~ General Rules ~​

Each bingo space is completed once you complete the challenge of that square. You must complete five challenges to create a bingo, you may choose to do all challenges in a row or column, or you may create a diagonal from corner to corner. Once you complete a bingo you will be awarded 1pt. You may choose to do more on the same sheet, this will require fewer and fewer challenges to garner additional bingos each worth 1pt. and each cleared board gets an extra 5pts. However, if you get stuck, and don't want to do a more difficult challenge, etc, then you may start a new bingo card, but only after completing at least one bingo on the initial sheet.

You may start on any space you'd like. And continue to have free selection over which spaces to complete.

Specific rules for each challenge are listed below.

Please post your bingo sheet in a spoiler along with any updates or new challenges. This is a requirement so that I am able to track your progress and ensure that you get credit for all of your work.

You must use the following games:
Column 1 (Kanto): R/B/G/Y or FR/LG
Column 2 (Johto): G/S/C or HG/SS
Column 3 (Hoenn): R/S/E
Column 4 (Sinnoh): D/P/Pt.

Challenges are over after defeating the elite four. Exceptions: After defeating Red in Generation II versions, and after you defeat Alder/Iris in B/W and B2/W2.

No hacking, unless there are no available pokemon before the third gym. This pokemon must match levels of other pokemon of proximate route. I have generally tried to create challenges that avoid the issue. If it is possible to do so, then you should not trade or hack in a pokemon.

HM Slaves should be used sparingly, they cannot compete in battles either.

Emulators are allowed, however, no action replay codes are permissible.​

~ How to get started ~​

Optional- Requests may be made to exclude certain monotypes and monocolor challenges if the user has already completed them.

C) No other challenge exclusion will be made for the time being.

2) I will then post a Bingo Card for you, which is randomly generated, in the Participation Section after your request.

Monotype​

You may only use pokemon of a certain type. Dual-Types are permissible. I have ensured that at least 4-6 pokemon will be available of the type assigned depending on which region you are completing.

High Stat Challenge​

Spoiler:

1) Lookup base stats in order to make a team in which their highest base stat reflects the specified stat.

2) For tied stats, you must capture a pokemon in which their nature boosts the specified stat, a pokemon that lowers the contending stat, or both. Only applies to Gen III onward. Prior to Gen III, the stat can simply be tied as the highest.

3) For High Stat - HP, the base stat needs to be the highest, or tied with the highest, and you must capture a pokemon with a neutral nature. Only applies to Gen III onward. Prior to Gen III, the stat can simply be tied as the highest.
NOTE: Base stat's are different in GEN 1 games RBGY, so watch for that.

Scramble!​

Your team will be selected by another member. Other members must assign at least 3 pokemon that are obtainable before the 5th badge. Also, they must assign teams that are obtainable before the elite four of that version. All pokemon must also be of unique species; no duplicates. Banned pokemon include: Any pokemon below 350 Base Stat Total and legendary pokemon. And to the participant, you must use at least 4 of the pokemon listed by the other members, but you may not choose any of your own wanting.

Gifted Challenge:​

You may not use any form of pokeball for the pokemon on your team.
Which means, there exists five ways you can obtain pokemon:

1) The Gift of Generosity: Starter or gifted pokemon (a pokemon that is just given to you).

2) Gift Swap: You may catch only the pokemon to be traded. You may, under no circumstance use that pokemon in battle. Further, obtain the pokemon just prior to executing the in-game trade.

3) The Gift of Life: You may breed any of the pokemon from the two categories above, you may also accept any gifted pokemon eggs.

4) Buy a Gift: You may purchase Pokemon, this only includes Magikarp.

5) Win a Gift: You may obtain pokemon at the Game Corner/Prize Corner.

Just make sure you have at least 4-6 Pokemon by the Elite Four.

Love-at-first-sight:​

If you capture a pokemon in any area, it must be the first one encountered. If you do not want the pokemon, you must wait until the next route to have an opportunity. Also, you cannot revisit any route to capture pokemon, once you give-up the first wild pokemon, you must move on. NO SOFT RESETTING IS PERMISSIBLE! You must have at least 4-6 Pokemon on you team by the Elite Four.

Signature Move:​

You know how those gym leaders flaunt specialty moves, that each of their pokemon possess, and then, if you beat them, they give you the tm of that move? Well, in this challenge you will be doing the same, though you are not limited to a TM move. Simply, all of your pokemon must share a common move. You must also use this move at least once per trainer battle.

Ex. All pokemon have confuse ray.

You may only train pokemon that are able to learn the move, and they must learn and keep the move through the end of the challenge.

*BW/B2W2 - You must use a acquire a TM that all of your pokemon are able to use. All other rules apply.

Rainbow Road:​

You must obtain pokemon in the following order depending on which starter you choose:

Grass Starter: Green ->Blue->Purple->Pink->Red->Yellow
Fire Starter: Red->Yellow->Green ->Blue->Purple->Pink
Water Starter: Blue->Purple->Pink->Red->Yellow->Green
Electric Starter: Yellow->Green ->Blue->Purple->Pink->Red (Pokemon Yellow)

1. You must use a starter.
2. Pre-evolutions that don't match color scheme must be evolved to match. For instance, if you are on Red and you catch an oddish, you must evolve the pokemon into a Vileplume before you move on to the next color, Yellow.
3. You must have all six colors represented by your team of six prior to the Elite Four.
4. You may not go back and evolve a pokemon if it doesn't fit in the color scheme. If you are on green, and you catch an oddish, you may not evolve the oddish into a Vileplume at a later time. However, you may evolve a petilil into a Lilligant at a later time since the scheme remains green.

You must obtain pokemon in order according to type, each consecutive pokemon, must possess a common type.

Ex. Gloom->Zubat->Noctowl-> Xatu->Starmie->Gyarados

Types: (Grass/Poison)->(Poison/Flying)->(Flying/Normal)->(Flying/Psychic)->(Psychic/Water)->(Water/Flying)

It doesn't matter what the first and second typing are as long as one type matches the previous pokemon. In addition, you do not have to begin the chain with your starter pokemon, but your first chain must be caught before the 3rd gym, at which type, you must box your starter.

Also, you must do this in order. If you have a metapod, you may not capture a pidgey. You must first evolve the metapod into a Butterfree so that there exists a common typing, flying in this instance.

Further, if you capture a azurill (normal/water type) and you catch a Skitty (normal type), you may not evolve the azurill to marill, since it would break the chain. So, be vigilant, and make sure you select pokemon that fit the chain prior to starting.

Lastly, you must complete a 6-link chain, so you will have a 6-member pokemon team by the Elite Four.

Pick-a-Route​

Simply, pick a route, and only capture pokemon from this route. You may not accept gift pokemon or in-game trades; those must be stored in the PC. You do have the option, however, to keep your starter pokemon. Once you select a route, you cannot capture pokemon from other areas, even if they are similar species. Lastly, you must possess at least 4 members on your team, and you must capture them on a route before the 4th gym badge is obtained.

Non-Evolve Team​

Spoiler:

You cannot evolve any members of your team. You may catch evolved pokemon in the wild. Other than that, just make sure you have a team of at least 4-6 pokemon by the Elite Four.

Sunny Day:​

You may use pokemon that learn the move by TM, but you must also obtain certain pokemon as early as possible in order to learn sunny day. You may use these pokemon until the TM is available. You may also use any grass or fire type pokemon along with the required pokemon. Specifs for each version are listed below.

Johto: You must obtain both Sunkern/Sunflora (before 3rd badge), AND Magby/Magmar/Magmortar (before 4th badge)

Based off my estimations, the average base total stat is around 430.
In this challenge you must obtain 6 pokemon and the average base stats must be less than or equal to 430 rounded to the nearest whole number.

How to calculate average: Add all of the base stats of the pokemon you want to use.
Then, Divide that number by 6. It's that simple. If you need help, just ask me or another member.

Bugcatcher!​

Spoiler:

Simply, catch and use pokemon from the bug-catching contest for your first pokemon.
Then, go back to the national park and catch at least 3 more pokemon, not necessarily bug-types.
You may wait two days and complete the contest again once or twice to catch up to two more pokemon. This feature is great for anyone who wants to go back and catch some other pokemon in the post-national dex bugcatching contest, before heading to the Kanto league.

At first I went with Rainbow Road, and thought, eh, too Mario Kart.
So I changed it to reference Ho-Oh's "rainbow wing". But...I forgot to change my generator settings, lol. I will just stick with Rainbow Road to avoid confusion :)

Also, for clarification, the Scramble Challenge allows you to pick which 4+ pokemon out of 6 pokemon you would like to use. But, three of those must be obtainable prior to the 5th gym to allow convenience to the challenger.
