Wow, finally a tournament I can actually participate in (yes, I'm at home and I have good Wi-Fi).

Also, why is the number 50? Don't you know about proper tournament brackets? Good tournaments need to be done in numbers divisible by 4 (4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 etc.) 50 will inevitably lead to a round robin, and that's something you DON'T want.

But whatever, it's too late for that now.

Okay.. seems people are confused with the "standard" rules..

Sleep Clause - Cannot put more than 1 Opponent's Pokemon to sleep. If the opponent uses Rest, that is a different case. Natural Cure is the confusion here, if the Pokemon containing Natural Cure is about to switch, you are allowed to use the "sleep" move.

Evasion Clause - The use of Evasiveness increasing moves are banned (etc. Minimize, Double Team..)

OHKO Clause - All moves having 1-hit KO description and effect are banned, such as Fissure or Sheer Cold. (Banned once Articuno got Mind Reader AND Sheer Cold... the terror)

Hax Clause - Explained above

Species Clause - You may not use 2 of the same Pokemon in the same team.

Uber's Banned - No.. this does NOT mean all Legendaries are banned, only the Uber Pokemon (explained in the following)

Ubers: Mewtwo, Mew, Wobbuffet, Lugia, Ho-oh, Wynaut, Kyogre, Groudon, Rayquaza, Deoxys, Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, Darkrai, Arceus

Hacked Pokemon/Moves/Abilities Banned - Lol.

Oh no...I hope I don't get paired with you for the first round :( I'm only a noob, I won't stand a chance. If I do get paired with you, will you let me win?

Zungie could you please remove me from the list. I wont be able to participate in the tournament cause I have to much work to do at home sorry for the inconvinence but I can still giveaway the pokemon.

Just to add to this, for this particular tourney, all legends are banned. Thats the norm for a lot of tournaments, but it is for this one. I'm cool with that :)

How do we report which ever me or my opponent Andy have won?

And are we allowed to swich our teams to different pokemons for different battles?

3: Yeah again I guess thats ok as we haven't been asked to list our teams.

Gah! My opponent hasn't been online since December 8th! >.< What do I do if he doesn't show up? :paranoid: Please don't put me against aragornbird :'(
 
If your opponent doesn't show up, they end up forfeiting the match. And don't take anyone off the list. It'll screw everybody up who's made plans (such as me and latioslegends). So if you have to drop out just say you forfeit.

I can't wait for our battle. ^^ I'll lose but hey, I'll try my best. Just need to get one item and I'll be ready....

If our designated opponent doesnt show, it counts as a forfiet correct? Also, there are still people wanting to join, and this thread still hasn't been recently updated. Im not sure if this tournament can actually go through today.
 
today's the day....wiat my guy hasn't logges on since dec 9th..... great.
 
I don't see how we can start, as some entrants don't have a designated partner yet. I think I'm facing ABYAY but I have had no confirmation from anyone about it so I guess we just got to wait until Zungie logs on. He hasn't been on since the 13th =(

I'm in the same boat. Mine hasn't signed on since Dec 8th :( I really don't want to win by default: I was looking forward to the first round. I've been practicing in the battle tower and getting together a team and everything :(
 
Someone battle me if they don't have an opponent.

Then that means none of the fights count until he confirms this is how the tourney match-ups are...which means no one can fight without being sure

Then so be it. You'll feel a bit silly battling someone and winning only to find out it was the wrong person. But to be honest I think whoever your name is next to you'll be battling so you should be ok.

But still, proceed with caution =P
