Suggestion: A Shipping Forum?

    Hear me out, I know we already had a Shipping forum for Pokemon before and it didn't really made huge activity. But how about a General Shipping forum? Maybe it could be a subforum for GE perhaps? In it, maybe you could discuss shippings from different mediums of genre, for example, a thread for Hunger Games shipping, another would be for Divergent and stuff. etc etc.

    Of course the threads should be monitored well, as this could lead to flames and bashing and stuff.

    What do you guys think about generalizing all of the shipping into one centralized forum? Btw I'm aware that there is a shipping thread for Pokemon so yeah :x
     
    I don't know. I don't really see shipping as a whole discussed that much. Unless there's something I'm missing? But I mean, a shipping thread in Pokemon Anime and one in Anima and Manga don't really have enough activity on their own to warrant an entire forum, I'd think. That's just two threads...unless there's more I don't know about.

    Even PokeAni/AniManga's don't get enough activity to be a forum. It aint as popular as it used to be for sure. tbh the best thing to do for shipping would be to talk about it in your fan clubs and media threads, get some talk going in there. People gonna argue/disagree, sure, but hey. The fun ain't really in people talking to death about how kawaii a couple is.
     
    Thinking out loud here, but what about like "character x character" clubs in Fan Clubs? Like a club not exclusively dedicated to a piece of entertainment but different elements within it. A sub-club, if you will.

    I mean I don't really know would that even be allowed? Is that a thing? lol

    yeah we totes had those in pokeclubs dont see why fc&g wouldnt allow it
     
    I don't know, I'm pretty sure character x character clubs aren't really allowed in fcg since it's too specific. It's in the rules tho, but Megan should know more than me :x

    I'm just merely asking a suggestion for a subforum, but incase this doesn't push through, which will probably won't, I'll just make a club bout it :)

    I've perused the FC&G Guidelines thread and found no rule whatsoever that disallows the creation of character x character threads. Technically speaking, FC&G is the prime location for those kind of stuff anyway. However, it's worth noting that there might not be enough discussions to hold in character x character fan clubs. In the long run, I think it would turn into a glorified DCC, in all honesty.
     
    Uuuh, well I should think shipping discussions can go in the respective fanclubs in FC&G, right? I mean, I wouldn't really like it if someone started up a "Dave x Jade shipping thread" over at C&M or something since that could be talked about in the Homestuck fanclub.

    Do shipping discussions even go on for long though? From my experience it's mostly pics/clips/ideas are swapped for a while before other topics come up. So it's not like shipping talk would take over the fanclubs. Correct me if you think I'm wrong, avid shippers xD

    I'd rather Shipping Debates would be a subforum to FC&G, if any action should be taken at all. If heated talk of a couple comes up in a fanclub, you could just move it to a new thread in the shipping debates subforum instead of taking over the fanclub.

    If a Pokémon specific section isn't popular enough on a Pokémon forum, then it shouldn't really exist, in my opinion anyway.
