Good night. :P

Please center it when you see this tommorrow. :P

I just finished passing Twilight Princess for the fourth time, that was my first try at a 'speedrun' and it took me 15:21 to complete..now I will start my '100%' file.

SO what's up?
Oh, did you see the 3:51 screenshot of my speedrun with Pokemon Fire Red then? :P

But wow, that's a heck of a long game. And you must really love Zelda. The only RPGs I've played over again 3+ times were Final Fantasy VII and Pokemon Blue/Red/Yellow.

Edit: I wonder how many PC girls' self-esteem took a hit from the pictures linked in yours and Killer-Swift's ava/sig. :P

And also my new goal is to surpass Chris's 2759 post count in this thread. =x

No, actually, I haven't.

Yeah the games is pretty long but it's about 1 hour off though because I saved in one particular temple and then when I came back to play I had to pass it all over again since it makes you start at the beginning of the temple, usually that wouldn't matter but for this temple it did . Also, I had to waste time doing nothing for another part of the game which makes you wait until night time. Yes, Zelda is awesome, I only like one franchise better.

Probably not that many.

I though you wanted to be #2 poster...I've never heard of lowering one's goal.

That's cool, as of right now I'm training my pokemon for Diamond.

I'm just a video game fan in general, I'm not a hardcore gamer but I am an avid gamer so I play mostly every anticipated game that comes out and of course any games that I hear are good. I have had every game system to come out since the SNES. You said you played FF VII more than three times didn't you? Man, I think that game is very over rated, I mean sure it was a revolution in presentation but it was a step backwards in terms of gameplay, at least for me it was. FF XII is my favorite Final Fantasy game. I'll make a top ten games list though since I feel like it.

1. Metroid Prime
2. LoZ: TP
3. Resident Evil 4
4. Metroid Prime 2
5. Super Metroid
6. LoZ: MM
7. Halo 2
8. Final Fantasy XII
9. Metroid
10. Pokemon Silver/Gold

It might actually snow here tonight...although we have the right temperature to have snow here we never do because of elevation. Anyways, I need to go to sleep early today.

o_o FFVII was a step backwards? I don't know. The only thing I disliked about it was the lack of differences between characters, like there were in previous FFs.

But wow, every gaming system? $_$ !!!!!!!!!!!!

I've only owned an NES and a GBA before. That's it. o_o;

I'd probably like Resident Evil 4 of the list you made.

Hmm, didn't like gold/silver that much though. I liked how there was still a "high-level" wild pokemon area, but it just wasn't as high leveled as the Unknown Dungeon was, and there was no Missingno./Missing Number glitch. xD; Pokedex 0. Lmao. I loved fighting those lvl 100+ pokemon. Such mysterious times. That's why I loved Pokemon Blue/Red.

Emerald/Sapphire/Ruby was good quality, but wasn't too appealing a game.

Darn, I really want to play Diamond. =[ Oh well, there's lots of other games....

Good night.

Hehe, I guess I couldn't go to sleep early after all.

Yeah, it was definitely a step backwards, I'm not saying the game itself is bad but it's nowhere near the perfect game people make it out to be. A lot of people let nostalgia get the best of them and their judgement is sometimes clouded. Chrono Trigger came out before FFVII and on the SNES but it's without a doubt better and most people will agree that if the gameplay was as good as CT then FFVII would have been almost perfect but it wasn't. The translation was bad, only three characters at a time, and the linearity are only some of the problems.

Yeah, every gaming system. My parents used to buy me them up until the Dreamcast, that's when I bought them for myself. Just in 2006 I spent around $1,250 on the systems alone without games, controllers, taxes etc.

Good night, this time for real.

Well huray on making one last post. :P

I've never played CT, so FFVII remains my third or fourth favourite video game of all time. o_o; I did heard CT and Xenogears were really famous RPGs though.

And I can't imagine why you want to collect all those systems, but cool. :P

Good night.

FF7 is highly overrated... not saying how it's bad, but I can't say it's the absolute "OMG THE ONLY REASON TO LIVE" level of RPG o.o; Really, not THAT great.

If CT isn't so short and if it got more of the hype that FF7 got, it'll probably get more voice and support for the game ^^

Wonder if Miss Kanna played any game consoles?

It's Kanna-chan :P

And I don't recall her ever talking of video games, but I'm not sure. o_o;

I guess the graphics and animation style of FFVII wasn't too great either. The gameplay... I didn't have much against it. Though I really hated FFVIII's gameplay. >| The summoning animation was too slow.

The point of the slow summon animation IS for you to boost to press up the damage... but that's far from FF8's greatest flaws. It's the entire junction system that crash and burn to its miserable death (to me, the card game is actually the ONLY redeeming factor enough for me to finish up the FF8 game)

Graphics and animation are simply dictated by time, so I ignore it when I'm rating a game unless it's beyond bearable, and FF7 is just fine with that... materia system is still ok really...

CT is so fun not only because the plot is direct and easy to understand with a decent level of creativity on the smaller details, but it's also revolutionary in how your positioning matters and all the other goodies ^^

lol, I personally somehow don't see our dear hostess as one who'll play the RPG type of game, though =x

I have yet to meet a truly hardcore female gamer. :P

I liked the concept of Siren from FFVIII:

Not sure if you saw that when you came to my house or not, but grrrr @ the slow animations.

I'll go finish FFVIII someday. Someday. xD;

And those card games, I always lose in them! ;_;

THe junction system was truly pathetic, agreed. You need every summon on one character to have max stats, but yet that's not practical! Because they were the strongest attacks, every character needed to at least sync with one (unless one is reserved for healing and other stuff). The summons were almost the only useful attacks, yet they take so long to animate. I hate fighting bosses in FFVIII for that reason, since they require too many summons, and give no exp until you defeat them for a final time! ;o;

I loved FFVII's plot and characters, but the materia system, and its simple transferrability led characters to be too similiar to each other, which pissed me off. The characters were great, but their differences and shining points weren't honored enough in the battle/stats system.

Siren's only good point is that she got the only way to refine some of the items, but that's only if Siren is at some really high lvl or something (not that it's hard to gain levels in FF8, due to another fundamental flaw.) How amusing that Siren and Shiva are always setup to be some cloth-less women in every single version, and more amusing that Shiva always get less and less every game...

Oh, btw, Kiro's HP is far too low. At lvl 6, he should have at least 3000... Stick 100 Curaga junction on him by refining your tents (easy to buy) using (I think) Siren's item refining skill.

Um... not quite. Summon is completely useless because my normal attack will definitely do more or even double the damage of summons XD; FF8 is so screwed up that you are virtually invincible regardless of level. Beating the game at lvl 6 (excluding Omega Weapon if you didn't refine for the Holy Wars) is a joke, while it's possible but always insane in all the other FF (I think in FF4, it IS impossible.)

So, I think that junction system sucks because it's completely unbalanced for you =x Summon attack is useless. Magic is EVEN more useless. Afterall, whatever summon or magic can do, Quistis does it 10 times better and free of charge. If you're crazy, Quistis can even get Shockwave Pulsar to deal 10000 dmg in Disc 1. FF8 is THAT screwed up.

If complicated, loophole-filled plot that's so beyond fix that even an additional movie failed to fix up the holes, then yes, FF7 got a good "plot." ;p The materia system isn't too bad in "skill transfer" though I agree with that problem... At least you have to work pretty hard for some of the skill transfer, such as a whole team of Final Attack-Phoenix combo. Also, getting 9999 HP and 999 MP while using the least amount of materia slots is surprisingly challenging... Also, natural equipment simply doesn't allow skill transfer to be that easily, as some character like Red XIII simply get shafted in the materia slot department.

Female gamer? Surely you always talk to one, but it's merely a matter of do you remember it or not ;p

Right, Abby, the female hardcore gamer, how could I have forgotten? :P

And I see, I have a lot to learn about how to boost the normal Gunblade's power then. Guess I'll have to read up FAQs when I get back into the game. How come your normal attacks are so powerful? o_o;

Shiva's getting less cloth is ironic indeed, but I don't mind. I remember she looked like a stuffed queen in FFIV, but in FFVIII, yeah, seriously, where did her cloth go, for shame.... xD I seriously love Siren's personality though. <3

FFVII had a long life, I guess. My longest game is at 62 hours with Cloud, Aeris, and Yuffie on team. They weren't at level 99 yet, but the game was pretty much conquered.

After that, I played a speed game, but only made though in 15 hours. =[ The game is incredibly easy after Laptis Laser is defeated. The Conformer is so powerful! <3 <3 I loved Yuffie. Everybody had cool limit breaks too. Except Tifa and that dog though.

Let's see, I also replayed the game to get a Yuffie date, and it was very cute <3. Didn't get a Tifa date though since I didn't like Tifa.

I love Zack. <3

Remember, the only point to FF8 is to refine everything in your list you possibly can. Everything can be refined, and some of the most common item give you the most absurdly powerful spell. Only the initial few and a selective rarer ones like Ultima, Full-Life and Flare (and etc) really needs to be draw. Everything else is by refining.

FFIV Shiva wears just as less, the pink purple scarf thing XD; But just that SNES graphics do not allow her to be so obvious with the little clothes.

When did summons have personality, except for like FF12 maybe... (or so I heard)

lol, I actually didn't conquer FF7 cause I'm too lazy to train up to get a few duplicate copies of a few materia to fight Emerald and Ruby Weapon =x Too lazy to train, when I've beat them before though not on my own file (at friend's house utilizing their superior equipments that the friend just doesn't realize the potential of)

I actually don't like Yuffie that much at all... so much of a brat >>; Not saying that Tifa is nice either. Aeris is a Mary Sue, so I'll just stick myself to an all male team FTW.

(And Tifa's Limit Breaks >>>>>>> a lot of others, provided that you got her attack a bit higher. At the very least, it'll always be better than Dice on the stupid doll)

Dice was a fun limit break though.

I like Yuffie's and Cloud's the best, but Aeris's were definately most powerful. I had no idea how to use Tifa's final limit breaks efficient. Too many misses.

I have no concept of refining, so I guess that's why I couldn't get the Gunblade powered up. xD; Aw.

Who/what's Mary Sue? o_o;

I loved Yuffie for her cheerfulness, and style, and design, and everything else. She complained a bit too much in the Advent Children movie, but other wise, <3.

All male team? Cloud and who and who? o_o;

Vincent was cool too I guess. I just loved the huge variety of weapons everybody had! <3 Ultima Weapon & Conformer best, though.

You knew about the conformer-morph strategy for getting power ups in the Sunken Suika right? I got bored in the middle of that, but had to do it for a long time to fight Ruby and Sapphire. I loved the midi playing in that ship at least, "Underneath the Rotting Pizza."

Overall, FFVII had very fun bosses. Fighting Safer Seph was so exciting the first time. Supernova <3. Too long animation, but otherwise, the most awesome looking move. xDDD

And I just mean I like Siren's design/attack/appearance/story. I thought FFVIII had a really good plot, so I probably will finish it up.

Love this attack too, Pandora's Box:

This was taken while fighting Ruby Weapon.

Oh, and I also editted Sephiroth in the game too sometimes. I had to leave the laptop on overnight + a couple hours in the morning to watch him finally defeat the Emerald weapon all on his own though. xD; It was very fun. I love the masamune so much. Too bad his character didn't have a battle strategy programmed in, else he would've owned Emerald Weapon much sooner. I just loved his invincibility. The best of Emerald Weapon's just went miss or 0 damage to Sephiroth, while it knocked my Cloud and Yuffie out. xDD;
