5th Generation: Where Will They Go From Here?

In the fourth generation, GameFreak created the God Pokemon Arceus, the Space Pokemon Palkia, and the Time Pokemon Dialga.

But how much bigger can they go than that?

If it seems confusing, I mean to say, what kind of ideas will they come up with for future legendaries that haven't already been used? If Arceus is a God, then you can't really top that, can you?

So, what will GameFreak come up with next?

Possibly a real Legendary Pokemon? And when I say real, I mean like, it's existence impacts the lives of humans. I'm not really sure but I simply hope that 5th generation (if there is one) has more evolutions than pre-evolutions. No more baby Pokemon! What I was thinking was that some of the Pokemon with only 1 evolution (such as Gyarados) should have a final FINAL evolution. I think that if Nintendo makes more than 5th gen, this game will have prolonged it's end.

I hope that they come up with more Pokemon, rather than have more evolutions.

If I remember right, didn't different people design the 1st and 2nd generation than did the 3rd and 4th generations? If so, I want the guy who did the first two back. They did a really good job with those. >_<

Gyarados is strong enoguh already >:0 I hate loading my team with counters :( lol

I just hope that the pokemon designs actually get GOOD and worthwhile. Then I'd be happy. Oh, and a few defensive walls that can wall the pants off of specsmence, azelf, and mixed infernape.

    THEN I'm good ;)

Completely agreed. 4th Gen seems like they strained to make it. But out of the 150 they made, most of them could have been tooken out for greater ideas. 5th gen better have atleast 75% that is great. And limit the Pre-evos and evos to 4 at most for each. New guys need to be made instead of expansions for allot of guys.

You can make a Universe pokemon or a spirit pokemon?Maybe a day or night Pokemon?

They really don't have anywhere to go except maybe make a remake or G/S/C then probaly a Pokemon MMORPG, but that's just my opinon on the topic

I personally think all of this new epic "space time and beginning" mojo with these new legendaries is way overdoing it. Pokemon just isn't that "epic" and "grand" to pull of something like that. It's very out of place. So no more of that type of thing, or at least nothing on that grand a scale. But really, the only thing I need to be happy for next gen are new Pokemon that, for the most part, don't look like they were pulled from the rejection bin, because that's exactly where they belonged in the first place.

Yeah, I agree, it leaves very little room for anything else. They just have to be creative, it's not that hard to invent legendaries and storylines that don't completely overdo it. I had some good ideas even.

But some of the features I'd like to see are:

secondary moves- really weak moves with 50 or less power (with no real major secondary effect, like confusion and water gun) for just training and stuff that perhaps couldn't be used in competition. Maybe 2-4 of them.

'Pass turn' function. It's annoying to have to wait a turn when you're just going to hit nothing

All the 'regions'. That would make the game last a long time and older people would like it more.

A little less childish. Doesn't have to be serious but if it wasn't always some ten year old kid trainer going around it'd be a relief. You should at least be able to choose your character.

More original moves that don't rip off each other and whatnot.

If Gyarados had an evolution, the entire metagame would be thrown out of the window. It would probably have a max. attack of more then 450 =0

Seriously though, there are other Pokémon that NEED evolutions, and would be useful. Such as Girafarig, Qwilfish and Stantler, for example. Second gen Pokémon are neglected, IMO.

Why can't they just stay as basic, no-evolution Pokemon? :|

I'm not saying they can't. But in my opinion, I believe that Pokémon such as these could use evolutions, instead of pointlessly sitting there. I've never come across anyone who uses Girafarig in a battle.

I don't see the need for an evolution, though. It'd kind of ruin it for all of the ones that don't have evolutions. :I It would be like...

Every one of them evolving...It'd be kind of lame.

Also, I want the battle tower hax to STOP! ARRRGH. I hurt myself in confusion literally TEN TIMES IN A ROW.

If they take the time to think up good new Pokemon (and like you said, better designs) I might be okay with new ones. I don't like 3rd and especially the 4th. xD
Maybe we'll get a mixture. A few new Pokemon and a few more evolutions. There are several Pokemon out there that need another evolution...but I'd still like some of them not to have one. :)
