    O.O

Why did the GSDS Forum get a complaint thread? So ppl can complaint about like 5 scans of a magazine? I dontg know about you, but if you guys are gonna complain, get the hell out.

I say, if there is a complaint thread here, shouldnt there be one in every games forum? Right! But there isnt, so i believe you guys should either talk happy bout HG/SS or get out of the forum centered around it!

Really, there isnt much to complain about, so why do it and act like babies?

Complaining about a complaint thread is a little ironic, no?

They made it for people who make spam threads about things to complain about. Now they can all converge in one place and complain together without spamming up the section.

Because the HGSS has the most complaints so far. Congratulations, Nintendo!

We made a sticky one because we got like 6 different complaint threads. So we thought it would be better to have an official one instead. Kinda what we did in the old DS/Handheld games with the DS remake thread. If we suddenly get 20 complaint threads in D/P/P, we might make an official one there too.

    But...

Because the HGSS has the most complaints so far. Congratulations, Nintendo!

I really don't think it's Nintendo's fault so much as the old school gamers and purists wanting something that's 8-bit graphics short of a port. (Or, at least, that's what I'm getting from the complaint threads. Really, guys? You were complaining about the color of the grass at one point?) You'd think that the fact that we got a game we were wanting since FrLg would satisfy people enough -- or, at least, that we'd wait until we got more than a week's worth of magazine scans to bash the games.

But, ironically, I'm going to have to agree with Twilight Sky's first sentence here. I'm guessing people just like to complain. (Granted, I'm a bit of a hypocrite in that regard because I just did, but still. Point is, if it lets the rest of us get excited about the game by clearing the way for speculation threads and "yay it's coming" threads, I'm for a complaint sticky, and I have no problem with it.)

They weren't complaining about the grass anymore. Now they're complaining about each other. And I am the one trying to get them to shut up about Soul.

I'm not upset about their complaining. It's the way they are doing it. It's obnoxious that they are still going on about how "ugly" the new girl is in so many threads. The game has just been announced and already they're obsessing over it. In a way, they are acting like spoiled brats going on and on how she's not Kris and she's not stylish enough. A lot of pokemon characters aren't the epitome of style. Yet, why now do they complain about the characters. Kris' clothes didn't match. Yellow and red look awful together. The new girl's clothes actually match. These people should get over it. Just play as the guy if you don't like the girl. They keep repeating themselves over and over and giving the same excuses. It's irritating. I wish there was only one complaint thread sooner so I didn't have to see the new girl complaints in every thread. Thank you for the person who made the thread and the one who merged them together so others would stop spamming all the other threads. And thank you to the person who made this thread so I can express my opinion. I think the character is okay, and she actually wears colors that match. It's just a drawing. Others are making fun of her because of her clothes and because she's not "Kris." Big deal. It's just a game. I, for one am happy that there is even a remake to begin with and I appreciate the gift that Nintendo has given me. Thank you Nintendo, and everyone who was involved in making these games. It's hard work that has gone unappreciated. All this new girl bashing is killing my joy. It's like they don't want me to be happy about the remake by pointing out what they think are flaws. And by saying the new girl is "ugly" when I say she isn't, is in a way insulting my taste in clothing. The character is supposed to be ten year's old, not a teenager. And just because the new girl is wearing overalls, doesn't make her a farmer. That's just a stupid stereotype.

Lets just keep the answer simple:
There were too many complaint threads cluttering up the newly made forum, and AJ had an idea, that I sent to Sylphiel.

It pretty much looks like a classic troll thread now...

What I dislike about those threads though (one of many reasons why I'd never post in them), is because people discuss things, that they know little about... and since the game is not out... well...

Basically, to make a good argument, you need evidence, and in this case, there is lack of it. So you'll get the person who will one post in there, complaining about something they hardly know anything about, and never come back. Then you'll get someone who will be loyal to the game, to unnecessarily "defend" it... In both cases neither can bash or defend the game properly... as there is no game to begin with...

So I'd suggest anyone who does not care for the complaints, to not bother posting in that thread, however ridiculous, the things said in there.

Also "complaint" tends to give off a negative connotation, thus, people attracted to that kind of stuff, would surely post there. Otherwise a more sensible person would create a constructive post, debating on the merits of a known thing about the current game, such as the pokemon following you.

We can complain if we chose to. There may be some bad qualities to the game, like the rumored unobtainable shiny Gyarados.

So, don't tell me what I can and can't do. I'll complain if I please.

I never said anything about telling people if they can or cannot complain...

I said I'd suggest people not to do so, for a few reasons...

There is a major difference from that to:

    "Do not post there!"

I never said you couldn't complain. We were just annoyed over the way people were doing it. They were talking about it in threads that had nothing to do with the new girl. They kept repeating themselves, and didn't defend their points well enough. There is a huge difference between:

"I HATE THE NEW GIRL SHE IS UGLY CRYSTAL IS WAY BETTER! WWAAHHH!"

    ~and~

"I would have preferred that Crystal was given an updated look instead of putting in an entirely new girl altogether. Personally, I'm not too fond of her clothing. I much would have preferred Crystal, because that is what I'm used to, and I feel as if it would have been more nostalgic."

The second example is complaining, however, it's doing it in a much better way, and doesn't make a person sound spoiled.

But really, it's not like us people who have been complaining about the complaining were any better.

Instead of saying "get over it" in a mean way.

    We could have said.

"I'm sorry you dislike the new girl, because of her clothing, or because she has replaced Kris. I liked playing as Kris in Crystal. However, I like the idea of a new girl, because it seems like a fresh idea. The original Gold and Silver versions didn't have a girl in those games at all. I think Nintendo was worried about putting Kris in because then people would expect the game to have elements from Crystal version. If it didn't, that might be considered as false advertising. Though the outfit may not be perfect on the new girl, I can point out some details I like about it. Thus, leading me to believe that this new girl is a pretty character. I am looking forward to getting this game."

If both parties have been mature in their explanations, people wouldn't have been so defensive with their arguments. I am one of those parties who should have understood that people have the right to complain and it's not my place to judge those who I do not know. I apologize deeply.
