No, because Butterfree, although awesome, only appeared in the anime for about 10? episodes while Beautifly appeared for the whole of Advanced Generation.

I think that probably Beedrill..even though its kinda more 'evil' than Butterfree it would probably be alright. Also for Beautifly it would be Dustox..just like Beedril...kinda evil looking but still could be a great friend ^^

Beedrill isn't the best Pokemon but I can't think of another one ^^ I'll go look on the list of Pokemon and try to find a better one:

I totally agree, guys! And my computer is having some sort of virus, and I can't see what I typed on the screen, it's really blur, so I may not be able to be active for some time, sorry ^^;

EDIT: Both of you spelled Masquerain correctly, and I think Venomoth and Beedrill suits Butterfree equally, though Venomoth looks more... OK then Beedrill, but Beedrill definitely is tougher-LOOKING.
