Suggestion: A more, mature sub-forum

I doubt cooties would even be brought up in such a forum. Come on now, our memberbase isn't that immature....
 
Ooff... I'm not going to lie, Patchisou's thing about the staff member determining maturity for each member isn't a bad idea >__>

It doesn't have to be Uni-admission-esque, just a background check for post style, maturity, and other stuff or whatever.

As for the topics, they'll be crazy. But honestly that'd be fun to see.

And still, I'm with the logic that this would crash like the T-dome. But if the problem was lying about age, then instead of determining age, determine maturity, which unlike age, can be easily proven.

Labeling a forum "mature" automatically draws the least mature members of a community straight to it, trying to convince others and themselves that they're all grown up.
 
There needs to be a master list of things that need to stop being brought up because they won't be happening. >.>
It's been brought up time and time again, and the answer will always be no.
 
I'm not a staff here, but this is a flat-out NO. I find it bad enough that there are already some sexuality-based threads in OC. As for porn, it's also no. Also, Patchisou is right in some ways, and I agree with you there, Patchy. Now goodbye.

What exactly is wrong with that?

Nothing.

I see no issue with discussing real, relevant topics like that in a mature and scholastic fashion. Not all of us are little children here. Just because you don't agree with it, it doesn't mean everyone else has to adhere to your belief system. If you don't like that, then stay out of Other Chat, end of discussion.

That's not what I'm trying to say. I'm saying that several OC threads are basically T-Dome style. Despite the fact that I was never there in time, I know what it's like. Now GOODBYE.
 
Couldn't we make a sub-fourm like Supporter HQ that can only appear to people who registered over the age of 18 - I know some people might register older but no one will notice the fourm when they join, it would be invisible.

You could Kinda make it like deviantart, you wouldn't be able to change the brithday you registered with.

Im guessing my answer is going to be: "It would stress the server"

Mature discussion :/ Although OC can be used for it, it doesn't stop immature users posting :/ A place were you have to get "permission" in a way to enter would stop immature users.

Mature discussion about what? If OC isn't working out, then point me to a thread in OC that's been corrupted by these immature people you're concerned about. Otherwise, how do I (or, more importantly, forum admins and mods) know you don't just want an exclusive club to be a part of?

idk... whatever the thread creator wants it to be about D; Just today there was in immature poster in OC. But had his threads deleted by the moderator of that section.

Yes, I am doing all this to be a part of an exclusive club, u.u how did you ever know.
 
Why would you want to post about mature topics on a Pokemon forum? There isn't a need for that, just go on MSN chat groups or something to talk about stuff like that.

Age doesn't necessarily equal maturity. I've seen members who are under 18 and yet act more mature then those who are that old and older. The best way to go about it would probably be as how Patchisou suggested it. By selecting the members who can participate in the said section due to how mature they are on the forum. At the same time I feel like it would be a lengthly process and possibly not something the staff would want to take the time to do. Either way I liked this idea when it came up before, but I guess it's a no so far.

Maybe not recently, as the new rules put forth by Higher Staff and myself have cracked down on that sort of thing. But historically speaking, you can go back and find plenty of threads like that.
