    So after typing a huge tldr on other chat I was greeted with a friendly "cannot post URLs". So I pressed the back button.

    IT ALL WENT AWAY ;A;

    Would it be possible to implement a "go back" button so that this doesnt happen to other people (or to me again lol). I know its browser related but my dad works in security and he wont let anyone use the internet without using Tor / Ultrasurf / Privoxy. Tor is slow as hell and Ultrasurf doesnt work with firefox that well.

    In any case, I've seen a "go back" button used in other forums. It works. XDD

    that is a function of your browser, not of the software we use here.. dunno of any way we could force a copy of your history if your pc/browser doesn't save it.

    Sorry it happened to ya and I hope it doesn't again.

    If you're using firefox, try the Lazarus: Form Recovery addon

    It's perfect for that sort of problem. To hear that your dad is such a security guy, he should know how insecure those proxies actually ARE. I am a first semester networking student and even I don't use those unless I need to hop across some troublesome filter. Tor is acceptable, but it's limitations are obvious. I'd invest some time in researching things to prove that those proxies are as insecure as possible so you don't have to put up with it.

    You can't post urls until after 25 posts
    Why is this even the case, out of interest? I assume it's to smack spambots in the face, but 25 posts seems a tad much.

    It's to keep spambots from being able to spam-post to that level with obfuscated URLs. It's easy to obfuscate URLs by inserting spaces like so. if not spaces, one can use other symbols to fool filters.

    I've actually seen spambot tools capable of obfuscating urls if its post is rejected.

    It's 15 posts to post links/images, the "25" likely came from the 25 character limit.
    And it's there to sort of stop people from joining just to post/send links. I mean if they wanted to then there's ways around it, but if they aren't clickable then most people won't waste their time removing spaces or adding this or that.
