Well acctually it has a lot of bug traits: it's body is composed out of three joints, as well as it's arms and legs. I seems to hace compound eyes, ...

And it's made out of an ancient Bug pokémon. I think that counts too.
I think Genosect is as much a bug as a cyborg is human. So, like 50%. Its typing refelcts on this, he's Bug because he's an insect, and Steel because he's a machine.
And I don't think he's a legendary, simply because there are no legends concerning him. Heck, he's been made recently, so how's he a legendary? How's he even on the Pokédex? I have that same problem with Mewtwo, by the way.

I still disagree, his face does not look like a bugs, i thought youd mention that anyway, and check this out:
Doncha think;)

It's appearance is slightly altered to fit the role of robotically changed Pokemon... Perfectly understandable! *who'd say that tkallab and I would agree! XD*

And tkallab, it's humanoid, not cyborg!

exactly my point, its a humanoid, not a bug, thats really what ive been trying to point out, i KNOW its a weapon, just pointin out that it shouldn't be a bug, regardless of the stinger thing.
since it has half a car for a head and is humanoid with only 1 TINY bug feature, it should be a Humacar type of thing (obviously not saying it should be called Humacar, thats ridiculous)

o.o why r u guys bashing genosect, its one of my fav pokemon of 5th gen.
Besides him stand only ulgamoth, water starter final evo, those 2 bugs that evolve by trading eachother and the flying squirrel pokemn, emonga.

Ummm, '-oid' neans '-like'. Humanoid literally means humanlike, thus can be almost anything, including lamps, wolfs and kiwis. A cyborg is a human with robotic parts, like Inspector Gadget. And I was saying if a cyborg is human, then Genosect is a Bug Pokémon.

And it feels really great that we agree on something, hasn't happened in a long time, hahaha!

By the way, Xilfer, Genosect is as much humanoid as any other incest insect walking on its hind legs. Like Scyther.

You kinda got that wrong. A cyborg is a HUMAN with robotic parts, when a humanoid is a ROBOT in a shape of a human.

Back on topic...
I think that Ulgamoth should have been the legendary one!

Yea, he fits the title of legendary, especially since he isn't recently created and needs to be interacted with in a cave to be fought at an incredibly high level. Too bad he has a prevolution.

By the way...
Wikipedia said:
A humanoid (from English human and -oid "resembling") is something that has an appearance resembling a human being.
It's not that I always want to be right, I just don't want others to be wrong, haha. You meant a humanoid robot, draggy. There's a seperate Wikipedia page for that.

I still stand by what i said, he is NOT a bug, how does a human being a cyborg make genesect a bug? and a lampost and a kiwi aren't humanoid at all, now your starting to sound ridiculous, also, about scyther, its kind of obvious to me that he's based on a mantis, with his scythe-like hands/arms, whatever they are, a mantis being a real bug, genesect not being based on any bug and not looking like a bug but rather like a cyborg car face, equals in him not being a bug!

When yall add the gen 5 bugs, can we change partners?

Draggy...Tkallab is right technically but in reality the two terms Humanoid,Cyborb and on occasion Android have been used interchangeably since the dawn of Sci Fi and a Humanoid would indeed in terms of robotics be 100% robot made to resemble a human A.K.A a Terminator.

oh and I hate Genosect but I do not like nor care for any legend, save for lugia.

A lamp and a kiwi can be humanoid if they're shaped like a human. Well, it's a bit hard for a kiwi to be shaped like a human, but you can always draw it. And a lamp only needs to be shaped like a human by its manufecturers. So nothing is necessarily humanoid, but practically anything can be humanoid.

A cyborg is a human with robotic features, ranging from a finger to all kinds of installed gadgets or a built-in supercomputer. But it's still a human. Look
So what about Genosect? He is an ancient bug, infused with all kinds of mechanical features, like the cannon, or your 'car-face'. But even with all those features, it's still a bug like it used to be.

And I'm not saying Scyther is based on a human, but Scyther is based on a human exactly as much as Genosect is. What? HE walks on two legs? Well, so do Pinsir, Venonat, Kricketune, Volbeat, Ledian and so forth... Are they all humanoid? I'll let you decide.

Sorry guys but we'll just have to wait for the fifth gen.
Even though some of you want to add gen V. there's a lot more that don't.

@ tkallab, Xil, myself
Guys we're getting extremly offtopic so let's just drop it. Genosect is what it is, and let's just leave it at that.

@Xil
Xil, unfortunatelly for you you've gotten into an argument against two pros, so you've made some rookie mistakes, which is perfectly OK. But if you want to make your arguments better, I guess me and tkallab could give you some pointers... :D

Awww... I guess I enjoy the internet the best when I can have a nice discussion with someone.
And of course, I agree with draggy about that we should wait with adding the fifth generation Bug Pokémon until their English names are revealed.

Well guys, today's the day we get to see the manga each team has drawn.
So here's Curious's and mine:
Spoiler:

I hope you guys will like it, as we've put a lot of effort in it!

Okay, so this Caterpie is attacked, and then he evolves. So the other Drowzees jpin the fight, but Metapod quickly evolves again and escaped the fight.
It's a really cute short story. But why does Metapod change between nose and mouth from time to time?

Metapod doesn't have a mought... You kinda lost me there...
