Connections To Past Regions? Transportation Possibilities

There was mention of that the Isshu region being far off from past regions to the point you'd need to take an airplane or boat to get to any of them. There also was mention of a new mode of transportation in the game. An airplane would be a new mode of transportation. Maybe, just maybe, though I really doubt it, they will allow you to take an airplane to an old region! Like I said, I really doubt it, but what does everyone think about that and how transportation could be used with everything?

I'm doubting this since it's a rebirth and I think they're looking forward as best as they can instead of looking back. That being said I would love a return to Hoenn with a brand new plot instead of RSE remakes but that might just be me. =/

Yeah, it just seems a little odd that they'd mention airplane (I heard this indirectly, so I may be wrong) so notably in that context. I have a feeling it will have a use.

And here goes explaining :
We haven't seen the Sevii Isles in quite a while, that is since 2004. I'd like to see a new plot around them, so that I could be convinced they weren't just thrown in for daddyskipping and us being happy in FRLG. Plus, I really loved them.

Waffle, Waffle what's the point of returning to Hoenn if they are going to a remake of RSE, Plus Kanto has always been in every generation so I expect it to show up again... even if it is my least favorite out of the four regions I know :tired:.

Haha I knew you were going to show up. It's my least favourite region too, as Hoenn is my favourite. All I care is we go back to Hoenn somehow.

They did mention airplane, not really with any serious context but they did. And we're also seeing cars and boats that we've never seen before so anythings possible.

I voted for Hoenn, but I am still hoping for a Pokemon game is which I can travel through all regions and catch all Pokemon in their original habitats.

you missed out one region that hasnt been in the games thats right the orange islands, I do wish its hoenn more than the OI but if its a rebirth I dint think they'll go to a place they've been before then it wouldnt be a rebirth

As long as Isshu is well thought out and there's enough to do, I'm fine with there being just one region. Like, it has features with gameplay value lasting long after the main plot is finished ( a la Battle Frontier, Gym leader rematches, etc).

I'm bland. This region is so far away from anything else, and while a mode of transportation that'll be able to bridge this gap is very likely, such as a plane or something, I really would like this game to really play on the fact that it's so far away and make it seem like that as well. I'm hoping this game has little to no influence that originated in previous regions. But what Erik said! I would love to have the return of islands. That made LeafGreen and FireRed fun for me.

I think the main reason two regions appeared in Generation II was simply because of the fact they were trying to show the world was expanding and that Kanto and Johoto were right next to eachother. That doesn't occur with any other region... why would it occur with one so far away?

I don't really think at all they are going to add any more regions to the game.. maybe in the 3rd installment but not in B&W! At least we have a new region! If you want to go to one of the other regions play the other games :|

Like everyone else has said, please no Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, etc. ): I do however have a feeling that Hoenn will be remade later in 2012 or so just like HG/SS were remade. But an island chain as something extra would be nice, and if I could dream, I would want the Orange Islands or something comparable to them to be introduced into the games :]

I think we will probably see something like the Sevii Islands.

I doubt they'll remake RSE, since there really is not a lot of demand for them. It's going to be interesting to see how they'll replace the RSE remakes though, since for the last two generations they've made remakes. I honestly have no idea what they'll do, but I hope they don't just go straight to Gen 6 after Black and White.

Kanto's perfect attendance record: 4 generations. It's time to explore newer, cooler places. Time to forget about Johto too. You guys just had it given to you again. Sinnoh? I just travelled on ya, mate! And Hoenn? Probably would appear in a remake.

I'd prefer they focus on a single region and flesh it out with stuff. No point in wishing we'd have multiple regions just because it happened in the second generation.

A game with all regions is never going to exist, and the only games that included multiple full regions happened to be GSC and HG/SS in which case they were side-by-side, and Isshu is far away from everyone. I really don't think the new "vehicle" is going to be some sort of airplane. With my luck it will be like a scooter or something. ):

I would really like to see something like uncharted territory. Maybe after you finish Isshu's storyline, you can go out past the border of Isshu and explore new places with not even a Town Map to guide you - I mean, how can it be uncharted if it's charted? n_n

It'd be really awesome if you could like map it out as you go through this new unexplored place and find people who are suited to living life without knowing how advanced everything has gotten down in Isshu. Maybe even like uncivilized cavemen... although that seems too much of a stretch for even Pokémon games. ):

Edit: I also don't ever want to see Orange Islands. That was way too long ago to include it now.
