4th Gen 6th Pokemon for my platinum play through?

I have come back to playing Pokemon platinum after 5 or so years and have just beaten the 7th gym. This was done with 5 Pokemon and I'm looking for the 6th to try and plug any holes there may be before I progress. Open to suggestions for the 6th Pokemon and minor changes to my current team.

Gallade: level 43, lax nature
-Thunderbolt
-Psycho Cut
-Drain Punch
-Leaf Blade

Staraptor: level 44, quirky nature
-Aerial Ace
-Fly
-Roost
-Close Combat

Empoleon: level 42, careful nature
-Flash Cannon
-Blizzard
-Surf
-Peck (needs to be changed)

Gabite: level 42, brave nature
-Dragon Claw
-Shadow Claw
-Flamethrower
-Earthquake

Weavile: level 43, timid nature
-Night Slash
-Focus Punch
-Shadow Ball
-Ice beam

I'd remove Focus Punch from Weavile. If you get hit while charging Focus Punch, the move will fail. A good replacement would be Brick Break.
