I don't mind how the game looks (Though, i hate Diamond's hat), as long as the gameplay sticks to it's roots and maybe adds some stuff/take away bad stuff (EG: Like I think, they had too many legendaries in RSE).
THe 3D housing looks great, the landscape looks brilliant and I can't wait to play this game and Tbone2356, that's a huge lie mate (I've seen better though).

EDIT: As for release date...I predict November 2006 for Japan, Feb/March 2007 for America and April/May for us Aussies and for Europeans.
Also, the watch Diamond (Male Hero) is wearing...a new PokeGear or just a watch?

Whoever said that they wouldn't play the game because of the hats? o.O Let's not jump to conclusions here, I was (Much like others) simply pointing out that the female character would look a lot better without that hat. Heck, even a simple change in hat style would make a big difference. We never said that we didn't want to play the game. Riiight....there's no rule against arguing, as long as it doesn't stoop into a flame war/childish name calling I don't think that either of these little predictions will come true.

And hear hear on the pokémon-following-you-around bit, I think it would be tedious to have this huge line of pokémon walking about wherever you go (I find myself imagining my Snorlax and Cradily from Emerald trying to do that. xD), not to mention that a good deal of pokémon (Mostly water types) don't really have legs or other such things with which they could move about on the ground.

I also maintain the point about the screenshot quality. The screenshots displayed were clearly not the central thing in the picture as they were first and foremost showcasing the pictures of the new heroes, so the way I see it, they seemed to think of these screenies as little more than a funky background. Furthermore, I'm pretty sure that these ones come from an alpha/beta version of the game, so the graphics will most likely still recieve a final polish before the actual release. All I'm saying is...cut them some slack, will ya'? xD

They kept the same battle system because there was nothing wrong with it. And every other handheld Pokemon RPG had 2D battles, not just FR/LG.

Here are the characters which I cut from CoroCoro scans. Diamond (the boy) and Pearl (the girl). I also really like Pearl. I think what makes Diamond bad is the awfull hat.

And There Is Always A Fire, Water, And Grass Starter. I Doubt With All Of These Changes To 3D They Would Want To Not Keep Original Stuff. And In Pokemon Those 3 Elements Are Like The Main Elements And Are Good For Starters Because They All Are Weak And Strong Against Each Other. Water>Fire, Fire>Grass, Grass>Water.
If They Changed It To Something Like This: Rock>Electric, Electric>Phsycic, Rock>Phsycic.
It Couldnt Work Because Then Rock Would Be The Strongest And Make The Game Easier Agianst Rivals And Other People.

And About Pokemon Following You What I Meant Was Nintendo Will Proabably Never Let You Pick A Pokemon To Follow You Because With 400+ Pokemon In This Game I Dont Think They Would Want To Code All Of That Or If The DS Can Even Hold That Much Memory. But It Would Be Silly To Have A Million Pokemon Following You And They Always Are Getting Stuck Behing Trees, So I Wonder What It Will Be Like In Pokemon Ranger, Hope Its Not Too Annoying.

No, making him look Asian is not mandatory. That's simply an unfair, biased reasoning; other Japan originated characters share a variety of ethnicities. =/

I like the new looks. It's a refreshing start from the previous designs, albeit still sharing a good deal of simularities.
