Ummm, a new sub-topic about Butterfree... I got one.

In your Kanto games, would you have a Butterfree or a Beedrill in your team?
Everytime I played Pokémon Red and Fire Red, I caught either a Caterpie or a Weedle and kept it with me at least until the Rock Tunnel. How about you guys?

i would have beedrill, he's cooler than butterfree, but butterfree is surpsiringly usefull aswell, i'd have one of both methinks.
 
Nah, I'd rather not include Butterfree nor Beedrill in my team since I just don't like them THAT much. Plus I usually have the three starters, a flying type, a ground type and a dragon, normal or electric type.

I can be so annoying? o.o xil u didnt do anything, u acctually intended to make me draw the entire thing, while u do nothing at all! And now ur calling me lazy and annoying. I think before calling some1 else lazy or anything check what have you done.

I luv buterfree i used him thru my entire pokemon gold :D was using psychic all the time xD

Everyone find a real life bug that a bug type pokemon has not been based on yet.
i figure that will last longer.
 
Well luckily you have two filters before you post something, your mouth and your keyboard. Heck, you decide what you post, not your anger.

Anyway, a bug that's not a Pokémon yet... I forgot the English name, but I like to call it an assassin wasp. I believe I already mentioned it once. It lays eggs in living caterpillars and stuff through its stinger. I saw one in France last year, he was carrying bugs into a hole in the picnic table every day. It was fascinating.

anyway, i think i heard that mentioned somewhere before, after the caterpillar dies, the babies that came out of the eggs use the caterpillar for protection or something like that.

Oh yeah, I forgot we had another topic, Butterfree. But I don't know what to write about Butterfree, exept that Confusion of his sure comes in handy against Brock.

And yes, you're thinking of the right bug! If you still know Dutch well enough (you used to live in Belgium, didn't you?) it's called Sluipwesp. Don't know why I like to call it Assassin wasp, it probably reminds me of Sluipmoordenaar, haha.

And next time I'm in France is probably july, august... Unless my sister convinces my parents to go to Italy.
 
moordenaar? yes, when you think of it that wasp and all it's kin are moordenaaren, aren't they.
Convince your parents otherwise, i know how (learnt this trick from my little sister)
beg them, it's easy, it dosen't always work, but it's worth a try.
if not, tell your sister the truth, that you'll all get to meet me and my family there.
I'm sure our mums will like each other, considering they both speak dutch.
my dad dosen't though, he's an algerian.

It's more that the sluip- part of sluipwesp reminds me of sluipmoordenaar. I'll translate everything later for all the non-Dutch people, when I can open more than one page at a time. My vocabulary and IPod memory are both kind of lacking right now.

And if we're seriously going through with that plan to meet in France, let's do it via vm.
 
I love Butterfree ~ ^^ It's really good at the beginning of the games, I just wish it stayed useful throughout. :c I think the shiny version is so cute, I always wanted to find a shiny Caterpie just so I could have a shiny Butterfree haha. xD

Shiny Caterpie in my opinion is a better shiny than a shiny butterfree. Mee too, Butterfree should be more useful. More attacks and better stats would help.

I'm not even sure what shiny Caterpie looks like, but I bet it's indeed cute. I'll have to search for it and see. And why thank you! I made it myself. :3 I love doing graphics. I'm a ghost type fan as well as a bug fan. I guess I love anything creepy crawly haha.

Please keep this thread "bug" related. Far too many times have users been getting off-topic from the purpose of this fan club. I don't mind occasional chit-chit in a post, but please, have something bug related in there as well. If you continue to go off track, then infractions will be handed out and this thread might just go in time-out for a bit until you guys know how to keep on topic more.

That said, please continue as you were from your last topic.
 
wow sorry for the inactivity been busy anyway, I like the normal Butterfree over the shiny version, imo Butterfree is less than useful in battle I much prefer other bug perhaps Venomoth or other Kanto natives.

@Xilfer-- relax man its just a forum about Pokemon for (insert your deity here's) sake.

anyway, on a bug note, they should make a branched evo for Ledyba, that would be great.
 
Or just a Ledian evolution. I always get the feeling he should be able to become more powerful... And bigger.
 
hm, yeah that would be cool too, you could give Ledian cannons and call it Lediranpage, LOLOL.

acctually that gave me an idea for a new topic.
i don't know if we've done it before but...Name a bug type pokemon that (in your opinion) needs an evo, Gen Vs included.
