I'll answer the last 2 topics:

If you were to magically switch lives with Dawn, What would you do? And what would she do as you?

I have wondered what my life would be if I was female instead of male, so if this happens,
I would get to find out... (& I'm sure I'd make a point of beating chauvinists & preverts wherever
I go, & by beat, I mean make them cry & beg for mercy.)

& I think she may freak out, getting stuck in a hairy body...
I like my body to be honest, but I HIGHLY doubt Dawn would... & there's the speech
problem I have, so she REALLY wouldn't like it...

If Dawn was to travel to an unknown region. What would the three starters, the name of the region, and what starter would she get?

I'm actually gathering ideas for a new pokedex I'm going to start making after I get Y...
The name of the region I have in mind is Lyho & there will be 2 sets of starters,
The usual Grass/Fire/Water ones & the "special edition" starters, which will be
Rock/Fighting/Flying.
I don't have a Grass or Water starter in mind, but the Fire-type will be a ferret,
the Rock-type will be a horned chameleon, the Fighting-type will be a joey (baby kangaroo)
& the Flying-type will be based off of a mythical monster called owlursus, or owl bear.

I think Dawn would choose the Fire ferret pokemon, or maybe the Fighting joey pokemon...
May even end up with both.

The region is called Frinf (pronounced Vnir) which is the pokemon world's version of Fafnir - more in the Backstory Spoiler.

Starter, Zir:

Zir, Zir'pyn, Zir'pyn'tiin

- A Metal/Poison knight-lamia pokemon.

Pokedex:

Zir - the helm pokemon. Zir is a sentient egg with a knight's helm. This helm covers the egg completely. Zir attacks instinctively. By putting Zir in a battle, its magical helm will use normal moves like tackle as a manner of self defense. It also dodges automatically. Many trainers pick Zir as their starter pokemon due to inexperience, wanting an easy-way-out for their first battles. Zir and its evolutions are always female. (Normal/Steel)

Zir'pyn - the coiling chainmail pokemon. Just like how Zir has a magical helm attached to it, Zir'pyn's skin sticks completely to a layer of chainmail which covers the pokemon entirely. It is often unknown where the head and tail are, unless it talks. When threatened, Zir'pyn exerts poison moves that affect the entire area. If it gains enough bravery, it may use normal moves in direct combat. A naturally shy and scared pokemon, Zir'pyn normally only talks with its owner - and even then only if the owner shows it enough love. (Poison/Steel)

Zir'pyn'tiin - the lamia knight pokemon. Zir'pyn'tiin is an intense fighter that cares greatly about the defense of its comrades. With a tiara, upper body armor, shield, spear, and a set of reptilian wings, Zir'pyn'tiin is valkyric in appearance. Its lower body may only be that of a snake, but its scales are as hard as steel. It is able to use poison moves through its metallic frame but prefers steel moves for their strategic value. It is said a Zir'pyn'tiin is equal to 100 humans in combat. Its ability to interpret all factors - enemy, environment, and strategy - is second to none. In the past, a single Zir'pyn'tiin defeated the legendary Frinf in mortal combat. Zir'pyn'tiin can breed with any male pokemon [and even humans], regardless of origin; however, the children will always be Zir. (Steel/Poison/Flying)

^ The second and third forms may talk, but only in whispers. The third form normally prefers silence, as it uses its eyes and body to communicate. It levels up based on "Happiness" but, in fact, it is love that evolves it from the first to second evo and eventually lets it develop bravery, which it needs for the second to third evo. It gets stronger the more love and bravery it obtains, so in other words more "Happiness" = stronger pokemon.

^ This is the pokemon Dawn gets!

Iz (pronounced "is")- the jiangshi pokemon. Iz is a tall yet small floating ghost pokemon with a talisman on its forehead. It generally only uses razor leaf, as it is mostly unaware of its surroundings. (Grass/Ghost)

Aize (pronounced "eyes") - the holy ghost pokemon. Aize is monk-like in appearance and wears ceremonial robes with glowing tattoos attached to his near-invisible frame. His eyelids, if one can see them, are always shut together - as if he is in constant meditation. He uses a variety of attacks from both of his types. (Grass/Ghost)

Kaizer - the imperial pokemon. Kaizer fully utilizes the gold theme of his previous evolutions in the form of roman armor and noble robes along with a wreath. He wears an adorned gladius at his side which he rarely uses in combat. Kaizer is famous for his ability to use various physical moves despite being a ghost. He prefers limb-based combat but can pick up and use anything around him as a weapon. With phenomenal strength and a natural variety of abilities, Kaizers have been the chosen protectors of royal lines for eons. It is said a group of them watches over Frinf's resting place, trying to keep him from laying destruction to himself and others. (Fighting/Grass/Ghost)

^ the Iz line is always male. It is suggested for trainers with little to no experience yet don't want a cop out.

Pele - the spinning top pokemon. Pele is a circular, wheel-like pokemon whose wheel is made of separated, curved spikes designed for both rolling and cutting its enemies. Both of its sides have cones sticking out, allowing it to "spin" on its sides as well. Despite being made of hardened coral, Pele has molten lava that is generally contained within it but can be used with its water abilities to produces steam, which is does naturally in battle. This steam hinders opponents and allows Pele to quickly finish them. However, Pele's design makes it difficult to maneuver. (Water/Fire)

Havfrue - the ningyo pokemon. Havfrue evolves from Pele when it opens up like an oyster. Havfrue comes out of Pele which then becomes a discarded shell. A floating maiden in a long white robe, Havfrue's appearance is very different from that of Pele's. Havfrue holds dearly a pearl which naturally contains an absurd amount of electricity. Because of this, recent years have found many Havfrue's pearls stolen. Once this happens, however, the pokemon turns into a statue, frozen in time until its own pearl is returned. A single pearl is said to power an entire region for one thousand years. (Psychic/Electric)

Lorelei - the sirens pokemon. Lorelei naturally evolves from Havfrue, splitting into three bodies which connect and act as one at all times. While this triples the pokemon's power, it cannot move other than floating around. Lorelei's parts are never disconnected; if one of them is knocked out, the others shut down as well. Lorelei's songs were once used to bring sailors to safety but, due to the treatment of Havfrues by humans in recent years, Loreleis now lead sailors to their deaths. Lorelei is made out of marble said to be fully resistant to all grades of steel. (Rock/Normal/Fairy)

^ the Pele line is named after various mythical entities. Madame Pele is a Hawaiian goddess. Havfrue is a mermaid. Lorelei is a siren mentioned in the song of the same name by Blackmore's Night. All of the line are 50% male and 50% female, even though the evolutions all look like beautiful maidens. It is suggested for trainers with alot of experience.

150 Years Ago, Frinf region, capital city - Lear...

From the journal of Sir Lance Olat:

Children used to play every day here with no worries at all. Now they toil, working in ways only grown men should have to. Everyone pulls their weight, rebuilding the city from scratch. This was, solely and truly, the most beautiful city in the world. We built it here, in the nest of one we only respected. His image was placed upon our cloaks, our shields, and even our flag. The magnificent god of dragons, Frinf, betrayed us. Believing us only a stain upon his territory, he slaughtered so many without hesitation. His intention was to wipe us from this world completely...

The birds were singing. Everyone was chatting, running, and playing. It was as peaceful as a day could get. Then, from nowhere, the road leading from the front gate to the castle shattered. A humanoid being of draconic appearance fixed himself upright from where the crater began. As if given to him by the sun itself, heat poured from his body. Steam covered his frame - and then the flames... Oh Arceus, the FLAMES! He used an Overheat so powerful, it engulfed the entire city in a raging inferno!

People were trying to run out of the city, lit on fire as they did so. The castle gates opened, allowing the knights under the command of Sir Gon Col to face the intruder. Gon Col, with his great dual battleaxes ran towards Frinf. Using his psychic powers, as we have come to conclude, Frinf "saw" when Sir Col would move his arms and start a swing. He used this knowledge to begin a long sprint, a jump, twirl, and drop kick Sir Col directly in his unguarded chest. They crashed through the grand steel walls guarding the castle. Sir Col died that day, impaled by a single kick...

It was here that our greatest knight, Lady Arc, glared down the enemy. Without even a second to respond, Frinf was whipped by her great tail. She slithered forwards at an amazing speed, taking no time to attack Frinf directly - but he dodged. Jumping into the air, he used his two razors, attempting but failing to be wings, which protruded only slightly out of his back to use Razor Smash. He came down from the sky with the attack, spinning into a frenzy of a ball. Lady Arc stopped him with her shield just in time. Readjusting back into his normal form, Frinf did not defend from Lady Arc's dual Metal Burst/Poison Jab spear thrust. It damaged him exponentially.

He turned to run, aiming at the crowd leaving the city. Trying to get away from Lady Arc before the poison completely ruined him, he jumped into the air, soaring away. She followed close behind, flying towards him. At one moment, close to Mount Caesar, he turned to fire a Dragon Pulse at her. It distracted her enough for him to leap up the mountain. At the top, he used a powerful kick to propel himself once more in the air. It sparked an avalanche, drowning Lady Arc for days. She survived, near death from frostbite, slithering slowly towards the city later on...

Now, we raise our flag with a symbol not based on respect but instead out of rage. We will always remember, his hatred... Frinf will never love humanity. He shall always and forever hate us. We must repay that hatred in kind...

From the records left to us by history, we have collected the following as what occurred within the Year of Hatred...

King Gamma, the third of the royal line of Frinf, heard tell of something known as electricity, lightning turned into power. He ordered machines to generate and use the "technology" created alongside electricity. Though this was in the earliest days of technological advancement, the light and warmth granted by these machines were vital to continued life on Frinf. They were to arrive in what is now known as the Cove of Aspirations, where the citizens were fleeing to after the great disaster.

The supplies arrived without the king's ability to trade for them. The sailing engineers, pitying the citizens due to their predicament, let them have the machines. However, the manpower needed to build a new home city was too small to allow some to work and generate the electricity. A wandering Havfrue witnessed the humans, bruised and starving, along the coast. She went to check on them and found that their machines ran on electricity, something her pearl constantly generated. She created a psychic link with the king at the time and a partnership was forged - every 20 years, she would have a day with her pearl so that she could learn about how much the world changed. In return, her pearl would be used to power the city (and now the region) for as long as it could. Now, we treat "Lady Liza" as a divine figure, praising her during the Pearl Festival occurring in her honor every 20 years.

However, the citizens' troubles were not over. Although the engineers were helping them build to an extent, the people had no direction. The king, lost to this kind of situation, prayed deeply to the sky for a miracle. A few days later, a group of Aize came upon the people from deep within their home in the Enlightened Fen. These travelers approached the king and began chanting. At once, the king's eyes grew large and his pupils small. He stared up at the sky, seeing something yet to be known. From that point forward, he had a ruler's vision. He led his people to great prosperity within his reign due to the aid of the Aize.

The Aize stayed with the people during the year, watching over them. That is, until the year was nearly over. Frinf crashed down once more. The Aize, knowing well what he would do, evolved into Kaizers and instantaneously confronted the legend. Not many saw what occurred in the battle but we do know this: the Kaizers easily defeated Frinf and took him to an undisclosed location. The king, hearing the divine voice of the sky, told the people that the Kaizers would watch over Frinf and stop him from causing any more damage.

Lady Arc, Lady Liza, and the First Royal Kaizers - it is for their deeds that we use the starters Zir, Pele, and Iz. Their actions were that of heroes and we honor their deeds without fail.

Frinf (pokemon) :

Frinf - the dragonman pokemon. As a legendary Dragon/Psychic/Fairy pokemon, Frinf was once respected by humans throughout the world. After his attack on the city of Lear, he was declared one of humanity's greatest threats. His complete hate of humanity makes him far too dangerous to approach. If you're near him right now, run. Run as fast as you can, it's your only hope! Frinf has the same anatomic posture as humans do. He has two curved blades, often called razors, protruding from his upper back and down beyond his spine. Though he cannot fly with these, he is able to use them in combat. His bones are lighter than ours, allowing him to move at intense speeds. He can strengthen his muscles enough to tear through steel. Despite this, his hardened scale-skin can be penetrated by steel. This shows a major lack of defense. He can "see" what is yet to happen due to his psychic nature; this ability is not too strong but it is useful enough for combat. He can supplement his physical ability with his psychic powers, allowing for fast and powerful movement. Being part Fairy, his entire body is enchanted by mystical properties. This is most easily seen as stream-like cracks naturally made along his body, from top to bottom. Due to this, all of his physical attacks are also deemed special attacks and his special attacks have increased power, even to the point of implausibility. He tends to slumber for over one hundred years at a time. He is most powerful when he first wakes up; he can only stay awake for the duration of one year. History claims only once instance in which he has been defeated - by Lady Arc, a Zir'pyn'tiin heroine.

Dawn getting her starter:

Having arrived safely at Port Liza in the Cove of Aspirations, Dawn has gone to see Professor Bohdi and get her starter for the Frinf region.

Prof Bodhi: "Oh, hello there! Dawn, correct? Prof Oak told me you were coming. Would you like to see our starters?"

Dawn: "Yes, I would! Thanks!"

Bodhi: "Well, our first pokemon, Iz, is right behind you!"

Dawn: "Right beh- EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!"

- Iz, being creepy and all, was floating up at Dawn's face, making her jump back, truly pale and frightened.

Dawn: "N-N-N-Next, please!"

Bodhi: "Right-O! The next pokemon is..."

- At that moment, a pokemon spun with its curved spikes through the glass entrance and into the wall, barely missing Dawn. Her heart jumped out of her chest, her eyes solid plates. It took her a whole minute to snap out of it!

Dawn: "What...was that..."

Bodhi: "Oh, that was our second pokemon, Pele..."

Dawn: "NEXT!"

Bodhi: "Right, let me get its pokeball."

- Bodhi releases a shiny Zir.

Bodhi: "Now, I will warn you, it only acts instinctively so you..."

Dawn: "I'll take it."

Bodhi: "Are you sure?"

Dawn: "Seeing as it hasn't given me a heart attack, it's safe to assume it's the only sane starter you have."

Bodhi: "..."

Bodhi: "What a wise decision! Plus, it's a shiny! Now, be careful if you try to touch i-"

- Dawn picks up the Zir, holding it tight and with care.

Bodhi: "Uh... Right! Well! This is its pokeball and uh... Here's your pokedex. Safe travels, Dawn!"

Dawn: "Thanks..." <.< "Good luck to you too, professor..."

The three starters would be evee,vulpix,and shinx. I would make up some starters but my imagination isnt good atm lol. As for the name of the Region.......*thinks for a second.....* the Hikoto Region lol. its a wordplay on hikari. and she would pick evee of course because well its the cutest and has the cutest evolutions.

Dawn's Choice of Starter: Fenfire. Because it is the cutest and ends up evolving into a Fire/Flying. She would be able to climb on its back and have her take her places(SO she can act like a princess).

That would depend if Serena is interested in entering contests, because she's more focused on becoming a Rhyhorn rider. If this was her first time entering contests, then Dawn beat her instantly being an expert coordinator she is.
