The film screenings part would be good. :D

Um. We started about 20th February.. so yeah somehow that equates to 8 weeks. Though then again, there's the mid-semester break which confused most of us since it was all different times. But I have 13 weeks in total so... I finish about mid-June, which is also when my only exam is I think.

Yeah our course is hands-on, too.. so we don't really have any exams.. just crazy amounts of final projects..

;_; I'm sure you have already started to realize.. in courses like this.. you don't say "Oh ****, this assignment is due tomorrow" "Yeah you're screwed"

You said.. "Oh ****, this assignment is due a week from now" and someone will say to you "Yeah you're screwed" :/

Really? Ours is like.. haha.. we had this whole year to do this group film.. come up with a concept.. storyboard.. revise the storyboards for like 10 weeks.. then do design packs.. test animation.. then layouts, animation, cleanup, colour scripting, cell painting, and compositing and the whole schebang.
Makes sense though cause it'll take like 3 full days (like 12-hour days) to do 12 seconds of animation and our film is about 3 minutes 40 seconds long.

Pre production takes crazy long. You can easily spend a weekend nonstop with limited sleep putting together just 50 storyboards.

Our film has gone through crazy changes.. it was a love story between a businessman and a cloud-lady.. then it was a writer suffering writer's block.. then about a writer that travels around in a cloud-house that he creates.. and now lastly it's about a child who creates cloud-creatures using his typewriter and wants to create the "perfect creature" by copying pictures in a book but then learns that he has to use his own creativity to create something successful.. it's a playful film, I think.

What's a cr stand for over there?

Yeah, a year sounds necessary. XD; Though I dunno, I don't think animation is done at my uni, since it's 3 years for every course unless you want a major, or that might just be Australia in general.

Cr = Credit. Which is 60-69% I think. XD;

Yeah ours is 4 years with Internship in the summer of 3rd and 4th year..

Oooohhh so basically a pass for it, right? I think you'd definitely pass. You're smart enough for it.

Mhm. Since I think you need to have a CR grade overall for everything to graduate. It's complicated trying to understand it though. XD;

Ooh that looks awesome. Sucks if you spent a lot of time working on one part and then it got cut though :(

It always happens. Especially since our story got reworked so much. We ended up like tossing basically 2 months work.. but at the same time without those 2 months we wouldn't be where we are now.

A year can either feel long or short. You think about the past a lot. Do you feel like it was super long ago? Or was it just yesterday? Time seems to be relative..

No I get it. Ours is kinda like that only we don't have CR.. it's just... passing grade for us.

So Dukey has been here 2 whole years now guys, so let's congratulate him on his tolerance stayability! lolwut.
Anyway, I gotta say well done on 2 years here bro, it's crazy when I think about it, you've been here double the length I have yet we've become so close but in the past few months. There's actually a really weird dream I had recently which I intentionally didn't tell you about so I could save it for this. I think we had been on Skype one night and I went to sleep after talking to you. Proceeded our conversation was a very odd dream... We were both in America for some odd reason. We had no money and we had no way of getting home yet, we didn't have a care in the world. We decided we'd hitch out to New Jersey, we thumbed our way onto some random truck with a really strange man. Anyway, he wasn't much of a talker but for some odd reason we tried to talk to him in southern accents, we really sucked at it. Like seriously, it'd be like Borey trying to do an Irish accent that's how bad it was. But anyway, he ignored us. Once we got to New Jersey, he threw us off the truck and started saying stuff like "If you ever try to pretend you're from around here again *insert threats here*" and we both felt extremely embarrased and that feeling of carelessness went away, I think I woke up after that but it was like, 2 weeks ago so I'm a little off on the details.
Annnyyway, back on track. Sam, who else would not only tolerate my ramblings on skype but also have the class to join in on the singing. I think we made Emma cry with laughter on more than one occasion, and most likely made Shivvi quite ashamed to call us friends XD
Whether it was Don't Stop Believing or The Barney Song you were down for it, Personally I think our Lady Gaga covers were the best, or the occasional "What a catch" that would pop out.
*cough* Not sure if you remember this but, do you recall what type of slave you claimed me to be? Remember that? Yeeeaaah you do, I don't want to repeat such vile imagery. That's when I found out you were sick and twisted. But it's okay, your graphics are sick too.
We will finish this PC style by the way, so long as we recover everything. It was sexy, I think it was totally a display of our personalities too.

Basically Sam, you're one of the best friends I have here on PC and interent or not, our friendship means a lot to me.
