Triforce, Ganon and Master Sword? They're three major points that the Zelda series is famous for. I can understand Ganon and the Master Sword, but the Triforce?
I'm pretty sure that the Wind Waker didn't have the triforce either. The Locomo sword counts as the master sword(since it is just as good and effective), and Ganon was overused. They just tried to give it a new feel, unlike pokemon. What's so wrong with that?
Actually, considering the Master Sword is currently at the bottom of the ocean inside of Ganon's forehead, I don't think seeing them would be anything short of a paradox. But I would like to know why Malladus wouldn't go for the ultimate power. Actually, that would be a legit reason for taking Zelda's body. So he could get her third of the Triforce. That's what I was expecting.
I feel bad for anyone who hasn't beaten this game. It's good. (b")b
Considering it can stand all of that pressure of course, but that isn't the point. It doesn't have to be the master sword to be portrayed as the master sword of a current game. It is still the best sword that can only be obtained late in the game, and it has a lot of other perks, such as not needing to find tears in order to take the phantom body.
He could just be ignorant of the triforce, but I don't really know since I didn't focus much on the story. He needed a host body first and foremost, so he took Zelda because(OMG what a surprise) only her body could 'support' him. Until he took that leprechaun's body of course.
But I thought Hyrule was built around the legend of the Triforce and heroes in green tunics. Why after trillions of years forget the Triforce now? I understand Malladus not knowing, but Cole and Bryne, not so much.
Since there aren't many, if any, hints at Hyrule, everyone probably passed it off as a myth. Was this really Hyrule? Because I thought PH/ST revolved around a completely new region. :/
Cole is an idiot, just like every other lackey. Byrne was a good guy(I think) before Malladus got resurrected so I don't think he would tell them. It could just be that Cole cared more about reviving him first and everything else second.
