"Nice to meet your Haru." Razz said with a bit of a struggle. She saw him knock down one of the people. The other guy that she had seen had dissapeared as he others comeing. Razz smiled at Haru's battle cry. He's very interesting! Weird! She could hear the guy who had attacked Kanu, he was running off. "Haru! Qai! Take care of them, the one who attacked Kanu is running off." She yelled as she raced toward the sound of the footsteps. It was harder to see without her nightvision. Looks like I'm going to have to use it. Razz's eyes changed from the pretty violet, to a pitch-black. That's better! She was finally able to catch up to the Ability-user. Rapidly she pulled out her staff and set it on fire. Her whole body was engulfed in fire. He lauged at her. He didn't have to say anything, all she had to do was listen to his thoughts, and somehow he knew it. 'You can't beat the curse and you can't beat me!' he thought. Razz rushed forward and shot fireballs at him, he dodged. She continued to attack him in this manner. Why isn't he attacking?

I saw Razz dart off after the user, and i saw one running twords the tree. "Sorry, just missed him" I said, springing out and knocking his feet from under him with mine, extending my claws and raking them along his belly, cudding long gashes down his front. "whoa....didn't mean to do that...." I said, stepping back and retreating into the shadows, watching the man twitch as spasms raked along his body. He was dying. And I had killed him. "What did I just do..." I thought, my eyes wide. "Why didn't I just go for the pressure points like always...." I whispered to myself, looking at my claws, blood dripping from them. I was a murderer.

The X-Men were born with their powers, so were we. We're not so different from them...

"Well Teria, shall we go then?" asked Stab.

Stab dropped any remaining spikes on his body, not too comfortable for flying he thought. Stab had tried flying once, he attempted it by stretching the skin on his arms to form crude wings. A fall through a tree and a landing on a pile of rocks later, Stab had decided he'd leave pioneering flight to the Wright Brothers. Since then, he'd relied on using his stretching powers to use his arms like a pair of ropes to swing about with.

I wonder what real flying will be like...

Teria nodded and closed her eyes for a moment. Large silver/blue wings appeared on her back, glittering slightly in the moonlight. If one looked closely they would see that the wings were not attached to her back but they worked as if they were. She opened her eyes and raised a hand. Golden light appeared before her and formed into a large golden ball that split in two and twisted itself into wings. The two wings fixed themselves on Stab's back by connecting to each other over his back and creating a band around his chest as well. "You won't be able to control those wings yourself but you don't really need to. They'll just do what my wings do. It may be a bit uncomfortable for a while but you'll get used to it. That's what my sister said anyway."

Teria jumped into the air and was kept air born by her wings. Instantly the ones attached to Stab began to beat, lifting him into the air as well. "I hope you don't get air sick," she said, a half grin showing on her face. Then she turned and began to fly higher into the air.

Razz continued to attack this strange Ability-user. He just stood there, not fighting back. Razz stopped to catch her breathe. That's what he's doing! He's letting me tire myself out! 'Very good my blue haired friend. You must be a true genius!' she heard him think. He laughed out loud, and made a move towards her. Razz moved back and used blasts of fire from her feet to help her fly up. She sommersalted in the air and threw a fire knives at him. He was able to dodge most of them, but he was hurt by 2. They seared his skin, making it burn like a poision. He started to scream. It was really hurting her ears.
Through the screaming pain her ears, she was able to hear a little of something from Haru. He killed someone?! Razz threw her staff at the Ability-user like a spear, and was just able to hit him in the gut. This guy was fast! As soon as the spear hit him, Razz raced back toward Haru. What did he do? Razz got to the place where she had left Haru and Qai. Razz saw the guy laying on the floor, he was twitching, then all a sudden he stopped moveing completely. She wouldn't have been able to see Haru in the shadows if she hadn't have had her nightvision on. Razz could see dark red blood dripping from Haru's claws. Qai was a couple steps back from him. She walked towards him. As soon as she was close enough so that he could hear her without her haveing to scream, she asked him. "What did you do Haru? Why'd you kill him?" Razz's eyes went back to her normal violet color.

This is really turning into X-Men, I'm friggin' Angel now!

In response to his own random thoughts, Stab grew three long, thin claws on each hand. He grinned.

Now I'm Angel AND Wolverine!

He wasn't sure about air sickness, but motion sickness hadn't been a problem for Stab for ages. One must have a tolerance to it if you wish to imitate Spider-Man's web-swinging as your primary mode of transportation.

Stab found that flying was just as exhilarating as the Flying Ability-users claimed it was. The oncoming torrents of air ruffling his hair and streaming across his skin comforted rather than discomforted him, and the high-altitude air flooding his lungs was a welcome refreshment to the musty air of the city's streets.

Stab circled around Teria once, then he stationed himself beside her. Another inhalation of the fresh air surrounding him, and Stab asked, "So, what was it like? Growing up with 'Advanced' Abilities?"

Teria smiled as she watched Stab enjoying his wings. She did a few spins of her own, concentrating to make sure Stab's wings didn't imitate hers. She listened to the wind, searching for patterns and words that made it sound like music. Sometimes, when she was younger, she used to sing as she flew, using the wind as a guide for her words. She hadn't done that in a long time.

"So, what was it like? Growing up with 'Advanced' Abilities?" She looked at Stab, considering his question. "Interesting. My sister was always jealous but I made her feel better by letting her fly with me whenever she wanted. We used to live in the country and it made things a lot easier but when we moved to the city I had to work hard to conceal the fact that I could make wings sprout out of my back. And until I went to the Facility I had trouble controlling my calming Ability. I still can't stop it from affecting me most of the time."

"I-I didn't mean to! I swear!" I said, stepping back, my eyes wide. It had truely been an accident. I had no intent on killing the person, only to knock him out. "Please, believe me!" My eyes were shining slightly in the dark, probably making me look like some kind of monster in the shadows. It was my own personal curse, the curse I had since before Ino had died, people always ran away from me, unless I could find some way to hide my abillities, they regarded me as a freak or a mosnter on sight, throwing things and trying to kill me. I didnt hold anything against them, afterall, people usualy fear what they do not understand. The X-Men went through this, and im sure other mutants did as well. This is why I had the scar over my left eye, in one of the riots a shard of glass or something else had raked across my eye, forcing me to flee. But now, they had a reason to fear me, I had killed someone, even if they had possilbly been evil, I had killed them. This would haunt me for the rest of my life, and there was no way to wipe the memory from my conciess.

((dang, I still cant spell that word....))

Wow, most I got when I was younger 'bout my abilities was being referred to as a freak.

Stab's family had accepted him when he was younger, but the rest of the world hadn't been so understanding of him having Abilities. When he got to The Facility, the insults changed from being about him having Abilities to not having the 'right' Abilities. Some people just never are able to get a break...

After attempting a backflip, Stab's flight pattern stumbled. When he regained his aerial stability, he spoke again, "I mean, at The Facility, what was it like to have the tutors take a liking to your powers? The tutors always turned me away because I all of my Abilities are physical, which they think is 'Primitive.'"

Razz listened to him explain, and then listened to his thoughts. He really didn't mean to do it, he's killing himself over it. She watched as he backed even farther into the shadows. She could hardly see him now. Her violet eyes went back to the pitch black. She could see him loads better now. His face was twisted in anguish. Razz could hardly stand it. She'd never really seen someone like this. "It's okay!" She said trying to comfort him, "I know you didn't mean it. It's fine. You can be forgiven." I took a step closer to him, but as soon as I did, I felt the curse comeing back on. I heard footsteps a little ways off. I could hear the Ability-user luaghing at me, tormenting me through my mind as he walked closer. Why is it every time he comes close to me, the curse comes? My ears started ringing and my eyes were hurting. I dropped to my knees covering my ears, trying to the slicing pain out. My eyes went from black to violet. Fire swarmed around me as I tried to keep it at bay, trying to get rid of it. 'It's no use my blue haired friend, you can't stop it!!'

I could see she ment it, but when she fell to her knees I knew something was wrong. "lower your flames, just long enough for me to get through." I said, waiting, going to knock her out and get rid of the pain. "I wont hurt you, I promice." I said, hearing someone get closer. I could feel the curse coming on too, but it wasnt as strong for me as it was for her. It seemed that the closer the person got, the stronger the curse became for each of us. I saw him, standing there, I could see his blue hair. "Wait....are you....Ino?" I asked, I knew it was stupid, but there was a chance, afterall, Ino was the one who had given us the curse, and if this man, whoever he was, could bring it out, he could be no other person. "Not again.....but this time...im going to have to." I said, my limbs shaking, this person was somehow hurting the only person to have tried to comfort me for years, and I was not going to stand by and let it happen. "IM GONNA KILL YOU!" I yelled, leaping at him, my claws extended and my teeth bared as I landed ontop of him, my claws sinking straight into his shoudlers, my fangs inches from his face. "STOP WHAT YOUR DOING TO HER OR ELSE!" I yelled, the rage in my eyes enough to scare away even the bravest of users. The rage of a cat, caring for its kits, even though it may seem feminine, it was the rage of a mother animal. The rage of a lioness, the mightiest of caretakers.

Razz couldn't hear anything that Haru was talking about. She knew he was saying something, but she didn't know what. All of a sudden she saw his eyes and face, they turned from twisted agony, to full out rage. She was able to move a little, just enough to see the Ability-user. Haru jumped on him and his claws went right through the other's shoulder. She was able to move now, but the pain was still there. She let the flame go, and ran over to the 2 boys. She could barely see them, or hear anything that either of them were saying. She used her staff to try and pull Haru off the other guy. She had some luck. She surrounded the other guy with fire, and she heard him laughing again. 'You think this will hold me girl?' The pain had gone away. Razz ignored him and turned to Haru. We need to keep him alive. We need to know if he has somthing to do with a cure."

"Of course he has something to do with the curse! Id recognise that ugly mug anywhere! ITS INO!" I yelled, prepaired to protect Razz from him with my life if nessisary. My claws still extended I wanted to leap at Ino, my tail lashing violently back and forth, my eyes showing the fury only a mother lioness protecting its kits would know. Razz was the first person to ever show me compassion, and I wouldnt forget that. "If he dosnt stop what hes up to right this minute ill kill him with my bare hands!" I yelled again, stepping twords the flames.

Ino?! There's no way in heck that it could be Ino! Razz worriedly looked at him. Maybe he hit his head or something and he's seeing things? "Are you okay? Did you hit your head?" She asked with worry in her violet eyes. "There's no way that that could be Ino! He died, remember?" She could hear the Ability-user lauging again. At least it wasn't out loud, where Haru could hear it, he's already bad enough. Razz turned to the other guy. "What is it that you want?"

OOC: Ok, stop both of you. Ino is dead. There would be no curse if he was alive. If you need to reread the plot do so but don't make up stuff like that. Also, I might remind you that if it was Ino, both of you would be dead. Also, SilverTail, you're giving yourself too much power. Stop.

[OOC: I missed quite a bit. o_O]

Qai listened in silence as the various Ability-users were divided into groups, turning wordlessly to follow his newly-assigned teammates as they began their respective mission. They haven't even seen me use any Abilities, yet they're sending me out as one of them. Does this make them trusting, desperate, or perhaps both? Amidst his musings, Qai noted the enthusiasm of the others and allowed a dim smile to play about his features as he increased his pace to reasonably match theirs. Ever since I started having my visions, seeing people happy makes me feel somehow depressed. Still, I guess we're not dead yet. His eyes lowered. Not quite yet . . .

Qai looked up sharply at the sudden encounter of those the trio had been pursuing. For a time, the red-haired male remained still--unwilling to reveal his Abilities if they were not required and satisfied with analyzing the situation in the hope of gaining better understanding of the opponents. As the scene played out before him, however, Qai's gaze began to darken. Battle, pain, death, the initial shock after the first kill, then blind fury all met Qai's eyes. Stepping forward to intervene, Qai spoke calmly yet firmly.

"You've killed enough for one day, Haru." The gravity about Haru's feet subtly increased, though Qai revealed no signs as being the one to cause it. "Besides, this one's final blood is not destined to fall on your hands. So let your fury subside, and try to consider the situation clearly." Brushing a strand of scarlet hair aside from his face, Qai approached the enemy with a strange air of calm. After casting a perceptive glance at Razz, Qai turned and addressed the flame-engulfed enemy. "Will you or will you not grant us the information we seek?" The question was simple and direct with no hint of request in it. "Or rather, can you?"

Sorry about that Alana! I re-did mine.

OOC: That's quite all right. Just try to stick to the plot from now on.

IC: Teria tilted her head left and right, her blue eyes narrowed slightly. Finally she said, "Well, I really only had one tutor. A heroine by the name of Crystal who called herself the Crystalline Goddess. Suited her perfectly because she had an amazing power that was actually a mix of both physical and energy. She was friends with my mother, although Mom didn't know Crystal had Abilities and I promised not to tell her, and she was just there inspecting things to make sure nothing bad was going on. When she found out I was there she offered to stay a bit longer and be my teacher."

The smile that had been playing over her features during her story faded and she said, in a much softer tone than she had previously been using, "She was one of the first to go after Ino when he came into the open. She was also one of the first killed. I talked to her before she went after him though so at least I got to say goodbye. I wish I could have gone with her but I'm not use as a fighter. My Abilities prevent me from becoming angry or excited or anything of the sort. That's one reason I chose to live my life as a normal person.

(sorry alana, i just wanted to twist things up a bit and make haru go nuts before this happened...but qai kind of ruined that -.-))

I slumped and fell over as the gravity increased, not dead, made apparent when a loud snore escaped my lips. What happened...oh yea, the curse... I thought in my sleep, having forced it upon myself as the curse grew stronger. This was the way I endured the curse, I forced myself to sleep in order to escape the pain. I found out a while ago that sleep seemed to keep the curse at bay, for a while atleast, but it did effect me here, I did not feel pain like most did....physical pain atleast. Dont look.... i wihspered in my mind o Razz as the curse took full effect.

----several years ago----

"Mom? Dad?" A small boy with black and silver hair asked, looking around at what had been his home, now just a smoldering pile of ash and stone with police tape around it. He overheard two police men talking. "yea, real shame, nice people lived here too ya'know. That there ino cursed all the heros, one of 'em lived here, looks like he was an exploder by the looks of it." He said, looking down. "Yea" said the other. "Dean St.Charlesburg, he had the power to make anything inside him explode, the curse must have gotten him and caused him to explode, taking the building and everyone inside with it." The small boy burst into tears as he heard this, running straight under the tape and beginning to rummage through the ashes, not finding anything, nothing was left...but one small bell on a singed red collar. The last gift from the boy's mother.

----Presant Time----

Why....every time...why... I thought in my sleep This day....what dose it mean.....why do I keep seeing it!?!
