Well, it really depends on what classes we take. I'm doing Radio Journalism (a second year course, but we get to choose one second year one in first year), which is basically doing what a journalist would do, getting contacts and such, our tutors assume that we'll probably get contacts from there... then, iirc, if in third year you have over 70% as your overall mark so far, then you can choose the work experience class which is just getting experience in the media and being graded on that. There's also something else in third year, whoever gets the top marks overall out of everyone doing (I think only for broadcasting, but I'm doing both, so it's fine) either broadcasting and journalism gets an internship (I think) at a TV station. There's also a radio station at the uni which actually broadcasts, so there's also that option to learn and such. But yeah after that if we're really good then our lecturers/tutors will recommend us to people in the media, if not, then yeah, like getting a normal job. XD;
