4th Gen 3rd Gym and still only 2 pokemon......help

I still have just two pokemon, i plan to get more but the pokemon in this game so far seem mediocre at best. Im still new to this game an am used to FR/emerald. My pokemon are

Prinplup(I don't even like water types generally but I have an addiction to steel types)lvl 27
bubblebeam
Metal Claw
Growl(don't ask)
Peck

Luxio(the only reason i have him is that i needed a pokemon to beat the 2nd gym)
Charge
Spark
Bite
Tackle(see i really have a delema)

Can someone also sugest a good moveset for Luxio or eve na total replacement. I plan on getting Lucario later on and have a hm slave and togepi egg, which i plan 2 use. In a nutshell i just need help.......Thank you

Is that supposed to be an insult or something......oh and btw my egg hatched, i just thrashed rival and 3rd gym, togepi is around lvl 11, and Luxio is about 100 exp from evolving

but help wise I've lost to the gyms like crazy(more than 3 times at the second, but that was because cheating Ai got a critical hit EVERY tim ei had the edge, no exageration, man my spelling is horendiss lol

1.Learn to spell.
2.Use Quick Question and Answer, really, as this isn't that big.
3.Use Togepi (provided it has Serene Grace).
4.Get an Eevee from the house next to the pokemon center in Hearthome, and give it either thunder or firestone, or make it happy, or level up on route 216 or eterna forest, to get any evolution except Vaporeon (you already have a water type)

Level up Luxio to level 30 and evolve it into Luxray, which is fine for in-game, especially if yours has Intimidate despite its limited move pool. Good moves are:

Crunch (Lv. 35)
Return (TM 27 from Veilstone Game Corner for 8000 Coins or from 4th Floor in Lost Tower on Route 209)
Thunderbolt (TM 24 from Game Corner for 10000 Coins or from Surfing behind Valley Windworks)

If you have Platinum, catch Staravia on Route 215. If not, try to find an Abra or Kadabra on said Route.

Maylene has Fighting types, so abusing Intimidate will help. While in Veilstone, stock up on medicines in the Dept Store as well.
