Pit Bulls are illegal to buy in this area. It's sorta strange, the Council just wanted it to be safer

Sadly I've lost hope of many pet owners doing much of anything to nurture their pets with any sense of affection more than just trying to bulk them and giving them more excuse to act like wild, violent animals.

It sickens me because I've had to deal with various situations where dog owners treat their pets cruelly and one careless moment of letting them loose ends up with somebody getting badly hurt.

They're illegal here as well, I think.

Same. I don't know how many times I've fussed at people (my parents included) for the way they treat their pets. All that ends up happening is that I get shouted at and wind up getting in trouble. Ugh. People really annoy me. Animal abuse really ticks me off quick.

My most expensive Football was punctured by a Pit and the lady said ''she'll get me a new one''. It's been 2 years and where is it? What an idiotic person!

My grandparents are moving to Queensland and leaving their cats at the RSPCA - which pisses me off.

Just take the cats to your dad's. XD;

But that's sad.. If no one adopts them, they get put down. :x Or so I heard.. Kinda makes me wonder about my dog. I had to give her away because she was on heat and accidentally attacked my other dog and my parents wouldn't let me keep her anymore, so the next day we took her to the RSPCA. That was probably the saddess car ride of my life. And she looked at me.. With her sad eyes.. She knew what she did was wrong, but there was nothing I could do..

..I miss her.

They can't go to my dad's. Max will scare them and they'll either run away or die of shock. Not to mention he's already lost one cat to a snake.

And that's terrible. D8 I remember when a dog I had for 7 years had to get put down because she was going blind and had diabetes.

Oh, so I guess the lady was at fault for not keeping her dog leashed?

I think it would suck to be the veternarian who has to put animals down, I could never do that, which was one of the reasons I chose not to pursue a career as a vet.

A friend of mine chose the path of being a vet because of how much she cared for animals, unfortunately nowadays she does more putting them down than actually treating them, which hurts her a lot.

There tends to be a lot of sadness in order to get some form of happyness.

But I guess that's life. You can never always be happy since there will always be things that can go wrong or put you down. But you can do your best to be as happy as possible and focus on the positives.

Awww. That's so sad. :( Giving away an animal is never easy. I'm sure she found herself a nice new home.
My mom refuses to take an animal to shelters that put down animals. We have a few no-kill shelters that we take all of the stray cats and stuff to. Although, one of them ended up putting down one of the cats my mom was looking after. I can't remember why, but it really ticked my mom off when they did that. It was originally a stray cat, though.

That sucks. I wanted to become a vet when I was a kid, but there was no way I would be able to handle having to put them down.

Well it is generally better to be an optimist.

In life you know you are going to go through experiences that will hurt you, but being able to surpass them with what you believe is best for yourself, and those around you, and keeping a decent outlook on most things is what will help you learn how to deal with it all.
