    Welcome, to the January Sprite Contest Discussion Thread.
    Here are a couple things you might want to know before entering.

    Judges:
    ~Dragon~Master~
    Kai The Master
    Signomi
    Shadowburn

    Topic: Christmas (though christmas is well over this is the topic)

    Pointers you might want to know

    To improve quality and get better scores I suggest to refrain from using save formats as .jpg or .jpeg

    You may also want to make sure that for splices you make them a single color, e.x., If you mix a mewtwo with ursaring arms, to get a better score, color the arms like mewtwo.

    Try to be as creative as you can. The more creativity you show, the more marks you may get.

    Rules:

    1. No Sprite Theft. If you are caught stealing any sprites, your entry shall be disqualified.
    2. All Entries must apply to the Theme.
    3. Only 1 entry per person.
    4. Joint Entries are allowed.
    5. Judges may not enter in the contest.
    6. No just recoloured sprites.

    This contest shall end on January 30th

    Please be aware, Signomi will also be monitoring the contest aswell as judging.​

    Umm should you say how much sprites they could enter. Becouse maybe some person might even enter like 20....lol
     
    Why isn't the theme in the Entry thread?

    Why has the Jan contest started in Dec?

    Also I see no rule saying:
    Keep to the theme


    I started the joint entry thing. Good to see I had an impact on PC :P
     
    Um I don't know if this is offtopic, but how do you get to be a judge? and I'll post a sprite later.
     
    Considering the fact that there was no contest in December, I thought it would be alright to start it today.

    I shall edit the Entry thread, then.

    And Blaze, the rule was there before you even posted.

    Alright...o.O;

    The judges have already been picked. If one judge, for whatever reason, drops out, we shall try to find somebody else.

    Post it in the entries thread.. And i got another question.. Shouldnt you say what kind of sprites they could enter....Like say someone entered a trainer and they didnt know they couldnt enter it in the contest... that would be a wast of time.:paranoid:
     
    Kakashi and Sasuke Lover: You can base your sprite from other pictures relating to the theme, but no, not from other sprites, I wouldn't really recommend it.

    Anyone can enter any type of Sprite or even Pixel Art, as long as it is their own work.

    Doesnt pixal art have its own contest?
     
    It did on November, but that was probably the only Pixel Art contest. The HotS carries on its tradition of the Sprite Contest, allowing any sort of pixel work done, but also allowing splices.

    Allstories is a god in spriting terminology

    When he said pixel art he meant pixel art AND sprites because spriting is a form of pixel art. A mod should know this ??

    and can you make snow-man like sprites for this contest?
     
    There is no Size limit to Pixel Art. Though, it would be preferable if your entry isn't typically 'big' >_>

    There is a seperate thread for Entries.

    Lol. Thought that would be funny if someone made a pixel art that was 2000 by 2000. Anyway the enrty thread is right under this one. And i got a question..Shouldnt the sprites soppose to be like pokemon stuff? Something with pokemon in it? But related to christmas {somehow}
