4th Gen A few D/P Questions

I've looked through various Q&A topics, but I couldn't find answers to some of my own Diamond and Pearl questions.

First off, how on earth do you change your height and weight in the Pokedex? I sadly might not be as skinny as 75 lbs, but I'm certainly much taller than 4'5".

When you go to the cave that Mesprit's in and you see it's sprite right before it leaves, does that indicate if it's shiny or not? As in, if I see the sprite shiny, it's a shiny, right? Or do I actually have to go and battle it to make sure?

Thanks for your help in advance! Knowing the answers to these will really save me a lot of time and energy...>.>

Concerning the weight, that was just feature in a pre-release version of the game.
It's not in the game so you can't enter your data.

1)You cannot input your weight and height into the Pokedex

2)You will have to battle Mesprit to see if it's shiny.

Okay, thanks! I find it odd that the height and weight can't be changed, it used to be 4'5" and all of the sudden it became 4'6". := But thanks again!

The height and weight are the preset for the character that you're playing as, Dawn or Lukas.
