A A A A A A A...B!

I used to button mash until I did the accidentally forget a move thing. So annoying so now I don't mash

I actually read the npc text and I use the B button now, because my A button is "mashed" already. My friend partially destroyed his ds with his constant button mashing. its A,L ,B and Y buttons were unusable. (He bought a new one the next week and the L button is almost unusable again;))

I tend to mash the B button only during battles. XD
Other times I read what people have to say in the game.
50% of my enjoyment out of the games comes from the text.
It makes you feel like you're more into the game, and it can indulge you into the storyline better. :3

The fact that you can mash A and occasionally press B to do most of anything in Pokemon games is part of what makes it so wonderfully multitask-able. I can make dinner, do art, watch a movie, read an article, or even do homework at the same time as playing it, and I'm generally terrible at multitasking.

As far as the story-related bits of an initial play-through, I do definitely keep focused on it and take the time to read, as with important plot-point battles, especially when it's one I've anticipated and I get all into it X3

I hardly ever mash. I'm a reader! I like the text!
'ヮ'

I mash a bit when training, but not otherwise. I tend to read what people say to me, or just press A slowly cus I'm doing something else at the time. The Elite 4 speak forever though, so after I've defeated them once, they tend to get mashed.

I read the dialogue the first time around (even the most pointless of signs and characters) but on all replays I button mash. I think the worst is the Pokémon Centre; sometimes I go round and around in circles with the Nurse's speech because I forget to press B instead of A. 8| I'm sorry your life is so devoid of meaning that you have to announce the stresses of your job to me each time I enter the PC, but stfu and heal my Pokémon! That's what you're getting paid for, isn't it? (Is it? Or do you just turn up anyway?)

Uh... On both sides, for sure.

Haha. I've never done that during a battle, BUT WHILE TALKING TO THE NPC'S- YES! Ugh, it's so frustrating. Especially when you have to listen to them over and over again. =_=
