5th Gen A Sinnoh Appearance?

Cynthia is actually my most favourite Champion next to Lance and yeahs.

the time line is
R/B/Y/Fr/Lg
then
G/S/C/SS/HG
then
R/S/E
then
D/P/Pt

i don't know but i have never once heard that they are all taking place at the same time or another. they happen chronologically. Gen 1 to Gen 2 is about three years. then gen 3 is about two years after gold beats red. the gen 1 remakes are just remakes. they are not during the same time as gen 3. gen 4 is after gen three in the time line. and the gen 2 remakes are not happening at the same time as gen 4.

My theory:
Cynthia lost to Lukas/Dawn.
now Lukas/Dawn is now sitting alone in a room waiting for challengers.
Cynthia is wandering the World.

Here is a visual time line.
Emerald is supposed to be where it is because it happens at the same time yet further down the road. same teams but different champ.

Ahhh I get it. Cynthia is out and about traveling because in all technicality Lucas/Dawn is the current Sinnoh Champion.
 
This timeline thing is confusing. You can say GSC happen at the same time as HGSS because the same events happen (for example, Team Rocket taking control of the Radio Tower), but you can also say HGSS time is after GSC, because there are places that didn't existed before, like the pokeathlon; there is a Wii in your bedroom; and the guy next to the Radio Tower says something like "This new tower was built to replace the old one", etc.

So my theory each game is unrelated to the other games, so if you are playing Heart Gold, that means the protagonists of RSE never existed, so that's why Steven is still the champion, because the third generation protagonists never existed to beat him, and even after Wallace becomes the champion, Steven is still called the "true champion". The only exception to this is Gen I - Gen 2 relation, because you see Red and Blue on GSC/HGSS. Even RBY is unrelated to FRLG and GSC to HGSS.

This thread is for discussing Cynthia being in Isshu and we're starting to talk about time-lines so, stick to the topic guys. n_n

Cynthia being in Isshu gave me a shock, I must say. On the other hand Isshu has kept its word on several things so this shouldn't be a big issue, in my opinion. Issue, Isshu get it? xD;;

It's good to have at least one thing from the past--this being it I suppose. I'm glad that Cynthia has her Garchomp with her, it makes it all the more reasonable. Seeing as she has some Isshu pokémon with her this time, I do wonder if she will become more difficult for some. I know a few people who had mentioned they had a hard time battling her but the more the challenge, the better the game is how I look at it.
 
Was it ever said that a Champion MUST remain in their region at all time? I mean it's a little ridiculous to not expect them to travel. This is why I feel theres something wrong with the theory that she's traveling because she's not a champion yet or anymore. It's been showed that she enjoys traveling and has an interest in Legends. That and like I said before, it's never exactly acknowledged in the games that the Player (in this case, Lucas or Dawn) is the new Champion, as the role and title goes back to the original Champion of the region.
 
I find it interesting the Cynthia is Isshu. I think the reason she is there is to research.
 
I'm surprised that no one mentioned Looker in Isshu yet...but Cynthia is more important and famous ;)
I bet she is switching her attention to Isshu myths as the Giratina event is said to have passed and probably the Arceus Hg/Ss event did too so she wanted to look into another myth now :)

Exactly. The game wouldn't be any fun if she was easy. She'll be a very worthy opponent when the time comes to face her. Garchomp and Wargle? :D :D :D love.
