.
He was quick to decide to respond to Sycamore's message, and immediately had asked Adrianna if she'd be willing to accompany him on a journey. Though he likes to hide his love in public, he was sure this journey would strengthen their bond. Also, he wanted to become a great trainer like Calem. Starter: Froakie Other: Has a big crush on Adrianna, but he is sometimes shy about it.
Name: Adrianna Hepburn Age: 16 Gender: Female Appearance: Adrianna is a beautiful white skinned girl with long brown hair that reaches past her shoulders. She has brown eyebrows and brown eyes. She has average height for age and is a little bit shorter than Zach. She likes to take care of her appearance, spending a lot of time in the bathroom, worrying about her hair, makeup and other things.
As far as clothes go, she has a red crop top and, like Zach, also wears blue jeans. She wraps a white belt around her jeans though, which is also going to be used to hold her Poké Balls. She also wears black sneakers and a pink/silver watch.
She does have a calm and caring side to her. If Adrianna sees that Zach or any of their friends are in a bad mood, she will always try to cheer them up. Despite this, Adrianna does have her own fears. She hates being left alone and will always want to be with someone and it is usually Zach, who she tends to view as her knight in shining armor, even when she's the one comforting him.
Adrianna is always focused on her looks because she wants to look as attractive as possible, which certainly caught Zach's attention. She doesn't like not being the most attractive girl in a group and does get jealous of other women very easily. Hometown: Lumiose City History: Adrianna is a big city girl. Her family is from Lumiose City and they opened up Hepburn Boutique before she was even born. Unlike Zach, she is an only child. She always did some minor help around the boutique when she was younger, but she started doing real work, like being a nail or hair stylist for customers. She really enjoyed doing this and started it shortly before Calem and Serena saved Kalos.
When her family visited Le Walker, she met Zach, but at first she thought he was just some goofy kid. As the dinner progressed, she noticed that he always tried to help her, which is something she appreciated because she loves being pampered. Ultimately, she developed a bond with him and has invited him to her family's boutique numerous times. She always wanted to do his nails and hair, but he is quick to decline. Over time, they got closer and even started developing feelings for each other. She is very open about her feelings for Zach, both privately and even in public. She doesn't want anyone to take "her man",
When she heard of the news that Sycamore was seeking new trainers for a journey, she immediately contacted Zach, who was already on his way to see her at the time with the news. It was a quick decision for them to decide to travel together. Adrianna hoped that a journey of the two of them would cause Zach to be more open about his love for Adrianna and she also wanted to follow in the footsteps of Serena. Starter: Fennekin Other: Has a big crush on Zach, and she is very open about it.
So we're only allowed to choose the Kalos starters? I can understand it from a narrative standpoint, but in practice, it means a lot of people are going to have the same Pokémon for a while after starting.

Hmm, yeah. I see your point. Originally, I was going to have it so we got the Kalos starters on our first visit and then the Kanto starters on our second visit, but I think I'll make it so that Sycamore hands out Kalos and Kanto on the first visit. Also, I'll add in Hoenn starters as well so that all 3 regions that have starters with final evolved Megas can happen in this RPG. Can only accept one per character though.

As a result of this, Adaline and her sister rarely see their father and have a lackluster relationship with him. However, they are very close with their mother, Lydia. Anastasia began her pokemon journey a few years before her sister and has since traveled to the Hoenn region where she is pursuing her dream of becoming a top pokemon coordinator. Adaline has her own goals, she's determined to become a powerful pokemon trainer, and dreams of one day challenging Diantha.

History
Jezebel Pryce was born in Cyllage City and lived there for most of her life. She idolized Grant, the local gym leader, and she loved to ride her bike everywhere. She lived happily with her mother and father, despite the fact that her dad always seemed to be gone for work. Jezebel didn't know what her father did for a living, but she hardly cared anyway. However, when she was sixteen, Team Flare was brought down and her father, Aaron, was revealed to have been a member (She had to get the hair from somewhere) and arrested. With her and her mother suddenly on their own, they decided to move to Jezebel's grandparent's house (on her mother's side, of course) in Snowbelle. It was hard for Jezebel to cope with leaving her friends, but she conceded that it was for the best that they leave. The first few weeks in her new home were difficult. She didn't know anybody, it was cold, she suddenly didn't have a father, and she couldn't even ride a bike for most of the year. Her mother had become a far more quiet and shy person after losing her husband so suddenly as well as learning that he had been lying to her for years. Nevertheless, Jezebel was eventually able to make some friends in Snowbelle, and she also picked up snowboarding as a hobby, learning the basics quickly. As the weeks went on, Jezebel started to fit in more and more. She had friends, she had discovered a new passion, and her mom was starting to talk more. She finally felt as though everything was alright again.
More recently, she began seeing some of Professor Sycamore's advertisements around the place. The prospect of a Pokémon journey excited her, as some of her friends had Pokémon and some of them had even gone out and gotten Gym badges. With this in mind, and with the approval of her family, she bid TTFN to her friends and set out for Lumiose.

Josh is of average height for his age, standing at five feet eleven inches, and is not excessively skinny, though he has low muscle tone. His skin is rather pale, but not to the point where he appears unhealthy. Josh's black hair is thick and layered, and, even though he does not intentionally style it, his loose curls often take on a natural, windswept look. His wide, calming eyes are a deep brown color.
Josh is not one to fret over fashion choices, but he does like to appear somewhat well kept. He dons a loose-fitting, white v-neck tee shirt and a pair of worn bluejeans, slightly ripped from years of overuse. In preparation for colder weather, he ties an itchy flannel, which has a blue and black tartan pattern, around his waist. On his feet, Josh wears a pair of gray tennis shoes.
Personality:
Although Josh tries to remain cool and level-headed, he often fails to do so, revealing his anxious and flighty disposition. He becomes uncomfortable in situations of extreme pressure, which sometimes leads to rash decision making. Despite this, he is gentle and generally friendly. Although he becomes flustered and frustrated easily, he is never one to get truly angry. Josh is fun-loving and adventurous, and always eager to experience new things.

History:
Josh was raised on a family farm in Dendemille Town and had a middle class upbringing. His family grew and harvested various berries that were capable of growing in the chilly north of the region and would ship them to other parts of Kalos, including Lumiose City and the berry fields near Camphrier Town. As a child, Josh would often join his father and the family Tauros on these deliveries, which cultivated his love for traveling and seeing parts of the world outside of his hometown. He enjoyed playing with the wild Pokémon that inhabited the wilderness surrounding Dendemille Town and would frequently explore the nearby Frost Cavern, in hopes of finding small treasures he could collect. As he grew older, Josh began to show an obvious interest in leaving on a journey, much to his parent's dismay. They had hoped that he would lend a hand in tending to the farm and had secretly wished it would be his career of choice. When Josh proposed the idea of leaving home, he was immediately met with rejection. Through many arguments, Josh and his parents were able to come to the compromise that should he return home before the end of the year, he would stay in Dendemille to work for the family business.

Josh doesn't particularly enjoy battling and is far more interested in traveling. He is intrigued by the idea of Gym battles, but isn't sure what path he would like to take yet.
Appearance: Standing at 5'10, lean, light skinned and with long, rather messy white hair and sharp blue eyes.
Normally wears a white windbreaker, a blue t-shirt with a white pokeball symbol, blue jeans with a belt and black sneakers. He also has blue fingerless gloves and a guitar pick necklace. He likes using cool colors and tries to keep it simple.
Personality: Laid back, rather friendly if somewhat reserved, Oliver is a lot nicer than his somewhat aloof front suggests. Very curious and keen on details, he has a bit of a taste for mysteries, and is very clever, even if he likes jumping into danger sometimes. However, he is rather awkward, and has a hard time getting hints from other people. Also loves music and to swim.
Hometown: Santalune City
History: Coming from Santalune, son of a popular reporter/writer Jason Pines, Oliver has a brother 6 years older, Cedric, and his mother, painter Willow. He is very close to them, even if he is bad at showing it with his words. Formerly a troublesome, way too nosy kid, he was always found either reading, swimming, playing some instrument or getting somewhere he wasn't supposed to be. With whatever friends he had, he was always getting into one mess or project or another. As he grew up, he tried to be as helpful as he could be to make up for what he got his parents into in the past. Seeing the news of people escaping prison, the people that weren't seen and Sycamore's idea pushed him forward, to join in, travel and to get to the bottom of this. We have a mystery on our hands.

Appearance: Standing at five feet and five inches Dustin sports a dark olive complexion and curly, messy black hair. His clothing is abundant with pockets, from his massive orange jacket to his cargo pants to his oversized backpack. Dustin is over prepared by nature and the shapes of Dustin's many utilities can be seen bulging under his jacket. His belt is also usually adorned with items like repels and potions that might be needed on a moment's notice. Lastly, Dustin has a collection of themed baseball hats and beanies which he switches between often. The hats and beanies range from sports logos to faces of iconic Pokemon.
Personality: Dustin is a strong believer in Murphy's Law, "things will go wrong in any given situation, if you give them a chance," or as most put it, "whatever can go wrong, will go wrong." Dustin says the quote to himself whenever he encounters a sticky situation but he also prepares for it. Even the most dedicated explorers and campers would envy Dustin's seemingly bottomless supply of gear, with spares to boot. Dustin might come off as slightly pessimistic but under that shallow exterior is a practical young man with great enthusiasm for the world around him. Dustin is creative and resourceful, although he can be overly eager to go out of his way to take the unorthodox approach. He is also a big picture person and can have trouble keeping up with the minute details and is convinced that he has rotten luck. Finally, he is a lover of nature including the Pokemon and the flora that fill their habitats.
History: Dustin's family is comprised of nature lovers and campers. From the earliest days of his life every weekend the family could get away they would go into the mountains or by the beach to see what their home had in store. Dustin is the youngest of four siblings by a fair margin and so has been on the receiving end of trivia, survival tips and everything else his entire life. Dustin's enjoyed being under so many people's wings but he is ready to set out on his own. While he has never had a Pokemon of his own before he has used the Pokemon of family members in various ways, in particular Dustin had a close bond with his grandfather's Druddigon and the two would go on hikes and walks together almost daily.
When it came time to set out on Dustin's journey he decided to leave Druddigon behind despite his grandfather offering to lend him to Dustin. Dustin has decided that it is time for him to blaze his own path and create something of his own, without the help of his close family. Although, Dustin will be counting the days before he can see Druddigon and his family again.

Buried deep within him is a spark of good emotions happiness and love. He is cool headed and is slow to get angry. If your angry nobody trusts you. But when he has an outburst it is bad. Anyone within five feet gets a punch in the gut. When he is angry he has zero self control this is also true when around gold. He will steal it.

History: He started like any other child. He was born, he was soft, he loved, and he was loved. But then one night when he was five back when he lived in Snowbelle his parents died. They had won a trip to Alola by boat, the S.S. Ann but halfway to Alola it sunk. When he received the news of his parents death, he cried for two weeks
The police took him to a foster home of some sort in lumiose. He was picked on for his emotions and he began to hide them. Soon he ran away to an alley. When he ran away he was only six. In the back alleys of lumiose city he was adopted by a gang of thieves. They were led by a man named Ignazio Lupus whose Pokemon is lycanroc. They gave him food and water and the scar on his left cheek. Eight years later he became master thief.
