FireRed hack: Pokemon Police

Introduction:
I'm G.K.S. and I have been on this forum for a while now. I love the hacks they have here and I decided to make my own. I gained a lot of knowledge about hacking and I still am learning a lot. I'm going to try to change this from the actual game through graphics and through the story (There will not be Fakemon). I hope you will enjoy and support this hack.

Hack of Pokemon

Story:


The story starts with a main character that lives in the fictional Larston Town. The main character is from a rich family and has high respect form the whole town. When you start by going outside for the first time, you will hear someone yell for help. You will then follow the sound into a warehouse-like research center that has been trashed. The owner, a weird guy who loves Pokedexes, tells you his stuff has been stolen. He suspects it is Team Rocket and asks you to go to to neighboring town and report it to the police station. The officers there tells you that they will look into this and they asks you if you want to help the police. You say yes and he gives you a Pokemon. You are to travel to the next town and see if there is any problems. Soon after another event, you will be an official officer. Later you will be introduced to the Rocket Leaders and you will have to beat five of them. The further you advance in your journey, the more your police officer status grows. After a while you will battle Giovanni as the final rocket member, but Giovanni will have much stronger Pokemon than what he had in FireRed. There is a Pokemon League involved as well, but not the same as the FireRed one.

Glaceon---Just avilable to be caught, Eevee does not evolve into this. Like in the real game, it evolves by the rock and in this game, there is no rock. Plus no evolution data will be added to Eevee to support a possible evolution that never occurs.
Leafeon---Just avilable to be caught, Eevee does not evolve into this. Like in the real game, it evolves by the rock and in this game, there is no rock. Plus no evolution data will be added to Eevee to support a possible evolution that never occurs.

Other than that.. there are a wide variety of mapping errors, and general "no-no"s. Look into the Documents and Tutorials section for, well, tutorials and tips. I know Neti has a pretty good tutorial in there.

Interesting story (being a somewhat opposite of those hacks that turn you into a Team Rocket Grunt), though I agree that you need to fix those maps...

I didn't even notice that my thread was put in the scrapbox instead of the hack showcase. Yeah, I do have to fix the maps. The story is a little confusing at first.

I'm guessing that the map errors are on the grass only.

Well you are not a police officer at the start, you just like a junior officer. Later on, they give you the official status after doing more.

I have planned this game and I already started putting everything together.

It's ok if the mistake is in the tiles, I will fix those.
See if you could find any small mistakes.

There are going to be updates to this thread frequently, so it would be good to keep an eye on it. The beta would not be out for a long time so please don't ask that (no one has yet). If you do find mistakes on the maps, you do not have to tell me because it shoudl be fixed later. I will add a status bar to the first to tell everyone where the hack is at. New information on the hack is usually on the first post, but it could be on a regular post as well. The story will me expanded later on as well. The starter will probably not change and I will add a list of the D/P Pokemon I will be adding. The screens are constantly changing as well.

Good, but the top left house, the wall is a bit small

good, but unless you have the house on a ledge then there's not point in the stairs. too spacy.

It needs more trees. Too grassy.

I like it, but the flowers stand out a bit much. try dulling the red down a little, same wiv the PC.

Cool, but the tree tiles...they don't look right, you need to make it look like there's grass underneath them, and make the trees overlap. Same thing with the stairs, no point unless there's a ledge.


pretty good, but extend the fence to contain the house completely, except for the doorway. and the big space on the right? what is that for? it's kinda boring really.

and one last point, it needs pathways! i can see no paths there, it's kinda depressing.

over all you've got some good stuff going, but if you could send me the patch i'd gladly touch it up a bit. :D

These were older versions of the screens, but pretty much the same. I have an email account that I give access to team members, so I would PM it to you.

There have been new banner and user bars available for people to use to show support. V1tje is the one who made all these. Sirwillis04 has worked on maps and have also done a good job. Beta Tester position has run out so do not ask me about it. I know that I have not uploaded a beta yet, but that will have to wait because this hack is still in the early stages. It is not worth playing yet.

To: Elijahb---After I post the new rom, I may ask you to look for errors again.

I will keep adding screenie as the hack continues and please tell me what you think of it now.
