Gotta steal 'em all!

Play through the original Ruby/Sapphire story with a twist--you can steal trainers' Pokmon.
This project was made using the the pokeruby decompilation project, and its source code can be found here: https://github.com/huderlem/pokeruby-thief

Rules:
1. Poke Balls, Great Balls, and Ultra Balls are now named Thief Balls, Robber Balls, and Burglar Balls.
2. You can capture trainers' Pokmon using those balls. (Stealing is not allowed in Double Battles.)
3. You cannot capture wild Pokmon.
4. Your Pokmon do not gain experience.

I kind of like the idea of your Pokemon not actually earning XP, so you need to rely on constantly catching stronger and stronger Pokemon from the trainers you face in order to progress.

This is surprisingly clever! I love this idea

This game is fun, but it would be more fun if Pokemon wouldn't act like trade Pokemon. It's tough enough to beat normally with no exp gains, but I have found it impossible to beat when my Pokemon always loaf around or disobey because i caught them from another trainer.
I didn't actually realize this happened (never played through the game myself). I can put out a fix for this in a couple days.

^Its really possible to beat the game just as I also beat the game as well. Its pretty fun challenging hack on the eariler half until later it gets way easier as catching gets easier except for Steven's metagross.
Do you have any suggestions for improving the second half of the game?

I think:
Spoiler:

- Increasing the price of ultra/great balls (so that player will have more pressure of having limited chance).
- decrease the capture rate of fully evolved mons
- One pokemon can be captured per battle (that will make player think which to capture especially against gym leader)
- Pokemon die instead of faint
- If player loses a battle then the game's over or the game starts from save point (orelse this give advantage to repeat capture same strong trainer pokemon.
- remove master ball

If you can change even more then:

- Change major trainer pokemon battle teams and expand more using gen1/2. Also variety custom movesets if possible.
- rearrange trainers locations
- Set style battle (since the game dont allows exp)

Personally like the ideas pitched across here, especially if it is provided as a separate patch.
Track Number 2 of my debut Mixtape, Venting Session Vol.1:

A lot of emotions, thought and a bit of nostalgia went into the making of this particular track on the Mixtape.
