The other day I FINALLY got a Pichu plush that, for various reasons, I've been waiting on since February. I'll blame conflicting schedules between the seller and I and the fact that Canada Post sucks. Someone on twitter said "pics or it didn't happen" or something to that extent, so I provided. :]
:> Awww aren't they precious? I've got one more "set" coming in the mail and then probably no more for a while unless I can get my hand on the fuzzy Gizamimi DX doll. But I'm rambling. My newest plushie is the top-most little one, with the tag still attached. Isn't she cuuute?? Apologies for the less than stellar photo. xD; A black backdrop wasn't the greatest idea.
In other news, I beat Platinum today! I went in with a team that I thought was super underlevelled but I splurged on a bunch of Revives and Full Restores and tried anyway. At least my failures would be good for experience, right? XD I ended up winning with this team:
Jeef (LV58) - Saved me aaaall the way through. <3
Lumaria (LV56) - See above except fainted more. But Leech Seed saved Jeef's ass a lot so it's okay.
Larx (LV54) - gained like 2 levels somehow lmao
Pedo (LV51) - Gained 3 levels. Was pretty damn useful.
Namine (LV51) - Sat there and looked pretty
Gina (LV47) - See directly above but include fainting every single battle.
I think a few of them gained a level here and there but yeah. That was my team. I'm pretty sure in Diamond I couldn't beat the E4 until my team was all level 60 or something so I have no idea how I managed it tonight. Especially since my critical hit woes returned!
Some may recall how much I whined at the beginning of my playthrough I was plagued by critical hits. There would be one against me every battle at least, almost. After an absolutely horrible time of trying to beat... Mars? Jupiter? Whoever you encounter at the Windworks. After trying for AGES to beat her and being unable since she'd beat me down with multiple critical hits, I managed to win and it seemed like all my troubles disappeared since the hit ratio normalized.
But OH HO HO HO that was too optimistic of me. Little did I know, those critical hits hadn't just evened out, they were just biding their time. Anyone who follows me on twitter probably saw me flipping out as I went through each battle. I had to restart maybe 2-3 times in the beginning because within the first 2 battles I had like 6 critical hits against me. o_O; I think my final count through all of the Elite 4 was like... 16 against me and 1 made by me. It was ridiculous. ;~;
However, I managed it. And now I'm not sure what to do with myself. Maybe I'll continue trying for that one-of-every-Pokemon pokedex completion I started in Diamond. This is kind of an abrupt end but whooo I just got really tired so I'm going to bed. XD
less than a week to AN omgggggg
